Unstoppable Liv Beaufont #9

The Passionate Delegate

Rate this book
Listening Length: 5 hours and 14 minutes

The Sinclairs aren’t gone.

And they’ve just awoken an ancient evil.

One whose job is to put mortals to sleep forever.

But Liv Beaufont is never going to allow that to happen. Not while she lives and breathes. Unfortunately, there are many who want this Warrior dead.

She’s not concerned though. Liv’s main priority is to find the Mortal Seven.

First, she needs to locate a hidden castle, pass a hundred obstacles, fix a broken heart and learn how to do something she’s never done before.

It’s just a typical day on the job for Liv Beaufont—she wouldn’t have it any other way.

But what DOES Rory do???

The ongoing frustration of Liv not knowing what Rory does, yet knowing that other people know is hilarious! We learn more about Rory, but when will we learn what his business is???

This story, as with the previous books, is full of humour, loyalty, snark, sarcasm, and poor puns. I love it! I’m hooked and can not wait for book 10 to be released. Get to writing, Sarah! 😝

Magical!

Mortals can now see magic! Liv is tasked with finding seven specific mortals in a world of millions - with no idea of who they are and little to guide her. Her work life is full of twists and turns. And suddenly her home life with her younger sister also takes a turn. This is a great read!

Liv did it again!

Really, this magical world of Liv Beaufont really amaze me, as there truly crazy stuff here, on the par with Howl's Moving Castle and all those Studio Ghibli creations (or nightmares)

Well The dragon is going to hatch I know it and I'm so glad that John was the first of the 7 mortals and the sandman was funny and parts of this book actually made me laugh out loud which caused a few funny looks from my husband. I wonder if she can get the law changes.

What a fun ride!! I love that anything goes in this series. It's so entertaining to see what quirky, different and new thing Sarah Noffke and Michael Anderle come up with. The book reads so quick, never a lagging moment. I can't believe this is book 9 already. I'm itching to get more backstory on Plato. I'm sure we all have our theories. How will the laws get changed and will Liv experience her latest fear shown in the Door Of Reflection? The swamp was fun to read about and the Sandman was quite a fun character. To bad he's a bad guy. He is kinda funny and sweet. Maybe he could be redeemed if Sarah felt like it (wink, wink).

I love Stefan, and I love that Liv finally has some romance in her life. They're so cute together! They'll totally In other news, (not a spoiler because she appeared at the end of the last book) that Kayla Sinclair girl is so annoyingly evil. I can't wait for Liv to find her out past just suspicions and kick her ass. Or kill her. Whatever works.

On Sophia:

I liked the musician magician guy. Also Al. And glad that Overall, a really good addition to the series. I'm enjoying the new arc already. I'd been putting off reading this for a while, not really sure why, but now there's a lovely backlog of Liv Beaufont books for me to read, so yay! I'd definitely recommend this series! 4.5 stars.

Great book

We need a Plato sorted perhaps a series of short stories. Would also like either short stories or a whole series for Bermuda and Liv's mum

This book is about the sandman and finding the first Mortal Seven.. We also see Liv's gifted sister have growth spurt along with her Dragon so she'll be able to ride him when he breaks free from the egg

I love it! Each book gets better and better. I love all the excitement and adventure. Sarah Noffke has kept to her true calling as a fantastic story teller. She weaves the best and Liv Beaumont stories have just backed that up for me.

I love the easy reading stories that build and develop the characters, but are also familiar.

To Short

I cant wait to start the next book. This one seemed really short. A good start to the new path of finding the mortal seven, but I need more meat in a story.

Super highly recommended!

This series continues to enthrall, even through book 9, and dare I say, beyond, as I'm just as eager for the next one to come out.

Even though Adler Sinclair is dead, Liv still gets a faint feeling of things still not being quite right, in what everyone was learning to call the House of Fourteen.

It could just be because she was feeling unsettled, but it also might have something to do with Kayla and Spencer Sinclair, siblings, and cousins, of Adler and Declan Sinclair, who are taking their places, and who are there one day, as Liv goes into the Chamber where the Councillors and Warriors meet daily.

She doesn't read much into Spenser, but feels an instant antipathy for Kayla. But, being ever the professional, she ignores her feelings, in order to get her job done efficiently.

Unfortunately, Papa Creola calls, needing her help, so she leaves the meeting and, on seeing Papa, is informed that she needs to search out the Sandman who, against Papa's expectations, has been revived from the deep sleep Papa had put him in many years before.

Liv is informed how urgent this is, as humans were already being affected by him and, if he got his own way, would send all humanity first to sleep, but then to die and, as Liv had found out recently, this would end magic entirely.

What Liv discovers in her journey to find the Sandman, is both good, and bad, and will have far-reaching consequences for everyone.

I almost raced through this book, and found myself laughing - and crying - as Liv's story continued. I feel that these books are going to be added to my 'To Keep Reading at Every Opportunity ' List, as the characters, the storyline, and the sheer layering of events taking place, have made this a real favourite of mine, already.

I'm just so glad that I'm able to keep reading this series in order, and not having to jump about between series, as I did with the Kurtherian Universe, as I discovered that, due to illness, my memory isn't as good as it used to be, and switching between series often made me forget too many important details!

At least, reading things this way means that I'm keeping the plotline sorted in my head! Lol

So, without ado, I'll be going on to book ten: The Unlikely Heroes, to find out what mischief Liv is up to next!

Catch you on the flip side!

Adler is gone and the magic-dampening transmitter is destroyed. Humans can now see magic and it’s the job of the magicians of the House of Fourteen to negotiate the integration of the races. Liv’s task now is to find the Mortal Seven so they can join the House, but the morals have been hit by a strange sleeping disease. Papa Creola tells her the Sandman is awake and she needs to put him back to sleep.

Footnote: 1) Liv’s trick in the elevator is hilarious. I wish I had the bravery to do that.

Fave scenes: Rudolph’s baby making, Sophia’s dragon egg problems, Liv dealing with Bermuda’s directions and John walking Pickles.

Of course!

Of course there is insurmountable obstacles to the one thing I want the most out of this story, the authors are trying to make sure I never sleep! I can't stop reading Liv's story! Each book is better than the last. From the gasp-out-loud heroics, to the heartache of the impossible, to the discovery of how a fae king thinks he gets his queen with child. Great read!

Defeating Adler only unleashes the next evil that Talon has and her trials are still not letting up in the least, the council are not pleased she is a force for change and don't want to change, they do not want to let the mortals in and they do not want the other magical races to be a part of the law either, but Liv does and so she plods on, her friends at her back and true to her unstoppable name, she makes sure that evil can not win the day.

Addicted

I am so addicted to Liv's story. She is a total bad*** and hilarious. Really loving the story development and want to see more of her and Stefan's relationship. The only thing that bothers me is Rudolf is getting dumber by the second, I'm sure when he first met Liv he was not a complete brick head

Liv fights bad guys. They seem to multiple like rabbits. The Sinclairs sure haven't gone away. They just wake more bad guys. Liv takes bad guys down while proving the pen is mightier than the sword. Now to figure out how to use the pen to change some laws.

What's next?

This book once again shines in adventure and relationships both friends and foes. We have a new villain and still have the God Magician. Liv's friends are going to have to be a major help to her I think if she is going to succeed. Can't wait to see what happens next.
