Rate this book
Danny Sanders is no stranger to death and loss. While running from her past, she arrives at Wild Horse Ranch, thinking it will be a way to make fast money and move on again. She was not anticipating Flame, a horse with a spirit much like her own. Flame shows his first lively sparks upon Danny’s arrival at the ranch. She was not planning on Liam the handsome jockey next door either.

Liam O’Connor is used to being the man with all the answers, but around Danny he only has questions. Who is she? What secrets could she be hiding? Why does his heart beat faster when she is around? Piece by piece he will have to break down her walls. In the process, Liam will have to share his secrets as well.

Can two people used to running stay and fight when their past catches up with them?

Flame is the beautiful love story of Danny and Liam. The chemistry between the characters is explosive and they both bring lessons from the past to their relationship.

This book is emotional and consists of secrets, drama, and eventually trust between Danny and Liam.

Overall, a great book, and I would recommend it!

This book was very enjoyable to read, with romance, humor, and drama. Danny and Liam have great chemistry together from the very first time they meet. They also have a lot in common, including both going through sad events and difficult times in their childhood and as they got older. As a result of this, they both have trust issues and difficulties with sharing what they have been through with other people. I really like this story line and how it affected their relationship throughout the story. I also enjoyed that the main setting of the story was set around horse ranches as this seems like a hard working but beautiful life. Danny has a sweet relationship with the family she is working for and living with at their ranch. This book is mainly about the romance between Danny and Liam, but I like that there are other additional story lines involving the friends and family members in their lives. I thought this was a great book because it was a great combination of love, pain, humor, family, and friendship.

Flame: Wild HeaRts by Mary Scully is a beautiful love story but with many other details that deepen relationships beyond romance. The central characters are Liam and Danny, both have pasts they want to leave behind, but to have the healthy and happy relationship they want, they need to expose all their secrets.
Dany, who escapes from her reality, wants to go to a place where no one knows her and be able to start from scratch, due to this she discovers Fairmore, a small place. She starts working at the local bar, but soon finds a new job at a beautiful ranch called Wild Horse Ranch, and there she meets Liam.
The story is fresh and very well told. When you read the chapters you go through moments of sadness, but you also take off a lot of laughter. The flashbacks of Danny's life in the middle of the stories really make the narration very emotional.
I definitely recommend reading this book, it is great to spend a very entertaining time.

This is a beautiful love story. “Flame: Wild Hearts” was written by Marie Scully. It is my first time reading something from this author, and I can say she is amazing. I hope to read more from her. This fiction book is written for a general audience.

This book tells the story of Danny Sanders a girl who needs a fresh start and goes to Wild Horse. There she knows Liam and falls in love with him. She has a lot of secrets that make her feel unsafe but while time passes by, they spend time together and discover that they can trust in each other.

Curiosity is aroused by the smart use of dilemmas and flashbacks. My favourite parts are when they fall in love and when they share all their secrets.

This was a great book to read, perfect for these quarantine’s days. I had an amazing time with it. I enjoyed it a lot so I highly recommend it.

Running from your past:
Danny is mysterious and wants to keeps her past to herself. Meanwhile Liam is also running from his past but when he meets Danny together they find belonging and healing.
This is a new adult, coming of age story where the characters are still trying to find their place in life. As a consequence it was a bit immature at times, however it was still an enjoyable read. I liked that there was depth as the author dealt with substance abuse, death and family dynamics, yet this was all done in a sympathetic and respectful manner. It was also great to see the characters personal growth.

Danny and Liam meet at Wild Horse Ranch. The main characters have traumatic backstories and are both slow to trust someone and let them in. Over time, they start to trust, but all the bad has to be said before they can fully connect with someone else. The locale is very well described so you feel like you are at home. The intense emotions and stress hit them from all sides as things change around them and in them. I will be rereading this one again, just to see if I missed something good in the background.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This was my first book by this author.
Danny has been drifting for a while now but she is tired of running. She leaves as soon as anyone starts to ask questions about her past. She is finally making friends and feels at home for the first time in years. Only Liam complicates things and is willing to share stories as long as she does too.
Liam is a successful horse jockey. He uses the horse to out run his demons. The pull he has to Danny is unlike anything he has ever felt. He just needs her to stay.
I really enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this author.

I Enjoyed this emotional journey between Liam and Danny. Both are used to running when things are tough. Both have pasts that were far from easy. When Liam and Danny meet things are different. Will their feeling for each other break down the barriers? I enjoyed their connection and how they were with each other. Liam seems like the perfect guy!

[did not finish] stop at 54%, couldn't continue anymore because i was really bored out and the book is kind of slow paced. also, the author keep giving snippets of the characters' past in the chapters which is so annoying. why can't the past be written all out then continue to the present?

Overall I liked this book. I will admit at times I found it difficult with Danny. I get that she is messed up and has been through a lot. However, Liam has been through just as much. He tries but she pushes him away. Thankfully in the end they finally get their happy ending.
