How often do you take time to reflect? When do you feel safe enough to be vulnerable? Can you be completely honest with yourself about what you think and feel?
Sandra Christian takes us on a fascinating journey in this book. A woman of mixed ethnical origin, she was ‘classified’ at birth as Colored/Indian under the Apartheid regime in South Africa where she tried to find peace, despite being different. She later moves to Europe as a young mother where, under great psychological pressure, she establishes herself and succeeds in creating a life for herself and her son. Only, it comes at a cost!
In this book, she reflects on various aspects of her life that made her the woman she is today. She encourages you, the reader, through poignant questions, to stand still and seriously connect with your inner-self, helping you to understand why you do the things you do , and showing you how to create the amazing life you desire . You will reflect on topics like home, family, aging, beauty, work, marriage, purpose, love, and many more.

This book is an easy read, also made for those who can't focus on long-winded texts. It is not a highly psychological treatise but even more a sharing of personal experiences of a woman who went through a lot in her life, combined with questions to the reader in which she challenges one to a selfreflection. It was a pleasure to read as it was a pleasure to join one of her workshops before. Highly recommented!
This book is full of insight and easy to read. It is straight forward and directs to the point for self-discovery. It is good to read now and then as a guide not to get lost in this busy world.
I liked the simplicity of this book - it is not filled with jargon and the author uses her life experiences to illustrate things that we may be feeling. Also unlike lots of self help books it does not waffle on with theory. I think that we are all work in progress....I am now dipping into it as I consider the self-reflection questions as reading about the author's experience helps me to consider my own.
This was a excellent read. I actually read it twice. The first time, I read it cover to cover in one sitting. The second time I completed all the exercises as I completed each chapter. This book is well written and well organized. I really couldn’t put it down. The exercises drew me in and kept me engaged.
