This massive collection covered nearly every type and kind of feminine rage and power that one can imagine. Some of them were amateurish and boring. Some had misplaced priorities. But almost all were readable. And some... Some were breathtakingly original and good. Overall, I found this to be a memorable anthology that introduced me to several new authors. Recommended.
There were some really good stories in this collection! Here are my favorites: "The Pekkamodo Hunt" by Jeanne Adams; "Justice for Tillie" by Nancy Northcott; "An Exile and an Orphan, I" by Jessica Levai; "Dominance" by Jody Lynn Nye; "Lot Lizard" by R. S. Belcher; "On a Hill Far Away" by John G. Hartness; "How Joyful This Work" by Cat Rambo; "Little Black Riding Hood" by Lucy Stone; and "Malpractice" by Seanan McGuire.
I’m not usually a fan of short stories but I couldn’t resist this collection of scifi/fantasy stories with female protagonists. My favourites were Lot Lizard, Justice for Tillie, and Little Black Riding Hood but there’s a really varied selection of stories here so there’s something for everyone.
