Schwarz-Weiß-Grafic Novel einerseits über eine deutsch-türkische Künstlerin in Berlin, andererseits eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem türkischen Verfassungsreferendum aus deutsch-türkischer Perspektive, beide Teile haben interessante Ansätze und Perspektiven, bleiben aber eher oberflächlich. Die Zeichnungen sind größtenteils sehr einfach, es entstehen trotzdem häufig schöne Bilder. – 3/5

Really enjoyed this graphic novel about an artist in Berlin who has Turkish parents and is always asked about the political dimensions of her art. Nice layering of commentary about how artists of color are defined by their identity by others. I really enjoyed the visuals and the story and already thinking about how I could teach the book in class.
