This book should be the third novel you read in French, right after you read "Merde, French is Hard… But Fun!", volume 2 in this series! In this book, the third in a trilogy, Helen finally lives her dream to see Paris. With a lot of humor, Helen tells us about her visiting the Orangerie Museum, the Père Lachaise cemetery, and other interesting places.
Reading a book in French can be difficult, even for advanced students. The paperback and Kindle editions include the text in French, a complete English translation, and tons of fun exercises. The audio recording of this fun novel contains the full French text, read by the author. It's the perfect way to improve your French! It's recommended for both students and teachers.
A note about the other books in the
Merde, It’s Not Easy to Learn French (Volume 1) Helen, an energetic American woman, decides to learn French to get her brain working. For Helen, learning French is not easy, but it's an exciting adventure!
Merde, French is Hard… But Fun! (Volume 2) In the second book, Helen continues to learn French. Except now she has a to visit Paris to use her French!
I've enjoyed the entire "Merde" trilogy, but sadly this was my least favourite. Most of the book happens before the actual trip to Paris, so the actual Paris section felt really rushed. In terms of the goal of teaching French by getting one to read, it achieves the goal. It has taken me a very long time and countless hours to finish this very short trilogy, but I blame that on my poor grasp of French than the writing itself. Will be looking for more by this Author
