Short, steamy insta-lust-to-love series where the dragon comes into his own ;-) I have loved this series of dragon love through the alphabet. This is the letter “C” with Counselor Callie and Crane the dragon soon-to-be. You see, these dragons have either been “out of commission” in their humans for a very long time or don’t even know that they have a dragon living inside them. In each book Ms. Winters has successfully introduced the female to her male dragon and her internal female dragon in highly different ways. Quite ingenious actually. Callie works as a counselor at a prison. At the end of the “B” book about Bonnie and Brogan we are told that a school chum of Bonnie’s has a dragon looking for her and Addie (from the “A” book) gives Callie a call to warn her. Callie thinks her friend has been taking some kind of drug until…Crane barges in and throws her to the wall and announces: “You’re mine.” Oops. Maybe there was more to that story. Crane has lived a life of assault and thievery. He just gets these irresistible urges from out of no where and he follows through. He’s unaware that his dragon is trying to come out. The result is that he has a very checkered past. Callie must think hard about her next step. Crane has six more months to serve on his prison sentence. Can he manage to hold his dragon in check after meeting his fated mate? Does the prison have an ulterior motive for holding him in solitary? This book gets very interesting and even more steamy as it progresses. The next book in the series will be about Dorrie the Doctor and her fated mate Diesel. Can’t wait. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended if the reader likes short, steamy and entertaining PNR books.
This is a delightful and entertaining story about a prisoner who is brought in to the see the therapist at his prison, only to recognize that she is his mate! As Crane was led into her office, he had abruptly pushed Cassie up against the wall, announcing loudly, “You’re mine!” The guards, thinking he was trying to hurt her, shot him. Fortunately Cassie has some knowledge of dragons and has had some warnings from friends so she is better prepared for this, knowing he won’t hurt her. She feels an odd connection to the man already. What did he mean that she was his? His victim? His prey? His … MATE, a voice whispers in her head? Her friend Addie had told her about this, about shifters. And as Cassie watches 9 men try to lift the prisoner’s body, she notices the bleeding has stopped and the wounds were actually closing!
Crane is unaware that the dragon inside him is eager to come out. He keeps having these irresistible urges and acts out which gets him into constant trouble. Callie is worried that Crane has six more months left in prison. She told him she won’t press charges since he didn’t hurt her and she can hopefully convince the warden to forget this ever happened. But can Crane possibly control his dragon for those six months so that he can be released? As for Crane, he had always acted out before. But being near Callie, he felt a strange calm wash over him. He could do this for her. He does care this time how it all works out. Will he get to a HEA with his mate?
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It's the counselor/patient aspect that was "Um..." to me. I know it's fiction, I know it's paranormal, but any book that has that authoritative-figure/subordinate relationship makes me uneasy.
Getting out of my head to read the story was difficult because of it. Added to that was Crane's seemingly indifferent attitude to the havoc and violence that followed in his wake. Mind you, it was done because he didn't have any idea he could change into a dragon, but even after knowing he just seemed to shrug it all off. But being around Callie offers peace and calm he's never experienced before too. For a man with such a checkered past and mental imbalance, having the eye of the storm be the center of his world was what he needed. It was easy to see why he couldn't and wouldn't let her go.
There's still time on his sentence too. It's a matter of keeping their relationship as underwraps as possible, which is going to be nearly impossible because the pull between them is almost too difficult to resist.
This was an okay story in this series. I like the connection to the first two books, how each woman is part of a sorority from years ago and now are a part of each other's lives thanks to their dragon mates. For the sake of the series, it was worth reading as Callie was mentioned at the end of book two, but I'm not sure I'll read it again. Two out of three (so far) isn't bad though.

Int his book we meet Callie and Crane. Callie can hardly believe it when 2 of her old sorority call her up out of the blue. The things they say to her have her thinking maybe they need her counseling skills almost as much as the inmates she is currently working with. She can't believe they warn her that someone possibly close to her is actually a dragon. All that changes she she sees her next client Crane come into her office. Crane has been in and out of trouble most of his life, he has never had what happened in that office happen though. All it takes is one look at Callie and Crane loses control. He doesn't know what is going on but the serpent or demon that he has been seeing in his mind since his childhood is back and it wants to reach Callie. Three bullet wounds don't even faze this man. Will these two figure out what is happening to Crane and get a HEA or will outside forces make sure that never happens?
This is another hit is this series. It can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading them in order just so you don't ruin any surprises. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This is the 3rd story in the wonderful series, Dragon’s Curvy Mate. In this story we get to meet Callie a curvy woman who is a counselor at a prison. Callie went to college with Addie and Bonnie who have found their mates in story 1 and 2. Addie thinks Brogan who is Bonnie’s mate has figured out their are more dormant dragons out there and as he looks at a picture from the girls college days. Addie reaches out to Callie to give her some insight of what to expect but how do you believe her story? While Callie is working with her patient, Cane goes a bit crazy and ends up being shot by guards for going after Callie. She is surprised by his actions and what he says and as she processes it some of her conversation with Addie starts to make sense. Cane is alive and sent to get medical help and Callie stays with him and boy is their a pulse of electricity between them. Callie realizes that Cane will not hurt her but protect and care for her. They experience some crazy time together before they know they are meant to be together and once they know what to do to move forward Cane needs to take care of those out to case him and Callie harm. I preordered this book and forgot about it. I then received a free copy of this book via Booksprout. Don't Judge. Callie is a counselor/psychologist working in a prison counseling the guards and prisoners alike. Out of the blue she gets a call from her sorority sisters Addie and Bonnie spouting tales of dragons and other mystical nonsense. Thinking they are both bonkers, she half listens to the call. After hanging up and dismissing the callers as crazy, her next prisoner walks in, under guard. Once Crane spots Callie, he screams "You're mine!" I am liking this series. The stories are short, sexy, and fun. I am definitely seeing an alphabetical trend with the naming of the characters. It is fun to be learning about this dragon world along with the characters. While the stories are short, the world-building that the author is growing is getting bigger. Different protagonists are coming into play. If you enjoy dragons and the feisty BBWs that are their mates, grab a glass of your drink of choice and dive in.
Crane is in prison for robbery & assault and he is having all these thoughts about dragons but doesn't know why. So they get him to see a Counsellor. Callie has seen most things but when she meets Crane everything changes. He breaks his chains and goes for her but she knows he would never hurt her. How does she know he wont hurt her?? What is going on??? Crane cant get the thought out of his woman being his. When her old friend rings rang her and starts talking Dragons everything got confusing. and it wasn't until she goes and visits that her eyes are wide opened. And wow are they opened. All because she ate a star dust cookie???? And finally everything makes sense. But can she get to Crane before he does something. I thought this was a slow burner but woohoo believe me when I say this is a fantastic read. I just couldnt put it down and im so excited for the next book in the series. Bring it on!!!!

This story about a not so crazy convict that meets his mate who is a therapist at his prison was wildly entertaining. Crane all his life thought he was crazy so he acted out in aggression lands himself in prison. This is where he meets the curvy Callie, the therapist there. Once he sees her he know that she is his. We got introduced to Callie in the last book in the series when the girls Addie and Bonnie informed her that her dragon mate will be heading her way. Callie doesn''t believe them until Crane actually crashes/meets her. She feels the connection. Once both comes to grips with their fate, the two are unstoppable and lord help anybody that stands in their way. A lot of delightful twists and turns encounters the couple. Among the mayhem they bond and they found happiness. I literally roared when Crane took Callie to his little hideaway...Dragons and their hordes...LOL

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Dragon's Curvy Mate series. In this book, Callie is a counselor at a prison and Crane is an inmate she is going to see in therapy. Crane has always had a violent past and has trouble controlling the beast in him. Crane doesn't know he is a dragon. When Callie gets a phone call from Addie and Bonnie warning her about a dragon claiming her as his fated mate, Callie thinks they are crazy. When Crane sees Callie, the first thing he does it try to attack her, but Callie is not afraid of him and realizes he is her dragon. Callie tells Crane about his dragon and Crane realizes for the first time in his life that he is not crazy and wants to shift to break out of prison and run away with Callie. Callie refuses and tells him she needs time to accept things. I liked this book, i liked Callie, she surprised me and had secrets of her own. Another good one in this good series.
Callie is a psych doctor in the prison. Crane is a prisoner. He’s serving for years for which felony or misdemeanor I am not quite sure. But he has roughly about six months before he supposed to be released. Addie and Bonnie the first two dragon Mrs. called her to let her know that she was on the list of offended me to the dragon. Callie of course is a believer and ignores her until Crane comes in the room. Crane of course has no clue that he is a dragon but can smell her. For her being a scientist it is hard for her to except that dragons exist let alone one is after her as her mate. After that things get unbelievable on how new dragons and all dragons are coming together. After calling back Addie for more info, It is up to Callie to calm to savage beast... ah dragon. Action, prisoners with No cliffhanger.

I was not really enamored with this book. The H is in prison and has serious mental health issues. The h is the prisons mental health counselor. He thinks he has been crazy his whole life because of his dragon. He has no clue what it is. So he has taken what he wants and feels no regret. The H sees the h and immediately goes crazy. The guards, thinking he is attacking her shoot him and put him in chains. She is confused and strangely drawn to him so she goes to the infirmary. The story goes on from there and they get their hea. I just did not like the H. He is just too crazy for me and too blase about violence. I really do not know whether to recommend this or not. I didn't like it but others well may.

I’m loving this series and this is the story of Callie who is a councillor at the local prison she helps the guards and the convicts with their problems. A prisoner Crane comes in to talk to her but as soon as he see’s her he says mine and jumps to grab her Callie screams and Crane is shot in the back a couple of times but he is still alive. It takes Callie back to the phone call that she received from Addie and Bonnie Callie’s sorority sisters telling her about shifters and men who turn into dragons and that it was coming for her, Callie thought that the girls were drunk but now she believes it all and she knows inside that it’s her destiny to be with Crane. That’s all I’m going to give this is an amazing story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Book 3 has us visiting a prison. Callie is a counselor there. There is a prisoner brought in, he breaks the chains and leaps for Callie. Callie is having a time trying to convince her self that Addie is crazy, but she can't deny her feelings. A new dragon in more ways than one. An ending that makes for some interesting future reading. A sorority that had no idea 10 years prior when they took a picture. A new danger to the dragons mentioned from the first 2 books. This has been an interesting series to read so far. The characters have chemistry. I am curious as to this new organization and the sorority. Only the next book will give us answers. Until then... enjoy this book and wait to see what the new story tells us.

Callie was a curvy women, a Councillor at the Prison, she had a phone call from Addie an old school friend. And now Crane is in her office with gun shots in his back, somehow Cane is still alive. Somehow she knows that Crane wont hurt her and that shes protected. Crane, his body is healing and i Callie is making him want to change into something. Theres something that he can see within himself a dragon who tells him its not time yet but Callie is his mate. Wonderful twists and a lovely turn make this story really good to read, i loved how this book has this one special twist that changes the story and dosnt go how the audience thinks it would. Definately worth 5 stars for a truely wonderful story!! looking forward to more !!!

This is the third book in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but much better to read them in order as other characters pop up in the next story.
Crane is a hardened criminal. Locked up for robbery & assault, he is in dire need of help with his mind. In steps Callie, the prison counselor. As soon as Crane sees her, he launches himself at her - She is his & he has to tell her! Callie doesn't recoil, scared. No, she sees his inner turmoil & wants to help.
What comes next in their story only enlightens them both & draws them into a very sweet HEA tomelt the readers heart!
Well done Annabelle. Corrie's turnnext& I honestly cannot wait!!
Drangon's Curvy Counselor is hot, steamy and mystical that will have you melting in your seat as your tear through this story.
Crane is in prison and Callie is the prison's counselor. When they are put in the same room their inner beast call to each other. With help from Callie's sorority sister she is able to help get her mate.to safety.
Annabelle Winters has another great story that definitely does not disappoints.

This book is a wonderful continuation of this series. I loved the characters. I like what this author is doing with all the names of the characters and their children (and professions of the ladies). I've been enjoying this series. I absolutely loved the dragon Callie turns into. The pages of this book flew by crazy fast. I was surprised when I got to the end; I was enjoying it so much. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. I volunteered to read an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion which I'm voluntarily leaving.
This new book 3 in the Dragon's Curvy Banker Series is a well-written, instalove book with great characters that have a lot of chemistry. It has sweetness and darkness rolled into one. The characters have some depth, but has a lot of chemistry. It has no cheating and no cliffhangers. Story is mainly a quick and dirty dragon shifter story. Guaranteed HEA. This series of dragon love goes through the alphabet and this is the letter “C” with Counselor Callie and Crane the dragon.

This is a short book about Callie, the prison counselor, and Crane, an inmate. This is the third book in a series and even though each is a standalone book, the stories build on one another. I love the vivid imagery that Ms. Winters uses when she is describing the dragons. I can see them clearly and frankly, it makes me wish I could see them for real. I am anxious to read on in the series and get to the next book. I highly recommend this series of books.

An interesting short story that can be a stand alone story but us much better understood if you read the first two books in the series. I found the premise very interesting and the characters to be cute but some work on the overall story would help. It's like the author threw you into a lake to learn how to swim but forgot to tell you how. Background on certain thugs would have help to make a more rounded book.

I really enjoy this series. I think this one has been my favorite so far. I've enjoyed them all, but just something about this one is more to me. I loved Crane and Callie together. After she accepted her dragon, it just flowed well. It was sexy short read about fated mates. You don't need the other books to read this one, but they do provide some context. I'm excited to read the next one. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This one was great! So much tension before just exploding into such a great story. I loved how crazy Crane was! And then Callie just rolling with it! These two went on the run before meeting up with the others in this series. And what a great HEA. I love how we get to see the other characters. Great addition to the series and can’t wait to see the next one.

Dragon's Curvy Counselor by Annabelle Winters is such an awesome story that I have read. This is book number three out of seven in this awesome series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the next book in this awesome series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about dragon shifters, romantic suspense and paranormal romances.

This was an interesting story with a prison psychologist and a dragon. The story was good, and the ending was happy. The big reveal was interesting, but just seemed a bit anticlimactic. The story is well written, but leaves me with a question as to why a dragon shifter allowed himself to be caught and imprisoned in the first place?

This was a very intense, over-the-top, instalove, quick read romance. Crane and Callie generate lots of sizzling heat and powerful emotions as their story unfold. Toss in a bit of sweetness and some action and you have yourself a very fun and hot, check reality at the door romance. This is my frank, freely posted review.
