Save Me

Rate this book
Six years ago I killed someone. On purpose. I've been fucked up ever since. I turned to drugs and almost died. After a stint in rehab and a failed attempt at college I moved to this tiny island. I never thought I'd meet people like them. I never thought I could be happy. To fall in love. They make me want to be a better person. I don't know if I can forgive myself for what I did though. Not just killing him, but my part in everything that led up to that day.

Can I find peace on this gentle island?

**This book is recommended for 18+ and has explicit sex scenes including MF, MM, and MMF. There's a lot of swearing in this book, and if you are turned off by reading about cum, this book is not for you.

This is an approximately 30,000 word standalone novella that deals with death, a mass shooting, drug use, and PTSD.

This has to do with PTSD. It is a great read but it does deal with heavy things. If you have triggers with shootings or overdose then don’t read it. Not if you don’t have those triggers then read it because although it does deal with those things it also provides the light at the end of the tunnel. It shows the story of a guy who thought everything was lost and his journey when he started having roommates.
I loved the story and I know you will be at the end of your seat the whole time! Plus it has steamy and fun scenes!

This books deals with past trauma, drug abuse and finding yourself again. Lance had to kill him in order to save alot of people including dylan. Lance blames himself for it all and ends up turning to drugs he almost dies and lands himself in rehab. Once he leaves rehab he buys a house and moves to PEI where he meets beautiful Ashton and reconnects with dylan one of the boys he saves in the beginning of the book. Ashton and dylan move into Lance's house and they end up in a beautiful relationship. Everyone gets to live out their dreams. This book is a beautiful story to redemption. There are quite a few triggers. I absolutely love the stories Elle Joraco writes definitely one of my favorite writers.

Another great book! I love the writing and the characters and the struggles. This author seems to tackle them really well and we get happy endings. Just a good read.

I always find that romance books tend to have something go absolutely wrong in them (not that I'm complaining). One character or the other does something stupid causing the other to get angry or hurt, and then they eventually come back together in the end. I can gladly say that this book had none of that, although I have to admit I was waiting for the other shoe to drop while I read. This was a simple romance yet the relationship had so much depth to it. Death can do a lot of things to people. Guilt, worry, shame, sadness, PTSD. It can be hard to handle. The three characters in this book have all been affected by death in different ways and even though it wasn't the catalyst to their relationship beginning, it somehow made them closer and more understanding of one another. This book was more about healing than anything..with a side of sexy times, experimentation, acceptance of the past, and making dreams come true. This novella was very different to Elle's other books, but I really enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this book. It starts out with a bang, almost quite literally, but that life-altering event is not what the book is about. It is merely a catalyst for the MMC. Save Me is about a journey of personal growth and finding the strength to forgive yourself for doing what felt wrong knowing it was the only right thing to do.
If you like broken heroes who find redemption, steamy sex scenes, and HEA endings then this book is for you! I highly recommend this novella but for those with triggers of self-harm, drug abuse, and gun violence be warned.

Elle does a great job of writing a complete story in a quick read. This is a journey of healing for all three of the main characters and how different people help us heal in different ways. Elle was able to create her characters in a short amount of time, show their struggles but also the build of the relationship and the ultimate HEA. I recommend if you are looking for a tragedy to HEA quick read.
