I've really enjoyed following Kaitlyn and Magnus and would have liked more of them than Hayley and Fraeoch in this book. Every time I saw Hayley as the heading I sighed in disapointment. The relationship between Hayley and Fraeoch, to me, was just a filler and really not necessary. I'm glad Hayley kept trying to get Kath (her BFF) back though I didn't think Hayley's story was that interesting. I suppose I'm just addicted to Magnus and Kaitlyn. I gave this 4 stars because of loyalty to my absolute favorite couple and their amazing relationship. Otherwise, I would have given it only 3 stars.
Thank you for keeping me joyfully entertained as we deal with the restrictions imposed upon us by this infernal virus. Blessings to you and yours!

All the feels!

Possible Spoiler Alert!

Heart-rending pulse pounding agony when we ache for our dear Katie and whats she is going through. Laugh out loud moments with rhyming and silliness that made me have to stop and catch my breath. I am so glad there will be more and am happy at some of the outcomes of certain characters while I was extremely surprised at a certain character backstory. The historical easter eggs and accuracy makes it such an amazing series/book.
A terrific and very emotional read, but a must read all the same for any fans of time travel, historical, comedic, and/or contemporary romance. I so love this series and we be counting down the days to book 12 release to see just what happens next.

**Spoilers**

This much be one of my favourite books in the series (as well as book 5). I read 70 % of the book in one day, and it was hard to put down.

This book made me anxious, happy, sad and excited. I actually felt a tear coming at the end of the book when Archie called her Mammy again. It was quite heart-breaking that they were away from their kids and friends for a year, but oh well, the story was great. It also had a nice little twist at the beginning of the book that actually really surprised me.

I’m glad Bella, Roderick and Phillip have finally joined hell. And I’ve seen some people confused about the book being called «Son and Throne» when the book doesn’t take place in the future-future. But then I realised; Katie and Mags got stuck in the past-past-past because Roderick and Bella was after the son and the throne, which is what led to the whole story (Lady McBitch played a part too). So yeah, I think that’s why.

I can’t believe I have to wait a month until the next book.

I gotta say I was disappointed. I've liked the series so far. But this book I felt spent too much time in the wrong places. The main antagonists they have been building up a showdown to were dealt with very early in the book and then the Magnus and Kaitlyn spend the rest of the book stranded in the past. The whole rest of the book is all the characters waiting and mourning being apart. Dont get me wrong, my heart broke for Kaitlyn being away from her baby, but a good chunk of the book is spent on characters saying "any day now". I rushed through the book thinking that there would be some excitement later on, besides their rescue, because surely that couldn't be all their was to this book. And nope...

Another heart pounding adventure

Diane has done it again with her newest instalment of Kaitlyn and Magnus' love story that stretches across the centuries. After everyone I've read I find it hard to believe the next one could be better, yet I'm pleasantly surprised each time. The characters have become friends and I wait impatiently for the next book to arrive! This entire series is a must read.

Just use your imagination.

I have been following this series since the first book, I am never disappointed. If you like history Diana is as accurate with a little poetic license on the side, as you can be without boring readers. Her characters are real and warm with their own idiosyncrasies. Time travel is a great idea but personally I,do rather go forward, just think no plumbing or clean food. Be prepared to be addicted after the first book. Enjoy.

Pam

Oh my this book was soo good. Sounds terrible but I’m glad Bella is gone. Terrible that Kaitlyn had to go through so much pain when she landed in the 1600s , wonderful when Magnus found her. Liked the adventure they had but I kept wondering “did they take a bath” which I know they did. So sad when they came home and Archie took his anger out on his Dad and Magnus let him then gave him a big hug. Great ending as always

LOVE this series!!!

This is another awesome addition to the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series! Lots of emotional ups and downs, adventure, danger, and hunky highlanders. I highly recommend the entire series but I suggest you start from book one because these are not stand alone books.

Great story. Fully engaging

I enjoyed this chapter of the story. As always I read straight thru as I'm engaged In the characters. Was pulling for Frouche to travel with Haley. His relationship to Magnus was a bonus. Looking forward to the next installment. Of course I will read again.

Once again Magnus and Kaitlyn are thrown into unforseen circumstances in time and must rely on their friends to find a way home. This book takes place in the present and the past without much time in the future. Of course you know this isn't the end of things and so must wait for the next book to find out how things turn out.

Absolutely great!!

I’ve said it before but I must say it again, this series is a must read! If you love sci-fi, romance, mystery and more than you will love these books. The author is genius, the characters become an extended family and if you are like me you can’t get enough. I really love this and can’t wait for more, even when I have too...

Interesting reading

I've read all 11 books. I really like Magnus and Kaytlyn and the whole family style gang. This book, book 11, son and throne, was disappointing. I had expected more. It is interesting from a historical viewpoint, just not what I had expected, but that is just my opinion.

Together at last but apart

What can say except heart wrenching, funny, dramatic, scary, wonderful, all the feels and then some. Was truly gut wrenching but still had me from page one. Oh and Archie, what a brave and loving little man. Diana Knightly delivers yet again with Kaitlyn and Magnus and the gang. Sad it ended but joyful their will be another book. Don’t hesitate to read this series as it gives you just about anything and everything you could want from a Scottish time travel romance. Can’t wait to get my physical copies of the series. If I could give 10 stars or more I would.

Son and throne

This is the last book at the moment, heart breaking in some parts. No spoilers you'll have to read it.
Just know it's a fantastic book and worth every laugh and every tear, when an author can make you feel such a part of the story and you feel like the characters the that's one hell of an author

Awesome read. Diana's characters are family and this book makes them more so. The first half of the book required many, many kleenix, then it settled and THEN I had to drag them forth again. This book this a very braugh read.

Broke my heart

I love this serie. It normally just cracks me up. But this one....broke my heart! Well the end did. And while it's the longest so far it seemed the shortes. I wasn't ready for it to end. Loved it.

Better than outlander

This series might not be as historically inclined as outlander but is it a fantastic story to lose yourself in. No fillers just adventure. Some things were resolved with this installment, yet more comes out. Can't wait until the next.

I was very disappointed in this book! It is called Son and Throne but most of it was about Haley and her husband! It ended strangely and I didn't like it! I am done with this author and her series! Sorry but there it is!
