A female Blood Kindred who hates her fangs…
A fierce warrior who loves her…
Can Kara and Raak stay together?
Or will their love be shattered because he is…Unbondable?

Kara is a rare Blood Kindred female…unfortunately for her, she has the fangs to prove it. To Kara’s dismay, it’s hard to find a warrior who wants to get bitten when things get hot and heavy. She’s tried dating humans too, but that doesn’t work out either. So when she meets Raakshas, a Kindred warrior with dark, silver-ringed eyes who actually likes her fangs, it seems like her troubles are over.

But there’s a problem…Raak is half Y’lyn–a kind of demon without a soul. And without a soul, there’s no hope of forming the permanent soul-bond that all Kindred have with their mates. Without the possibility of forming a bond, how can Kara give her heart to the big Warrior? And what will happen when she goes on an adventure to try a shrink her fangs and winds up naked in the Unseen Palace?

OMG, how did I have no idea that Evangeline Anderson had started a spinoff series based on the children of the couples from the Kindred?!! I'm so glad I discovered that this existed, and I really hope her muse allows her to write more books in this series!! (I'd prefer more of these than the Kindred Tales, tbh.)

Despite not really having a soul, Raak was a pretty dreamy hero. I loved how caring and capable he was. The planet with the people of the two heads was hilarious and had me laughing out loud. I also like the whole I'll die for you because I love you notion because it's romantic. I'm also so glad we returned to Tranq Prime with this book! (though it would have been nice to have spent more time there). Not gonna lie, I want to read another Yonnie Six book; they're absolutely delicious.

The author apologized for the brevity of the novel in comparison to her other Kindred books, but I thought it was the perfect length for the story (193 pages). However, I would have liked more time on the people of the two heads planet. Things I wish were different are more backstory on Raak & getting rid of the endearment "baby girl". It's a little cringey; I know this guy who says it to me sometimes. Moreover, I would have liked to have known how old Kara and Raak were. Sophie seemed young to have a grown-up kid, which made me wonder how old she was when she had Kara and Kaleb & when the events of Book 2 took place.

I hope Kara's twin Kaleb gets a book. I wonder what kind of woman, alien or human, he'll end up with.

Lastly, I liked the moral of the story, which is to be happy with yourself and your body, even if it's different from other people.

I’ve read pretty much every one of her books so reading about Sophia and Sylvan in their 40s and their children having their own experiences is awesome! I feel like I’m apart of their family or something. I hated that it was so short. Some things were weird to me, like him calling her “baby girl”. Didn’t like it. Wish it were more biting scenes because that was pretty hot. Overall, I liked it and can’t wait for the next one.

Loved It!!

I was a bit unsure I’d be able to read this, after knowing Kara since she was born. Those kinds of long series connections always make books like this iffy for me. I don’t know why I didn’t just trust my soul when it comes to Evangeline Anderson. She has never disappointed. Not even now.

This was a great story. I loved every second of it. Action, adventure, intrigue, new places, new species, and hot steamy sexy time, all wrapped in a happy ending. It’s a great addition to the Kindred world!

Side note, the extra love connection filled my heart with such happiness!! (No spoilers)

Evangeline immerses you in the Kindred culture from the moment you begin reading. I especially love the fact that she has propelled us into the future and we get to see how life continues for our most beloved original characters and their children. Truly amazing work. As always there is a bit of danger, risk and a sizzling love story. I actually wish there were a Kindred race out there somewhere in the universe!!!

THIS WAS TOO CUTE AND SEXY! LOVED IT.

I DIDN'T FOLLOW THE KINDRED BRIDES SERIES, BUT THIS ONE CAN READ BE ALONE AND YOU WON'T FEEL LIKE YOU'RE LOST OR ANYTHING.

RAAK is an unbondable male - one without a soul so he can't bond with a female. This trait also makes him an outcast, and what people don't understand, they shun and fear. He first meets Kara when she stared him down and is immensely intrigued. One thing I loved about Raak was how he accepted Kara for who she is right from the start. Despite being soulless, he's definitely not heartless and it shows from the way he takes care of Kara and never takes advantage of her body. Raak's a unique character, he's not a playboy, not an alpha male type...more of the easy going but also faithful and devout. After rescuing Kara from her Prime relatives who want to do her harm, he takes Kara along his trades for a short adventure, also both of them falling in love at the same time.

KARA is unique because she's the only Kindred female with fangs and those living in the Mother Ship shun her for it. Nobody wants to date her, and those who did can't stand her fangs. It's the bane of her existence, impeding her from having a normal life. When Kara first meets Raak, she's attracted to him at first sight, and they soon become kindred spirits when he takes her climbing some kiddie amusement park mountain, causing tongues to wag. I don't like insta-love stories, but this one was different. It wasn't insta-love but there was a connection between the two that made me hunger for more. When Kara snuck off planet to do something about her fangs, she didn't expect her relatives to turn hostile and then get rescued by Raak who happened to be on the same planet. Kara has her own lesson to learn - and that is to love herself for who she is.

OVERALL this was a great story, filled with two loving characters, fun and also moral value of loving oneself and accepting yourself for who you are. I can't wait for the rest of the books in this series.

Unfortunately, the author had little time for this book due to the pandemic. That's why many interesting plotlines fell short :( I'm sad because there was great potential here. I'm looking forward to the next book in this spin off series.

Me: The Kindred series is really stupid and the last books I read (Vol. 22 in the main series and book 18(?) in the spinoff series) really sucked. I will time this shit out.

Evangelne Anderson: and here I propose yet another spin-off series with the children of the annoying main couple Sylvan and Sophie. Her parents hog page time in every book and I think they shall do so in this spin off as well hehe ...

Me: 1-click-buy.

If you're new to this series, it's not always bad. In fact, some of the book are solid 5-star entertainment. I strongly recommend starting with either book 1 of the Brides of the Kindred series (the first 7 books should definitely be read in order. Some of the books 8-22 really suck hard, others are super fun. The Kindred Tales books are mostly stand alone spin offs. You could start with those. But some of them aren't great (then again, some ARE great). You really have to pick and choose your way through).

This is the story of Kara and Raak. Kara has fangs which makes her think she is unlovable and Raak proves her otherwise. This one hit a bit different since we are looking at the kids of the original characters. It was also so freaking sweet and just so beautifully written. I loved it!

In Unbondable, our heroine and hero are seen by the Kindred world as flawed. Kara, the daughter of Sophia and Sylvan, has fangs like the male Blood Kindred, and she hates them. Others in the novel call her defective, unnatural, and aberrant. Neither Kindred warrior nor human male wants to be with her. Raskshas or Rask, a Kindred warrior, is half Y’lyn, a kind of demon without a soul. Without a soul, the Y’lyn have no morals plus they cannot form the soul bond necessary for a mate. He is feared, reviled and mistrusted because the color of his eyes announces what he is. But he is very interested in Kara and loves her fangs.
Hearing that a way to change her fangs is available on Sylvan’s home world Tranq Prime, Kara steals a ship and flies it through the rift by hiding in a fleet of merchants bound for Tranq Prime. Among the merchants is Rask, who is not aware she is there. From there we are propelled forward as Kara goes with him on his visits to other worlds.
Knowing what Rask is, I was afraid for Kara from the moment she made the choice to leave the Mother Ship. Can Kara trust Rask or will he be the amoral Kindred others think he is? Can he love her and protect her without a soul? What will she end up doing about her fangs? Will her visits to alien worlds overwhelm her, or will she return to the Mother Ship safely?
This new series of Kindred books are about the adult children of the Kindred and their Brides. Although it was fun to visit characters from the first novels of Brides of the Kindred, these new faces explore their own adventures. We have met one of these before in Vanished, Brides of the Kindred 21, when the adult Shadow has his own journey.
This one has all the marks of an Evangeline Anderson novel, steamy hot with Kara’s and Rask’s struggles happening one right after another. I really enjoyed reading Unbondable and the new world of the sons and daughters of the first generation. Definitely an A+ on this one!

I received an ARC for my honest review.

Unbondable: Book 1 of the Kindred Birthright Series (Brides of the Kindred) - Evangeline Anderson

This is the first book from Evangeline Anderson’s Brides of the Kindred, that stars a spin-off involving the children of all the Kindred, that have now grown up. They are finding their way in this world where many are half kindred/ half human, or other humanoid species. The possibilities are endless.
Kara is the daughter of Sylvan and Sophia. Sylvan is the head of the Kindred mothership and also a talented physician. Kara inherited small fangs from her lord Kindred father, which is unheard of for a female. She is mortified and only wants to be rid of the fangs.
When a conference of different species comes to the Mothership Kara meets a Kindred named Raakshas, a trader, “Rak”,is considered unbondable. They believe the Y’lin Kindred have no souls since they are half demons. Without a soul the Kindred can not bond to each other.
As attracted as they are to each other Kara knows Rak is off limits and besides right now she needs to focus on ridding herself of the fangs.
They end up together each both trying to help each other on their “ missions”. With some help of the wonderful Goddess and some hard learned lessons Kara must learn to accept herself and Rak has to find his soul.
Once again the author has created new worlds to explore and expands on some we already visited in previous books.
It is wonderful and refreshing to be able to have the series continues with the next generation. The book has all the amazing elements of the Kindred series, adventure, action, excitement, thrills, surprises, some of Evangelie’s special🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥scenes, romance and always thought provoking lessons as well as redemption. This was a great full sized novel that will thrill all lovers of the Kindred series and also those first experiencing Ms. Anderson’s talented imagination.

Unbondable tells the story of Kara, the daughter of Sylvan and Sophia from Hunted. Kara is the only female Blood Kindred who has fangs. Kara has had a hard time finding a mate because society perceives her fangs as a flaw. Raak is a smuggler who's half demon and half Kindred. Raak doesn't have a soul because of his demon lineage, which means he's considered to be Unbondable.

I really enjoyed this steamy and fast paced SciFi romance. Kara and Raak had great chemistry together. Raak was such a great romantic hero. He was loving, protective, and supportive. Kara needed someone like him in her life. Their scenes together were 🔥 This book also had some bananas moments that I will forever remember 😂 Evangeline Anderson's mind is just something else. She always takes me by surprise! 😂

What was missing:

Raak was a great romantic hero, but character-wise, he was not as fleshed out as Kara. I feel like I barely got to know him. I don't know much about his backstory and his motivations. He didn't have much going for him outside of his total adoration for Kara. I definitely could have used more chapters from his POV. I also think that Unbondable should have been a bit longer; it was definitely short for a Kindred novel.

P.S. I'm starting a petition to ban "baby girl" as a term of endearment 🤢

This is a wonderful addition to this wonderful new Birthright Series…
This is a wonderful start to this new Birthright series and this was very action filled read with the heroine Kara who is the daughter of Sophia and Sylvan who is equipped with fangs like a Blood Kindred and this fact had raised more than a few eyebrows where she has been considered as an abomination of sorts.
She has been in a situation where she considered herself not fitting into either world, either human or Kindred and this is something that she has become used to until Rask who is half Y’lvn and Kindred Warrior.
He had been afraid that Kara may have been tempted to leave the mother ship and had gone in search of a treatment that would allow her to be rid of her fangs believing that this would allow her fit into society. However, Rask was determined to keep her safe and that he was going to show her that she didn’t have to change who she was for him she was perfect.
This was a wonderful addition to the Kindred showing how the children of the Kindred have grown-up and are now starting on lives and relationships of their own.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Another amazing instalment from the talented Evangeline Anderson. In this story we are thrown into the second generation and start to see how the children of our first beloved heroes and heroines are handling life. We get a quick glimpse of Shad, which I personally adored and quick introductions into some of the other children, but the main focus was on Sylvan and Sophia's children Kara and Kaleb. Kara as most readers would remember is a rare individual as she is not only a female kindred, but a blood one too. She has fangs and she hates them as everyone around her makes her feel like she isn't good enough and she is willing to go to drastic measures to rectify the issue. Enter our hero Raakshas, or known as Raak for short. He is the unbondable race where his father is Kindred and is mother demon. Most his like Raak is used to living his life for himself, always being number one. Afterall, why think of anyone else when everyone says you have no soul. The chemistry in this book is amazing and I loved reading their adventures.

Unbondable delves into the adult lives of the children of our favorite couples of Kindred males and their females. If you haven't read the novels for the parents, then there may be spoilers for that story. It isn't mandatory to read all previous novels to enjoy this one, but I highly recommend reading them all in order, you won't be sorry you did.

Unbondable focuses on a new Kindred warrior, Raak, who can't bond because he's half soulless demon. Raak is enticing, devilish, and a total temptation for Kara, daughter to Commander Silvan and Sophia. Kara is searching for a solution to her "defect" in hopes she can finally get a male who will want to bond with her.

Together Kara and Raak embark on an unexpected journey across the galaxy and more. I can't tell you more so I don't spoil anything, but I promise you'll love this adventure.

I was so excited to see this story come out. I've been waiting to see what happens with the children of the Kindred we've come to know and love. With this story we get to meet Kara who is one of Sylvan and Sophia's twins. She is a Blood Kindred female with fangs which has made her life difficult. She only wishes for them to be gone. One day she happens to run into an Unbondable Kindred, Raak, while in a transport and she can't get him out of her mind. He allows her to be herself and loves her fangs. He agrees to help her on her quest to remove them, but things may not be as great as she hopes once she gets her wish. Along the way these two have to overcome a few obstacles and just might find they are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is hot and sexy and you won't want to put the book down. I absolutely love Evangeline Anderson and all her Kindred books! This one was a weird one for me. I loved the beginning and how playful and ornery Raak was and I was hooked! ...and then the middle happened and there was just too much. I get it as far as moving the plot along, but..it was just too much going here and there. I definitely got the whole "lust" thing, but not so much the "love" part. Now at the end when he does the thing (no spoilers, but obviously you know there's a climax to the book) I thought that was really cool and sweet... but then went back to the awkward meeting in the epilogue. So, overall, definitely not one of the best books I've read by Anderson, but he was definitely one of my favorite men that she's written. I feel like I should be drawing hearts with Raak all over my books.

I feel like I been waiting for this book my whole life. I especially love the fact that we have propelled into the future of the second generation childrens. I have always wanted to know how the lives of the original couples and their childrens were doing. We however did get a quick glimpse of Shad Kat son which was amazing. So the fact we're getting introduced to the other kids is fantastic. This was definitely worth the wait!!! I will say that Kara and Raaks story was shorter compared to the other kindred books. Still I found their story to be very enjoyable and entertaining read. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series. **SPOILERS** Wow what a way to begin the series. I have been waiting for the start of this series, and I am so glad that Evangeline gave us Kara first rather than one of the boys storys.
I loved how Raak loved Kara for who she was and didn't want her to change, it was very apt for the world we currently live in where so many women feel that they need to change to appeal to be more attractive to the opposite sex/same sex, be it thinner, larger breasts, a smaller nose, having their ears pinned, hair extensions - the list goes on. The book was so relevant and actually, when Kara did go through with her plan to change herself she found that she was more unhappy afterwards as the procedure was not successful, so people really need to make sure they think their plans through!
This book was wonderful, very inspiring and definitely top of the kindred reading pile for me.

Thrilled to discover what paths each of the children from the original BOTK series are travelling on now that they are full grown!
Kara is becoming more uncomfortable with being the only known female Blood Kindred and having fangs.
Raak, who is part demon is drawn to her and finds her differences beautiful but his kind have no soul, therefore not able to bond.
In desperation, Kara borrows a ship and travels to find a way to "fix" what makes her unique which leads her on a journey of discovery, enlightenment and danger.
Can these two help one another learn to love without paying the ultimate price?
Excellent emotional heart stopping ride!

This was a nice beginning to the Kindred Next Generation books. Our couple was cute and I'm glad Kara overcame her insecurities about her fangs. I think its interesting that the Twins are attracted to *spoiler* when it would probably be more interesting if we found out she wasn't their mate. Idk if would want her to find her true mate first or for them since the guys would be crushed or she might be. Didn't get a real sense for her feelings towards them. Kaleb is gonna be an interesting read.
For our actual characters I'm wondering if future Unbondables will be mated to other Blood Kindred females because their fangs and feelings allow a bond to grow and for it to be cemented when right. Hmm just my thoughts.

Kara and Raak’s story was shorter compared to most of the Kindred books and was much better for it. The unnecessary details and long chatty conversations were trimmed down and the book was a much smoother read. This new series will tell stories of the children of the first Kindred and this one revolves around Kara, Sophia and her blood kindred husband Slyvan’s daughter and the soulless and thus unbondable trader Raakshas. It was romantic with drama and suspense as well as a cast of strange and wonderful aliens. I absolutely loved this story.

Look to the future
I have been waiting for the author to take us on this journey and she did not disappoint. I love that we finally get to see what happens with the children of the original mates. Raak might not be considered a prize in his world, but he is the perfect guy for Kara. He doesn’t expect her to change and no matter what will keep her safe. The author might have made this story a bit shorter, but she didn’t forget to add the heat, the danger and the excitement that is such a hallmark in her writing. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the children, now adults, I just now that it will be amazing.

Kara and Raak are just made for each other both have issues of there own and when they meet each other and the sparks are off the chart. Their chemistry is smoking hot. But can a half demon and a female blood kindred with fangs find love everlasting. No spoilers here check out this book and see how there journey ends . Evangeline Anderson is so talented in creating different cultures and custom that her character are in it's a treat to read.

I absolutely loved this book. If you loved Hunted, the second Brides of the Kindred book with Sophia and Sylvan's story then you'll love this book. It's awesome to see their twins grown and we get to follow 1 if their journeys. This book is about their daughter Kara and an Unbondable Kindred nicknamed Raak. I loved the flow of this book and the struggles Kara had to go through. I highly recommend you give this book a read. It's addictive and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to hear from the other characters children who are grown and we can see how everyone's life has turned out so far.

Unbondable

This is a story of self hate, disgust and what happens how true love can change a person's feelings about themselves. Kara is a female Kindred with fangs and is the daughter of Sylvan and Sophia. When she secretly seeks a remedy to make her fangs smaller, because no one wants a female with fangs, things go from bad to worse at the hands of her aunt and uncle on Tranq Prime. She is rescued by Raak who is an unbondable Kindred without a soul. Their adventure together is a story of trust and determination. Loved this book.

Oh my God! We're starting the kids stories now! I feel like I know all these characters and now it's time for the kids to grow up and make their own way. Kara is Sylvan and Sophie's daughter, she is on her own journey due to a genetic flaw. But don't worry, she gets a smokin hot bodyguard to tag along. Too bad this guy may be u bond able due to his heritage! I was so excited for this book and it didn't disappoint. I can't wait for more!

Love the next generation story

I have loved the fact that throughout the series we had kept up with the previous Brides and now to have the next generation of tales is great! Kara meets Raak on the transport on he mothership and is instantly attracted to him even though he is one of the Unbondable. Then, she decides she needs to do something about her fangs and this leads to her going to Tranq Prime where she encounters him again! Still, she wanted an adventure and got the ride of a lifetime!
A great book despite Ms Anderson worrying it is not the usual length!

Wow, what a great start to a new series. I've read all the Kindred so it's nice to see the new generation. Being half human these young adults are going to exhibit interesting abilities with their mixed DNA. Kara has fangs, girls are supposed to have fangs. Could they be a hindrance or an attraction to the right man.
Some planet hopping brings the right amount of tension to the story, and of course a love story. Great book, can't wait for the next one.

This being the first official book of the children, I loved it. Kara and Raak have an adventure that turns wrong. With everything going on with her trying to shrink her fangs, she doesn’t wait to find out what the meaning behind the message of warning is before jumping to do what she’s told. Of course, that’s what brings her a HEA though.
