Goblins Don't Play Video Games is one of the few books in the Bailey School kids series that I never saw as a kid. I didn't know if it was just kind of rare or what when I bought it, but the cover looked interesting .The story starts off with Melody obsessed with this video game that she's playing called Master Goblin. There at the public library .She's sitting on the front porch constantly playing this game trying to kill all of the master goblins or something. Her friends are trying to talk her into going inside the library to pick up a book ,but she doesn't want to. She just wants to sit there and play the game. She eventually stops playing the game when her batteries die. They start their way home and they see This old house. It's a supposedly haunted house in Bailey City. They see people moving in but it's close to dark, so it's kind of weird. They see them unloading an Oregon and condalbra (?). I honestly have no idea what that is .They see this little short man ,with a gray beard standing on the front porch .The next day Eddie says he slept great, but the other kids did not. They said that organ music kept them up playing throughout the city . They see this guy entering the school. The same guy they seen the night prior. This is where we meet Mr Gordon Goble ,their new computer teacher. The first day he's teaching, he catches Melody playing her game and instead of getting on to her. He goes Leroy Jenkings and actually takes the game and gets to level 10 in like 5 minutes. When they're at the library Melody checked out a book and it has something to do with mythological creatures and of course they stumble upon an article about goblins. When Mr Goble first got there he brought a new computers that were just really clean and stuff. The whole thing about goblins in this book is a little dumb, because in the books it says that goblins are pranksters that love the pull pranks on people ,but they're also neat freaks ,which doesn't really make a lot of sense to me . The solution to getting rid of Mr Goble kind of dumb also and very repetitive. Something I'm pretty sure I've seen already in the series.
The story started off really really promising and then just kind of died dead in the water. This is one of the weaker ones in the series in my opinion. I give Goblins Don't Play Video Games a two out of five stars.

The campers and I did not enjoy this book as much as we would have liked. Campers were age 5-9. They found the ending to be anticlimactic and disappointing. In addition, did not find goblins to be an interesting monster and wished the characters went into the video game, the story appeared to be leading up to.

This one was rather fun. Personally, I'd like if a goblin came to visit my house. At least for a little, I'd totally keep it clean for treats. Sometimes I'm annoyed with how the kids try to drive people out of the city, but I must admit that sometimes, maybe it's for the best.

Poor Eddie.

But that karma will get you, every single time.

The book I read is titled Goblins Don’t Play Video Games by Debbie Dadey. The book is a lexile of 660. The book is about some kids in a classroom and they hear noises up in the attic. The kids are trying to figure out who or what it is. They kids keep hearing noises, then it goes away and keeps coming back. The kids find out it is a person and they got scared for no reason.

One theme of the book was things aren’t always as they seem. At first the students thought the noises were goblins, but they found out it was a person. The book propelled action when they first started hearing noises. This is propelling actions because kids starting thinking and worrying about the noises.

I would not recommend this book because it was made for younger kids. I thought it was too easy to read. It was a book that was not believable. My favorite part of the book was when the noise was by the teachers head and everyone was scared.

I've never read this far into the series, so I am going to stop tagging them as childhood books that I loved.

The quality is definitely starting to decline, but I am still on a mission to finish the series!

The collection of "The adventures of the Bailey School Kids" stories are among my all-time favorite children's books. Witty, mischievous and fun, these short and silly books continue to bring giggles to the young and old. Just as I have enjoyed them as a kid, my own children also love them today. I even catch myself re-reading them (alone) from time to time. What can I say? I guess I'll always be a BSK kid at heart.

The Bailey School Kids is a best-selling children's book series by Marcia Thornton Jones and Debbie Dadey. Its main characters are a group of four children (Eddie, Howie, Liza, Melody) who suspect some persons in the stories are popular folk lore or fairy tale characters. They are appealing because they mix a familiar story in with this group of kids. Mid-grammar school

I thought it was funny and how the master goblin in the video game was the master goblin in there real life. I thought there were some pretty good tricks in it and it kind of teaches you a lesson.
