The dropship had thundered through the atmosphere like a comet, chased and harried by Xannix ships. Splashdown brought its own set of problems. The plot completely falls apart in this in the author kept cramming in more twists that only paid attention to the immediate previous double cross or reveal but made the story from 30 to 40 pages before it make no sense. Also made all of the interactions in the first book not make sense. The technology differences that should have existed but were put aside for the story really bothered me. Suggest no matter how much you liked the first one skipping this.
