I don't have much to say about this volume that I didn't already cover in Volume 1's review, but I still feel the need to write something short about this one.
Volume 2 of Invaders of the Rokujouma was a lot better than the first. Now that we're into the second novel, characters are developed and friendships and rivalries alike are made. Oh, and there's a relay race of epic proportions-- it's the main event, too, so I hope you like races.
While there's not much of a plot yet, Rokujouma does well in making the characters likable. If you don't like the heroines in a harem light novel, then you're not going to like the series. Fortunately, Rokujouma has a likable and even funny main cast.
I'm giving this volume only 3 stars like the first one in the series because the series is just not unique nor groundbreaking. But it's enjoyable, and that's all it has to be.
My thoughts after reading Invaders of the Rokujouma!? volume 2.
Story: The invaders get bored of trying to solve the dispute over room 106 with playing card games, so they decide to solve it by whoever wins the marathon at the cultural fair of school.
Enjoyment: It was a blast to read through it, the comedy was on point, the characters had a lot of moments to shine and towards the end, there are very heartwarming moments.
The verdict: This volume felt very slow-paced in comparison to the last one. And the way the author managed to write a race that took almost 3/4 of the book really amazed me, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series. 7.5/10
The second volume of the Invaders of the Rokujyoma series, like the first volume, offers a short and very light read. That's what I liked about it. The downside of this is is that nothing much of consequence happens, the book is basically about the silly competitions Kotaro and his supernatural roommates engage in.
There are too many volumes in this series and I already bought Seirei Gensouki this month so I have to put this aside for now even though it seems interesting.
