Napoleon Hill is a man who very much represents his era. The values he represents are an amalgam of Yogic traditions (not that he ever mentions where his philosophy came from) Biblical texts and common sense.
He has 17 principles that make up his philosophy, the first being knowing what you want and what you’re prepared to give to accomplish your goals.
He’s all about positive thinking, taking action, being filled with enthusiasm, being in control of your mind and body and training your mind to focus on your goals exclusively.
There were a few dicy moments, like when he went on a tirade about Joe McCarthy and how there should be a thousand other people in government doing the same thing to “stem the tide of the fifth pillar that is trying to bring down our society!”
Overall, Hill has a lot of great advice and he is easy to follow, but Neville Goddard, Jose Silva, Dr Joe Dispensa and the Vedas are all saying the same thing.
