The reluctant hero of the Tag Series, "The Path" and "Reaching Angelica," Simon Bank, wrote, conceived, and executed this novella during the months of January to August 2023 in in high Earth orbit. Based in part on the classic sea tale "The Sea Wolf" (1904) by Jack London (1876 - 1916). The work is dedicated to the people who maintained him, supported him, and allowed his idiosyncratic habits without complaint. It is also dedicated to those who shape their very existence, answering the forward-seeker's question: Why are we still be here and why is it do damn hard?
