As far as I can tell I don’t have a submissive bone in my body. So why do I like it so much when Marshall calls me his good puppy?

I’ve made some impulsive decisions in my life, but signing a contract with the K Boys to shoot an Introduction to Kink series may have been the biggest impulse ever. Sure, the intimate part of it doesn’t faze me, but the rest is way more intense than I had expected.

Luckily, there’s Marshall, the consultant who oversees all shoots. He’s so calm and steady, and he’s there for me when I panic. That doesn’t mean I suddenly like being tied up or something…until Marshall introduces me to puppy play. I want to be his good puppy…and much more because it’s hard not to fall for him.

But I still have a contract. I don’t want to disappoint my boss, I need the money, and what the hell was I thinking signing up for this?

This isn’t a long-term career plan, Marshall is only temporary in Vegas, and I may have made the biggest mistake of my life… Or have I?

Ziggy is a low-angst MM romance that shows a variety of mild kink, including puppy play. It’s the second book in the K Boys series and can be read as a standalone, though it’s more fun to read the books in order.

I'm struggling to rate this one, so I'll tell you my pros and cons.

Pros:
- Puppy Play
- An MC finding his kink
- Tears (from me)
- Well-written

Cons:
- Not a lot of focus on the porn
- Not a lot of focus on supporting characters even though they play a big part in why Ziggy likes living in Vegas
- Kinda shallow storytelling and frequent jumps in time
- Sorta one-dimensional characters
- A big conflict that's magically really easily solved

I started out by thinking I would rate this 4 stars, but the more I started thinking about it, the less I liked the story. I also have this magical threshold with my GR shelfs, where 4 and 5 star rated books are labeled 'favorites', and at this point I don't even know if I would ever want to reread this, and then I just don't think it belongs on a favorites-shelf..

Sweet puppy play romance from Nora and K.M. and nicely free from any unnecessary drama or angsting.

There's more to it than just the smexy times, with both Byron and Marshall finding their perfect partnership while the former is exploring his own inhibitions.

Another wonderfully written story from this writing duo. It was well crafted and engaging as well as a one-sitting read for me. I couldn’t wait to find out how the so very likeable Marshall and Ziggy navigated their Dom/sub relationship which involves puppy play. You knew from the start that Ziggy, (Byron), had not a single clue what he was doing or what he was getting himself into, except that he would make the kind of money he needed after being fired from his teaching job in New York, and now being one-step away from being on the streets of Las Vagas. Marshall saw this. As a consultant for the Kinky Boys studio, his entire job...his only job, was to make sure that the guys that were making the videos and signing the contracts, knew and understood every word of what they were agreeing to...and this man so obviously...DIDN'T. He had never even been inside of a "Kink Club". There is a huge amount of chemistry and trust between Ziggy and Marshall. It was perfectly sweet that they took their time and were friends before the sparks started to fly. Once there were sparks the heat and steam levels rose 100%. There’s a very low amount of angst, but there is some really cute and mischievous "puppy play". A sweet romance blossoms as Ziggy and Marshall, explore the path that will lead them to their "happy ever after". The only thing that I wish would have happened is that there would have been more "getting to know you" type of talking between all the guys working at the Kinky Boys studio...but maybe that will come. I did find this one to be another very enjoyable read just as it is written, and I am sincerely hoping there is actually going TO BE a "next instalment" in this fantastic series.

Was it exceptionally written? No. Will I remember Marshall and Byron next week? Probably not. Did I devour it in a day? Yes.

This book was exactly what I needed. Smutty, kinky fluff that required very little thought or brain power to read.

It was almost 4 stars but it lost half a star for the ending. I didn’t like the fact that Byron ends up being the one to make all the sacrifices.

I loved the Ballsy Boys series so much, and even though this is the same authors it feels like someone completely different is writing. Daddy and Ziggy have both been really underwhelming for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn't enjoy this as much as the first book.

For some reason I had a bit of trouble liking Marshall. I'm not even sure why, but I just never connected with him. Byron was easier to like, but even he seemed all over the place at times. I guess I had a hard time connecting to both of them now that I think about it some more.

The porn thing didn't bother me (even though I expected it would), because it was handled really well. Byron had two scenes with Harley and it was clear that while Byron loved the sex, they were not a good fit. And Marshall was present for both of them, so it never bothered me that there was basically sex with other people in this story. It was before they got together btw.

I was a bit bored with the relationship (and the sex), but when we got Marshall moving back to New York and Byron staying in Las Vegas I was kind of done with this book. Don't worry, it does end in a HEA. But I wasn't quite expecting the drama, even though it wasn't even that dramatic to be fair. It wasn't dragged out, but it still bothered me a bit.

The puppy play was very well done, but it's still not my kind of kink.

I did love all the other boys, and now that we met Byron's roommate Gregory, I want his book! Since he's looking for a Daddy to take care of him. Now that's my kind of kink. :D

A sweet story set in the porn world, this time the kinky porn world of Las Vegas. I like the author's characters and cheerful banter and the situations they get into but by the end, in this case and often with their other books, I'm over the sex scenes and just want the romance. After all, if they are going to be together forever, shouldn't they have more to their relationship than sex? Eh. Maybe it's me.

This story featured puppy play and Ziggy was the perfect pup. Full of energy, fun, and a zest for life. Marshall was older, mature, a well-grounded Master. As i said, the author(s) know how to create memorable and easy to read characters. If you are interested in a puppy play romance, this one is great.

I have one more little quirk that I'll put behind a spoiler because it's editor related.

I needed a fluffy filler read from all the angst I’ve been consuming lately. KM never disappoints in feel-good filler reads.

This was also my first foray into “Puppy Play.” Like I said, I wasn’t looking for substance or anything. This is the kind of book you read to fill your time while you look for other books.

This was...meh. It was what it was.

I’ve been fascinated with kinks lately. After reading some “twincest” I thought, why not go all out and try Puppy Play?

It was...cute. It was...fine. Honestly, I’m sure there’s better books that portray this kind of kink.

The characters were...fine. I’m a huge fan of KM Neuhold, and her MC’s usually have great chemistry. This one was kind of lacking in that department. As in, it didn’t really do much for me *wink wonk*.

It was pleasant, I guess. I really enjoyed Daddy, the first book in this series. I might move onto one of her other Puppy Play books.

A Joyfully Jay review.

Ziggy is the second book in K.M. Neuhold and Nora Phoenix’s Kinky Boys series. Many of the side characters here are introduced in the previous book, Daddy, where they are hiring actors and building the studio. That said, I think this one works fine as a standalone. This series is fun and a bit playful, with a nice camaraderie among the studio members and a lightly kinky tone to the books. I found this story particularly interesting as it focuses on a novice to kink in Byron, and in reality, he turns out not to really like most of it. Puppy play definitely ends up being his thing, however, and it is so much fun to watch his happiness as he finds his connection to his puppy self. But Byron has gotten in over his head with other aspects of kink and his feelings range from apathy to serious anxiety about the different things he may need to do in his scenes. Of course, Byron is never pressured and both his boss and Marshall quickly step in before he ends up doing anything that makes him uncomfortable. But I thought it was a really interesting approach to a kink story to see it through the eyes of someone who respects and appreciates kink, but realizes for the most part that it is not for him.

Ziggy is the second installment of the Kinky Boys series by K. M. Nuehold and Nora Phoenix. It continues the story where the previous book Daddy ends and the stars and crew for the new porn studio are now assembled to begin shooting scenes. The story revolves around Marshall, the consultant from New York City, and Byron, aka Ziggy, one of the sub stars. However, Ziggy is not so sure he is a sub and he is very inexperienced in kink which leads to several problems. He begins shooting scenes with one of the dom stars but can't get fully into it and doesn't like some of it. Because of this he is worried that he may lose his job which he can't afford to do because he lost his former job in California. Marshall has begun having feelings for Ziggy and steps in to help him through it. As they continue to work together Ziggy discovers his true kink and is slowly falling for Marshall when a major problem for the relationship occurs which I am not going to give away in this review. I really enjoyed this book especially where the studio wants to show viewers new to kink what happens before, during, and after a scene, especially the caring aspects of the doms with their subs. Also the scenes at the studio and between Marshall and Ziggy are very hot. Some of the Ballsy Boys continue to be mentioned as well as the characters from Daddy and I liked the introduction of the new characters in the Kinky Boys studio and am looking forward to seeing who they will end up with in future books. This series continues to have a huge WOW factor and I highly recommend it.

The 2nd Kinky Boys book was everything I’ve come to expect from KM Neuhold and Nora Phoenix. Marshall and Byron are an amazing pair and this story follows their journey of learning how to find your place in a world of kink that you know nothing about. Love often comes when you’re least expecting it and when you’re not sure you’re even ready for it. They learn what makes them happy in real life even when the journey was filmed for an audience and then they have to decide if they are brave enough to risk their hearts on each other.

Ziggy is another fun addition to the Kinky Boys series. Marshall and Byron are great together and their relationship is very sweet. They have insane chemistry and their scenes are high heat. I loved everything about the main characters. My one request - I wanted more puppy play! The kink is definitely light, but it's still a nice element to the story, especially since Marshall is a caretaker and Byron loves to be taken care of.

However, my problem is the rest of the story and universe. Ballsy Boy did a killer job with building a community of friends within the Ballsy Boy studio. However, I am just not getting that same vibe in this story. And I think that's ok, but the story pushes for the Kinky boys to have a similar relationship, and nothing is building that foundation. Going to a strip club or two and sharing a cab does not a friendship make. I would have loved to see something like a group chat where the guys are actually getting to know each other and lean on each other, or providing support to the guys who are new to Vegas.

With all that said, I did enjoy the book. It is a good story as written and the part that really matters, the relationship, is fantastic. I don't like it as much as the Ballsy Boys series. I do recommend this series (the first book is awesome!) and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Puppy play is my FAVORITE kink...just so you know..and this did it really well. Ziggy discovering the freedom of puppy play and Marshall being patient and caring through every step of his kink discovery was just wonderful.

I think the biggest thing keeping me from giving it a higher rating is the age play scene that includes diaper play. This one involves the MC filming introduction to kink segments so there is bondage play, edging and age play.

Byron/Ziggy is brand new to kink and boy does he ever get a crash course.
Marshall is a Dom and has sparks flying with Ziggy from day 1.
Their relationship development felt so real.
And this is the perfect book to read at this time.
✔️Low Angst
✔️High Heat
✔️Sweetness
✔️SO sexy
✔️Age Gap
Loved the porn dynamic and the way scenes were handled. I really want book 3 now.

Sweet and soft.

This is a good introduction to puppy play, if you haven't read Stay, by K.M. Neuhold.
Ziggy has a little trouble fitting in at Kinky Boys, but Marshall is there to help. Two guys that don't feel like they fit D/s stereotypes, but who fit perfectly together.

4.5/5 Would read again.

This was a great 2nd installment of the K Boys series! Marshall and Byron were really sweet together with a lot of really well written hot and steamy times! Byron was clearly in over his head and Marshall stepped in to help him find his way and somewhere along the way they fell in love. We got to get to know a lot more of the K Boys and they were fabulous, especially Glam...I cannot wait for his story!

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book. Byron aka Ziggy was introduced in Rebel (Ballsy Boys) Book 1 when Rebel and Troy were his dates to his b*tchy cousin’s bachelorette party after they overheard him talking on the phone to his date who stood him up. Byron’s ex- boyfriend completely f*cked him over as he took the film that Byron agreed to be film for their own viewing but he posted in on P*rnHub and one of the parents at the school he teaches found out and it was a complete double standard as no one cared that the parent was watching gay p*rn but Byron got fired even though he explained that he didn’t agree to it being posted on the internet. He’s completely down on his luck as he has no savings so he’s decided to do p*rn as if a video is already out there he may as well do it on his own terms and get paid while doing it, plus he’s in desperate need of money and he love s*x.

Byron contacts Bear who suggests that he should head to Vegas as his friend Hunter aka D*ddy is setting up a p*rn studio which caters to the k*nk community. He gets the job but even though he was questioned multiple times if he doesn’t understand anything when Marshall goes over the BD*M contract so they know his soft and hard limits, he signs the contract and is matched with Hadley a D*m. After watching Hadley and Ziggy’s scenes together Marshall, whose also a D*m but focuses more on the care side notices how blasé Ziggy is about the upcoming scenes with Hadley and that Ziggy may not even be s*bmissive so he takes Ziggy under his wing to see if they can work out what he likes so he takes him to a local k*nk club. Ziggy loved seeing the puppies play and the moment he realised that it was for him, and that he actually is s*bmissive but him and Hadley don’t click, he’s needs a caring Master and Marshall is the right man for the job.

I liked how they were open about what they both want out of their relationship but I really didn’t like that Marshall never mentioned to Ziggy that his move to Vegas was only temporary to help his friend Hunter out and that he was a bit of a d*ck when Ziggy decided to stay in Vegas instead of moving with Marshall like he asked him. At least he could admit that he was an a*se and they need to find a way that works for both of them. I thought the whole drama was resolved very quickly. I’m hoping that this series continues as we totally need more especially to see if Bennett and Max aka Thunder end up together, as the way they talk about each other it shows that they care about the other a lot. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and both authors to everyone.

This book took a while for me to get into and fall for the main characters, compared to the first book where I loved Joey and Daddy I didn't connect with Ziggy or Marshall as much. Although it does get better and I did enjoy their relationship by the end of the story, I just wasn't feeling it at the start.

I've not read much puppy play so I found that a lot of fun and really interesting to look into, I thought it was perfect fitting to Ziggy and I adored him getting to find that space as a sub that worked for him. Marshall is pretty sweet from the start and so caring straight away, I liked that he pushed Ziggy and explored kink to try to help him figure out what he liked. Since Ziggy/Byron is new to everything and at the start didn't really have a clue what he signed up for.

The side cast were amazing! I wish they had more time to shine in some ways such as Glam, Thunder, Baby and even Benton/Angel who comes along later as he was great fun. Gregory is adorable. Oh and I have to mention Harley since his pretty much a MC himself for the first half and I really enjoyed his scenes. Of course Daddy and Joey are here too, still lovely as always.

There are a variety of kinks explored here so it certainly lives up to the series name and their group. I adored every scene so much as really explored Ziggys headspace and what he enjoys, how he started to seek out Marshall and all of the sweet aftercare moments between them.

I must admit that I adored their scenes together outside of work so much more though, because it was more fitting to them and lovely to see them starting a relationship. The visits to the club, the shop and all of the puppy play scenes are perfect and I enjoyed every single one.

Some light angst towards the end but I'd been expecting it and I kind of loved that it didn't go perfectly straight away. I really appreciated that Ziggy wasn't keen to just jump straight into moving, that he still needed to figure things out but I also liked that Marshall didn't pretend he wanted to stay either since he never planned too. I liked that they discussed it and tried to work it out together, as they both are figuring thing out while working towards their relationship.

Overall I enjoyed this book a lot and the ending was perfect for them! However I definitely feel that I liked the 1st book in the series more so I'm leaving this on 3 from a 3.5 stars actual rating.

Hope to see more books in this series with the rest of the characters as I adored them all, so be interested to see more of their stories.

(2,5 stars) After I discovered Ballsy Boys and Kinky Boys series, Ziggy was the story that I decided to read first because I haven't yet encountered puppy play in fiction and was curious about it. But halfway through the story after puppy play was finally introduced, Ziggy and Marshall's story pretty much lost my interest because I did not find neither of the main characters too appealing.

Ziggy was one of the new boys working for the Kinky Boys porn studio. After his ex boyfriend posted their home made sex video online which caused Ziggy to lose his job as a school teacher, Ziggy decided to move to Las Vegas and star in gay porn in order not to end up completely broke but also as a way to get the control of his life back. The only problem with Ziggy's plan being that the type of porn studio he signed up with was the one focusing on kink which Ziggy had absolutely no experience in and very little inclination towards to. Ziggy was not the most logical character and I was pretty bothered by that fact.

Marshall was hired by Daddy, the owner of Kinky Boys, as somewhat of a kink consultant whose job description was making sure everybody was comfortable with the scenes they were shooting. Or something along those lines. Because the only person Marshall seemed focused on was Ziggy, who he was also attracted to and was pretty unsuccessful at hiding his attraction to. While professionalism and forbidding work place relationships was pretty much a pipe dream from the very beginning, I was still not terribly impressed with Marshall's behavior. Maybe it could have been helped if the authors also showed him interacting at work with any of the other boys besides Ziggy.

As for the puppy play, as a complete newbie to kink, I saw a lot of similarities with daddy/boy kink at the core of it. There were differences of course the main one being that the puppies seemed more carefree during their play. One thing I did find believable was seeing how somebody with Ziggy's past might have been drawn to that aspect of kink in particular.

All in all apart from the initial curiosity I can't say I felt particularly invested in the characters or their story.

Kinky Boys: Ziggy

Marshall has been invited to be the temporary kink consultant for the new Kinky Boys studio, until all the new stars settle into their roles. He's been a Dom in the kink community of New York for over a decade, and a trusted friend of Hunter (Daddy from book one of the series) for just as long. What better use of his skills but to help train new subs?

Ziggy is new to the industry, as well as the kink lifestyle. He was hired to be one of the new stars of Kinky Boys, but honestly? He doesn't know too much about kink, but that shouldn't matter. He figures he'll be able to work things out as he goes along.

After Marshall interviews Ziggy to determine which kinks Ziggy is comfortable participating in, Marshall starts to get very nervous that Ziggy doesn't fully comprehend what he's signed up for. Maybe that won't be an issue, because Ziggy is to be the face of an "intro to kink" series, but something is telling Marshall that he needs to keep a close eye on Ziggy to make sure he's not going to freak out in his scenes.

Marshall's concerns appear to be validated when Ziggy struggles to relax with the kinks the studio Dom presents him with - until Ziggy and Marshall come across puppy play at the local kink club on a studio field trip.

Finally there's a kink that Ziggy is more than comfortable participating in, but what does that mean for his role at Kinky Boys? He desperately needs the money that Kinky Boys pays him. What if he can't fulfill his contract?

And just why is Marshall the only Dom who can settle Ziggy's nerves?

---

I have to be honest here - puppy play is a kink I haven't read about before. It's never been something that I've been particularly intrigued by, so I've focused my reading attention elsewhere.

That may have been a mistake.

The pure joy Ziggy experienced when he shifted into his puppy head space left me grinning from ear to ear, much like I imagine Marshall was doing when he was being Ziggy's Master.

This is a perfect introduction to puppy play in the written form, and it definitely won't be the last book I read on the topic.

I'm not sure which To Do/To Read list I'm following, but I'm not very good at it. ;) Here's the Kinky Boys series by K.M. Neuhold and Nora Phoenix. It was first introduced in their Ballsy Boys series. This secondary series continues (yes, I'm reading them out of order--fight me) with with "Ziggy."
["As far as I can tell I don’t have a submissive bone in my body.

This isn’t a long-term career plan, Marshall is only temporary in Vegas, and I may have made the biggest mistake of my life… Or have I?"]

I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time reading during the work week. ANYway...

This book was soooo cute! It definitely explored the safe side of kink and the trust that goes into kink. It was definitely angsty. Lots of angst. But there was also definitely a TON of fluff and steam!

And it was a fun introduction to the short story "Bunny" (that I already read...).
