She’s waited a long time to confront me, and after one red-hot kiss, I wonder what’s going to happen when she realizes she can’t have what she wants?
JAGGS showed up about a year ago. She’s feisty and difficult to ignore. She befriended my brother, and my family loves her. But the sexy spitfire hates me. She thinks I don’t know why she wants to destroy me or why she appeared out of nowhere, but I do.
With his dark amber eyes and smooth whiskey voice, this drug-fueled rock star has somehow become my addiction.
So what if he has a black belt in playing guitar, if he’s an Army vet who can deactivate bombs, or that he bubbles over with hotness? He’s the man who ruined my life, and no matter how tempting STONE KANE might be, I plan to crush him.

Stone is my first book by Kelly Gendron. While it can be read as a standalone, I would highly suggest reading the other books in the series first as there are a lot of characters and connections that I was lost on.
I'm not going to lie. I struggled with this one a bit. I found the connection between Stone and Jaggs a bit lacking. That doesn't mean I didn't like them together, I did. I just wanted more from them. I get that Jaggs had less than noble intentions when she worked her way into the Kane family's lives and that she had some strong feelings to work through when she learned the truth. However, the constant back and forth, with Jaggs letting Stone get close then in the next instant shutting down had me ready to shout 'enough already!'.
I liked that Stone wasn't deterred by the way Jaggs kept pushing him away. He knew beneath that fortress of pain and fear was a woman who just wanted to be loved. It took a lot of patience and sharing of his own demons, but bit by bit, Stone got that wall to lower, And when she finally let it crumble all the way down, let Stone in, they both found a peace they didn't know they had been missing.
Stone was complex and there was a lot of soul searching that happened in this book for both characters. I think my absolute favorite part was the birthday scene at the end where the whole family is together, just enjoying their happiness and sharing their love.
STONE is the fifth instalment in Kelly Gendron’s contemporary, adult DARING THE KANE BROTHERS erotic, romance series focusing on the Kane siblings. This is former EOD specialist US army soldier / guitarist Stone Kane, and auto mechanic Amanda aka Jaggs Downey’s story line. STONE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. Daring the Kane Brothers is a spin-off from the author's Breaking the Declan Brothers series.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Stone and Jaggs) STONE follows the contemptuous relationship between former EOD specialist US army soldier / guitarist Stone Kane, and auto mechanic Amanda aka Jaggs Downey. Approximately one year earlier, Amanda aka Jaggs Downey arrived in Culver City, California, looking for a job at Crash Kane’s garage but in that year Jaggs’ relationship with Crash’s brother Stone started as a hate-filled, vitriolic, war of words that only worsened as time went by. Stone Kane rarely returns to visit his family, suffering the affects of his time in Iraq, a time he chooses to numb with alcohol and drugs but his last visit finds him spending the weekend at Crash’s house with Jaggs Downey, the woman with whom Stone will fall in love. What ensues is the back and forth, up and down building relationship between Jaggs and Stone, and the potential fall-out as Jaggs struggles with Stone’s rockstar lifestyle, and the potential for Stone to break her heart.
Several years earlier Jaggs’ sister Jenny died in an explosion and Jaggs Downey blames Stone Kane. Stone is an addict and struggles with his sobriety, and in this Jaggs is looking to destroy our story line hero but Stone keeps secret that truth about what happened months before, a truth that once revealed changes the direction of Jaggs and Stone’s relationship, a relationship that is about to cross the line, and never return.
The relationship between Jaggs and Stone is an enemies to lovers based upon mistaken belief and a need for revenge. Jaggs’ sister is dead and she is desperate to place the blame, seeking her vengeance against an innocent man, who himself, struggles with the death of so many in the past. When the truth is revealed, Jaggs and Stone take their affair on the road but our heroine refuses to loose her heart to a man who is capable of destroying her soul. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
All of the Kane siblings, and their mother Olivia Kane play secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Stone’s fellow band members Trigger, the drummer, Derrick, the lead singer, and their roadie Getty.
The world building reveals both Jaggs and Kane’s heart breaking and soul-crushing backgrounds: Jaggs and her sister Jenny’s ten different foster families, and Kane and his brother Steele’s birth mother’s horrific death.
STONE is a story of mistaken beliefs and a need for revenge; a story of revelations, acceptance, moving forward and love. The premise is captivating and heart breaking; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are energetic, broken but healing.
What a book. I didn't really know what to expect from this book. I hadn't read this author before and didn't realize this was a part of a series. As it totally didn't read like one. It was for me a great read and a perfect standalone.
This book is an enemy to lovers and a brilliant one at that. At the start of the book, I wasn't even sure there would be a way for this couple to even hold a conversation and wondered how on earth the story would ever end in a HEA.
Stone and Jaggs lives are thrusts together under the most terrible of circumstances. My heart broke for both of them and I totally get both of these characters. I get why they are like what they are. It was brilliant to read this relationship unravel. A story full of heartbreak, tears, love, and a sexual chemistry that can't be denied.
I totally recommend this book. And I am so pleased I chose this book. And took a chance on this author. I will now go back and read more of her work. What a great fast-paced read.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has secrets, pain, laughs, naughty fun, panty melting alpha, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first as Token crossed over into Zeke’s book of the below series. Lurlene is Token’s sister: Jax (Breaking the Declan Brothers #1) SLATE (Breaking the Declan Brothers #2) ZEKE (Breaking the Declan Brothers #3) Token (Daring the Kane Brothers #1) Steele (Daring the Kane Brothers, #2) Crash (Daring the Kane Brothers #3) Nix (Daring the Kane Brothers #4)
This is Jaggs and Stone’s story. Jaggs has secrets and came to town for revenge. He is the man that ruined her life and she is going to crush him no matter what. He knows just who she is and is not afraid after all he knows the truth. Secrets are revealed and a friendship forms which turns into more. But what happens when all the secrets of the past come out to them and his family? She is shattered at the events of the past and blames herself. When he comes for her in front of his family, she knows they are hurt, and more secrets need to be revealed. Can they really have a future after such a tragic beginning?
I loved both characters. Got a glimpse of all the other brothers in this series and have to save I can’t wait for their stories. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the fifth book in the series, and I would highly recommend that you read them in order, as undoubtedly you will fall back into the Kane world much more quickly that way - and understand some pretty complex family dynamics! But if you start here, you will also get an amazing story, and will definitely be tempted to go back and get the full level of goodness.
Jaggs, Crash's best friend and employee at his car shop, has a thing for Stone - a serious thing for him, something that no one in the Kane family has a clue about. Stone knows, and he knows she is wrong, but then he has a thing for her too, so if she keeps herself away, that is safer for her.
It is not easy to have much sympathy for Stone, and as we see him from Jaggs' perspective, it is easy to think poorly of him, very poorly. And Gendron leads us down that path very effectively, that is for sure. As the layers are peeled away, as Stone starts to believe he might have a reason to live, and Jaggs realises how she has a real family, yet she may have blown it,
I really enjoyed this complex relationship and watching it finally come good. Add in all the other Kane goodness that we got caught up with, and I am a happy reader!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. I have waited for Stone's book because who doesn't love the bad boy rocker? Well, he has his demons and they haunt him daily. His way of dealing with them is his addiction. He tries to fight that too but sometimes he falls off the wagon and sometimes he jumps off that wagon. Music is what helps him but sometimes he can't keep the demons of his Army days away. And then there is the day he met Jaggs that haunts him too. Jaggs came to Cali for one thing only and it was to destroy Stone. His brother Crash is her best friend and she works at his shop. Stone's whole family loves her but she wants what he took away, but that can't happen so she will destroy him. As she learns the truth, she begins to see the real Stone and her feelings for him are changing. She has always been attracted to him but these feelings are different. They are growing closer, Stone is opening up to her, telling her about his demons and his past. Can she forgive him for the past? Will he be able to convince her that it was not his fault? Will the guilt destroy what they have started? Is there a future for Stone and Jaggs? I have loved this whole series but I think Stone and Jaggs is my favorite couple. Their story is filled with all the pain, heartache, and love to make a story great. This author has a way of making you fall in love with the characters from the beginning and leave you wanting more.
The Kane Brothers series is excellent, Stone was the one that was most mysterious. Thought he was a famous rocker, that did not mean that he felt successful and it was heartbreaking to see his side of things. Then there was Jaggs, and that is a whole 'nother situation that will tug at your heart. These two started off as straight up enemies because you can feel how much Jaggs hates Stone and seeing the progression is really what makes it special.
All in all, if you are looking for a book that is full of drama, secrets, but also redemption and super sexy times, this is the book for you. I really enjoyed this series and this book. You might want to start at the beginning of the series to fully know the buildup and how far the family has come. In general, I give this 4 outta 5 stars!
PS: Thank you to Kelly Gendron and Give Me Books PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.
This is the first book I've read by Kelly Gendron (and yes, I realize it's out of order) and I absolutely loved it. I can tell you right now I will be reading more. The story drew me in from the very beginning and the characters were so relatable.
Stone and Jaggs have such broken backgrounds. That they would find each other, and that they would be exactly what the other needs to heal each other... So beautiful! And that ending!!! It was perfect! All of it! The humor, the tenderness, the family! What a great story!!!!
Stone was the fifth and final book in the Daring the Kane Brothers by Kelly Gendron.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for awhile but a few quick thoughts: it was an enemies to lovers theme against the backdrop of a famous rock band. Gendron unraveled a few mysteries and filled in some holes from previous books and was an emotional storyline. I struggled with a few areas but all in all it was a quick read and a good ending to the series.
Stone is the packed full of emotions, Kelly Gendron gutted me with Stone's story and then tore my heart out with Jaggs' story. The words she put on the pages pulled me into Stone's story. I didn't want to climb back out.
Past books in the series told the reader that Stone had problems. Past books told the reader that he had the support of his family. Past books told the the reader that his family never gave up hope that Stone would find his purpose and himself.
Past books gave us a big of Jagg. But the reader really never truly new Jaggs' story until now. Grab some tissues. If you didn't cry reading about Stone's past; the emotional build up is going to boil over when you get a look at Jaggs' past.
My heart bled. My eyes wept. My head hurt. Luckily, there was always a glimmer of hope oozing through the pages leading me on, Taking me to the finish line. Kelly Gendron healed me with an ending that has me glowing. So beautiful. So precious. Just perfect.
Wow I enjoyed this book. The characters are well developed and engaging with undeniable chemistry between the couple which made for a great storyline that kept me entertained throughout the pages. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jaggs is best friends with Crash Kane and is watching his shop and house for him when his brother Stone shows up drunk and high. Jaggs loves all of Crash’s family except Stone and there is nothing Jaggs wants except revenge on the man who destroyed her life and took her sister, Jenny, from her. Stone Kane is a guitar player in a band and was in the Army where he deactivated bombs. He understands why Jaggs hates him so much but he says he isn’t to blame and if Jaggs wants him to keep quiet about what he knows about her being in town she is going to have to spend some time with him. When Stone forces Jaggs to spend time with him will she see the real him and realize how much he truly cares about her and that he had nothing to do with her sister’s death? This was such a great book and I loved it from start to finish! At the beginning I had no clue what had happened to Jenny but gradually you learn what happened and why Jaggs blamed Stone. I got it but at the same time I knew that Jenny had to blame someone and I did feel bad at how much anger was directed at Stone and how far she really went to get her revenge. Meeting Stone for the first time definitely did not put him in a good light but I could see that there was much more behind the guard he had up. It was interesting as Stone really didn’t seem to love his rocker lifestyle as much as it showed in the press but he was also still really trying to escape from his time in the military and all of the blame he felt over certain events and everything he went through overseas. I liked how possessive Stone was over Jaggs and how he said they were together almost instantly as he didn’t want anyone else making a move on her and he was willing to wait for however long Jaggs needed for her to see how he felt. Stone was willing to open up to Jaggs but she never reciprocated and therefore as the two began to get closer there was still so much hanging over their relationship. I understood why Jaggs past had her so against drugs and alcohol and I can’t imagine going through what she did. It broke my heart and it’s sad that certain people struggle over the choice between drugs and being a parent. I absolutely loved the scene with Stone in the bar when he came home! I did a huge happy dance for him! I really hoped that this would let Jaggs know how serious Stone was with her. Hearing about Stone’s own past broke my heart and I loved his conversation with Steele. I was sad when Nix discovered more about Jenny’s death and I hated how that changed everything with Jaggs again. I give Stone so much credit for doing what he did as he really had no other choice! I loved when Jaggs finally figured out how she truly felt and went after what she wanted! The end was awesome and I can’t wait for more! By Rebecca
Stone was the Kane brother who had left and no one really heard anything from him for long periods of time. He was dealing with so much death and destruction after serving in Iraq on the bomb squad. After what he had seen there and then what we are surprised to find out in this book regarding his childhood, it is really no surprise than he had turned to booze and drugs to deal with everything he has been through. Stone was also a guitarist for a rock band that was drawing more and more fans. The groupies and drugs came easy…until he latched eyes on someone while he was entertaining a groupie. Jaggs had become a part of the Kane family since arriving in town and had shown up at one of Stone’s concerts with his brothers.
Jaggs and Stone’s brother Crash had become really close friends from the beginning since they both were dealing with deaths and Crash even hired Jaggs as a mechanic for his garage. Stone knew her real reason for coming to town and latching onto the Kane family but things had changed and she wanted nothing more than to belong to this family that showed her love that she never really had as a child.
The connection between these two was one heck of a ride. There were so many secrets and trust issues that they had to look at even though they were drawn to each other physically. Could Jaggs ever except Stone knowing all of the baggage he was carrying and could Stone forgive Jaggs for wanting to hurt him for what happened to her sister. Yep, I told you there was a lot going down between these two but I am so glad I was along for the ride of the story between Stone and Jaggs. If you haven’t read about the other Kane Brothers make sure you grab your copy of their books because I loved each and every one of them!! I highly recommend this book and this series.
"The first time I met her, I felt her desire. It's strong and effective but she keeps it caged."
5 Hide My Feelings Stars!! Wow what a completely emotional and twisted read this was!! So good!
Stone left town because he needs to deal with the trauma he's been dealt. It's been a rough life for this guy and he turns to booze and drugs to mask that pain. And better yet being in a band he's got easy access to those things. Including women... but none of those women can match up to the on he's got his eyes on... Jaggs. Jaggs works at a autoshop for her best friend Crash, and she's got it bad for Stone, but it's a secret she keeps guarded to herself. The only problem... Stone knows exactly how she feels, because he feels the same. But these two know they would never work together, it would be trouble. But how long can these two keep away?
This book is definitely different and emotional. The characters together are so perfect and well put together. Jaggs and Stone's back stories are beautifully told and you can't help but feel for these two. I loved Jaggs because she doesn't take anyone's (you know what). And Stone's journey is definitely super traumatic but Kelly handles it so well you can't help but feel for this man! Loved this addition to the series!
I have read the first three in this series and skipped Nix to land on Stone. It was a while ago when I read the others so any references or preconceptions of the MC’s in this story were not strong. What I read of their characters in this installment left me pondering who Jaggs was especially. I get that she was hard around the edges, her revenge drives her, her history makes the constant push and pull mostly from her get frustrating. She is right to apologize to Stone for being difficult and not nice to him. She really knows how to hold a grudge. It takes a lot to move her on from her entrenched beliefs.
The storyline was engaging even though it was equally frustrating. I didn’t understand why the dynamic of the lead singer in the band was depicted the way it was without some sort of plot reason...just bagged out this guys character and left it at that. I loved the relationship between Steele and Stone, I didn’t like how the editor or proof reader for this book allowed small editing issues on names, POV and some other confusing situations.
I loved Stones POV he really admired Jaggs whilst she kept her cards close to her chest. It took so much patience from him to finally get their HEA. He was a great redeemed hero but her growth was slow and I’m not sure it happened due to moving on or her new circumstances by the end of the book. I would happily recommend this author as I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read from her.🙃
Oh no.... The last Kane brother.... An end of another series.
We have had pits and pieces of these characters throughout the series but never really gotten to see too deep. It kept the suspense of the character alive. I never would have put these two together but.... it was so worth the wait.
Stone has not been around very much over the years. Popping in and out, trying to keep his issues on the low down. Not that he was really hiding anything from any of the brothers. Loving his family but trying to keep them at a distance, until he was ready to be the man he thought they deserved.
Jaggs had her own agenda when she arrived but kept it hidden well. Little did she now that she had it all wrong. Hard pill to swallow, when the man you think you hade turns out to be the one who makes you feel. The worry that crossing the line will cause you to loose the only family you have known recently is real.
Can Stone and Jaggs have what all the other brothers have found? Is there an HEA in their future?
*** Advanced copy provided in exchange for an honest review. ***
I knew when I started reading the Kane brother's stories, the author was going to take me on an emotional rollercoaster ride and she definitely delivered! The characters are real, relatable, flawed and/or broken. They tug at your heartstrings, cause several tears and make you cheer when they get their HEAs.
This book was Jaggs and Stone's story. They initially meet when her sister Jenny is killed in a bomb blast. A year later Jaggs has worked her way into the Kane family to get revenge on Stone, who she thinks is responsible for Jenny's death. The only problem is Jaggs has fallen in love with the members of the family despite her hatred for Stone. Stone blackmails her into staying with him and his bandmates after he tell her what really happened on the day of Jenny's death. They continue to hookup while he is on tour. Once he comes home for a break, he outs their relationship to his family. They have a lot to work through but do get their HEA in the end.

I loved Stone he was such a great character and it was easy to fall in love with them. He had his flaws and suffered from addiction, I know how hard it is to love and struggle dealing with someone who struggles everyday but I didn’t like that his family accused him of using again at every chance they had. It made my heart hurt for him and I knew it couldn’t be easy on him but the family is a tight knit group and I’ve loved all of them I just didn’t like how they handled poor Stone’s issues. Jaggs was also a great character, she was stubborn and strong willed but I didn’t like how she accused and hated Stone and to find out she had no true reason too but she redeemed herself by choosing to love him flaws and all. Together they struggle with their pasts but together they help lean on each other and discover a love that is unbreakable. Such a great read and loved seeing the rest of the family and can’t wait for more.
This was my first read by this author, and even though I did enjoy it, I didn't love it as much as I wanted to.
Rockstar romances are one of my all time favorite tropes, but there was just so much going on during this one. Jaggs (our heroine) smuggled her way into the family and is very close to the Kane brothers and their significant others, but she's really there to get revenge on Stone. The thing is, Stone has known what her plans are all along, knows that she's deceiving his family.. yet can't help but fall for her.
That's all well and good, but I never felt the chemistry between these two. It all just felt so forced, and the back and forth of Jaggs letting Stone in one minute just to shut him out the next. That was all just so frustrating for me.
This book was definitely well written, but like I said, I never felt their connection, so I didn't fully connect with this book myself.
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions.**
What a book. I didn't really know what to expect from this book. I hadn't read this author before and didn't realise this was a part of a series. As it totally didn't read like one. It was for me a great read and a perfect standalone.
This book is an enemies to lovers and a brilliant one at that.
A story full of heartbreak, tears, love and a sexual chemistry that can't be denied.
I totally recommend this book. And I am so pleased I chose this book. And took a chance on this author. I will now go back and read more of her work. What a great fast paced read.
Broken doesn't mean that it can't be repaired. While everyone thought Stone was a bit of a lost cause (even when his family never gave up hope or gave up on him) Jaggs helped him. Made him feel worthy. Also makes him behave. This story is centered on 2 characters that have suffered significant loss and a lot of guilt. Because of it Stone is skeptical about love. But when it comes to Jaggs he just feels at home. On the other hand, his past and present issues hit a little too close to home for Jaggs. So she proceeds with caution when it comes to Stone. Sometimes even getting stuck. But the best part is that Stone likes it when she is sassy. And even when he is very strict with time, he is a patient man. Knows when to push and how much. So he always gets his way. She can't compete with his determination. He is a sexy reserved alpha with a big heart willing to endure anything it will take to get the girl.
Stone is the final Kane brother in this series and even though I loved Jaggs and Stone together, I am a bit devastated to leave these brother behind as each has had so many trials and tribulations to get to where they are now and I feel like I’m also a part of their family with how they’ve burrowed into my heart❤️
Jaggs had a purpose when she came to California and it wasn’t to fall in love with a Kane brother, but her attraction to him makes her hate herself and him for what he took from her😢 Stone knows why she’s there in Cali, but after some time passes he decides to confront her and it opens a whole new playing field for them, that they suddenly finds themselves as friends/lovers as opposed to enemies😍
A wonderful story and I loved it and would definitely recommend❣️ I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review🤩
HOLY HELL! I've read many enemies to lovers stories, but then there's Stone, which is leveled up. Jaggs HATES Stone, like not just a little bit, but HATES him, and she's come back to town to get revenge. Stone knows what she's up too, knows her secrets, but I was baffled for much of the book trying to figure out how in the world they could get past everything. This means there's mega drama, next level angst, f-bomb worthy twists since secrets don't make friends, but then there's the chemistry which won't be denied for long, so when it's done waiting, it explodes into super sexy times for these enemies. I'm making this review short & sweet because I truly truly believe it's so much more powerful to go in blind. So hit those one click buttons to find out if they can get past their tragic past. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Stone is the story of Jagger and Stone Kane. This is a hate to love stoyline but also a rocker and drug storyline. However while Jagg has hated Stone he has had a big attraction to her but he also understands and forgives her for her hatred of him.
Over the last year she is his brothers best friend, a close family friend and the family loves her. But she is really there to get revenge with Stone until he confronts her. On that night he is drugged and she has to care for him and an attraction is born and forgiveness for the past is given.
This is there story as they both form a relationship and learn to let go of the past and move on to the future. It really easily stands alone as Stone and his band is the center of this story and not his family.

I truly loved this story. I have enjoyed each and every one of the stories on the Kane Brothers. Stone was totally awesome. We got to see a side of Stone in the book that we did not see in the other books. We truly go to get a good look at him and understand who he is and why he is the way he is.
I loved Jaggs. She was a person that was strong but full of hurt and revenge. This story will let you get a deeper look at her.
There is some serious chemistry going on between Jaggs and Stone. No matter how much Jaggs does not want it to happen it is like a force pulling her toward him that she can not explain. I love how Stone was not willing to let go of the thing that was happening between them. He was a man on a mission and he was determined to explore what this was between them.
This is a story I would recommend. You just can not go wrong with this story.
This book is part of the Daring the Kane Brothers, this is Stone's story. Stone is alot of things but dumb or unaware is not one of them. Jaggs has weasled her way into the Kane family's good Grace's. Her ultimate goal, is to get close to Stone and destroy him like he did her. Revenge is a bugger, especially if you are on the receiving end. But if your target is well aware of you and takes control of the game, where does that leave you? Another fantastic story for the series, even though each brother holds a little piece of my heart after reading their stories, I believe Stone stole the rest of it. There is so much more to Stone that is revealed, no wonder he disappears and alcohol and drugs become his favorite companions. Enjoy!

Stone, the mysterious Kane brother, delivers a sexy and heart-breaking yet hopeful story. Jaggs has found a family but she has secrets that may push this new family away from her. She truly hates Stone so when this story starts, how these two could end up together is truly a mystery. Each one is caring the battle scars of a hard-lived life. The beauty of this relationship is the patience Stone shows as he finds ways to have Jaggs in his life. This allows both of them to find a comfort zone to confront the demons which just might allow them to open up a door to love. Truly fabulous how this happens while also keeping us connected to the wonderful Kane family. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Jaggs has hated Stone with a passion for the past year. She found him and set out to destroy his life like he destroyed hers. One unexpected kiss and an admission will change her plans. Stone has wanted the fiery woman who hates him for nearly a year. Can two broken souls mend each other’s hearts?
I have loved all the Kane brothers and was so glad to really get to know Stone. He is so much more than portrayed in the previous books. A man battling demons he can’t see every day. Kelly Gendron writes such emotional and heartfelt stories that make you fall in love with the characters. Loved that we get glimpses of the other brothers as well. Looking forward to whatever is next from this great author.
Stone has left his military career in his past and is now a member of an up and coming band. He tries to numb the pain of his past with drugs and alcohol but that only goes so far.
Jaggs is not only working for his brother but is best friends with him as well. She has become an honorary member of the family but when she came to town she had an agenda and she isn’t about to be deterred despite the pain it may cause her or those she cares about.
Stone knows who she is and why she is there but as the secrets and truths are revealed will they realize that with love they may just be able to heal each other? Stone and Jaggs journey is filled with emotion, twists and heat but that only made the outcome that much sweeter.
Stone (Daring the Kane Brothers) by Kelly Gendron. WOW- is it hot in here or is it just me! Just finished Stone and I have to say that I am going to miss the Kane brothers and the steam they have created in my kindle and fantasies. I really like this series…and it just keeps getting better with each new character and storyline. This story contains a good mix of drama, sexy scenes, and strong characters. There is a nice balance of grit and steam throughout this book. I love the main characters – their chemistry is so HOT!
