Shanna Handel is hit or miss for me. Since for me, the "hit" is consent and the "miss" is non-consent, I'm giving this two stars. I really wish authors and publishers would indicate non-consent in their blurbs: I've seen some do it so I don't understand why SNP won't.
I also found this book more than usually ridiculous, even for what is becoming an increasingly implausible genre as authors try to outdo each other in the raceto the bottom for sales. A boss spanks his employee and she -- due to the magic of the fiction -- is just fine with treatment that in any world would get him into a lot of legal and financial trouble (you remember #MeToo?). I had to laugh when at one point Luca says to himself:
Wonder what he would have done to a male employee? Oh, I forgot: men never make mistakes because they're menz.
If you can wrap your head around this logic, go for it. I couldn't.

I don’t have it in me to be unprofessional—radioing her and pulling her away from her work for a personal chat, checking on her relationship status—so I muddle through my day in a sea of confusion.Dude, the "unprofessional" ship sailed the moment you blackmailed a female employee into an act of sexual violence by threatening her job; it's probably circling Antarctica about now.
Wonder what he would have done to a male employee? Oh, I forgot: men never make mistakes because they're menz.
If you can wrap your head around this logic, go for it. I couldn't.

This was the latest offering in this light hearted series about the Bachman Mafia kingdom. After Emily’s boyfriend dumps her for one of his students she leaves town to take up a post as Chief Steward aboard the Aphrodite high is the Bachman family yacht. There she meets Luca the Captain who calls her to his office to reprimand her because she has been using her cell phone when she should be working which is an offence for which he could fire her. Instead, because she is the best Chief Steward he has ever had working for him and because she begs him not to fire her, he spanks her very soundly. This was a delightfully entertaining romantic story of two people finding love just what I needed in today’s unprecedented dark times (lockdown etc). I really like this series and hope that Ms Handel decides to write some more.

This series is one of my favorites. I’ve read all the books more than once and love that Ms. Handel creates new characters and unique storylines for each book. The new twist for this one? It’s on the seas. I LOVE IT! I’ve always been drawn to the ocean and to boats, and loved imagining the luxury sea craft that the Captain and Emily spent their time sparring back and forth and denying their attraction. What stays the same is that each book has a sexy, dominant Bachman man too irresistible for words and a strong, independent woman. This book is rich with interesting characters, storyline, sexiness, and romance. There are hints for stories to come and I really hope they do. The more Bachman stories the better, in my book at least. ❤️

Emily decides to start fresh after a bad breakup and takes a job on the Yacht owned by the Bachman’s, the Aphrodite. As the Chief Stew, she works are for Captain Luca and he demands excellence or there will be consequences and that is how Emily ends up over his knee for a spanking. What will happen when sparks begin to fly between them. Fast-paced steam read with loads of drama, suspense and off the charts hot. I loved it!

This book by Shanna Handel follows the same theme and fits in well with
all the other books in this series.It was a quick read and the author kept it
simple, allowing the characters to tell their own stories.The men of the
Bachman family are dominant and ooze sex appeal.The women are strong
and feisty but must answer to their men or face the consequences.
Emily Evans was after a new start due to failed relationship.She is now
the new chief steward aboard the Aphrodite which is under the control
of Captain Luca. When Emily is caught breaking the rules she finds herself
being punished by Luca.It takes a few trips over Luca's knees to set Emily on
the right path.
Emily was filled with desires for Luca.Unadulterated lust surfaced but, Luca is
the boss and a dangerous man.
"now what do i do with a very,very naughty girl like you? one who has already
been punished but defies me yet again?"
"I honestly have no idea.This is not like me.To take risks like this.To break the
rules."
Luca started to heal Emily's broken soul.She was the perfect blend of soft and
fiery.She had cast a spell on him.
This was a well written read that focused on the emotional journey around
Luca and Emily.Luca was the right blend of sweet and sour.Emily was feisty
and took pride in her work.She gave her heart and soul to Luca They were a
perfect couple.
I don't think that this storyline was as strong as the other books in this series.
For me,it lacked substance at times but this is only a personal opinion .I still
enjoyed it and would recommend you give it a try.

Consequences is the sixth book set within the Bachman Mafia world, but could be read as a stand alone. Emily is a new hire on the Aphrodite, the luxury ship for the Bachman’s. But she’s running from a disastrous breakup and she quickly breaks the rules. Instead of getting fired, Captain Luca proposes new consequences for her actions. While they slowly draw closer to each other, when her ex shows up again, who will Emily pick?
This series is one of those worlds that authors create that you just can’t help but wish were real. I have loved every moment I spent in this series, and reading through Consequences was no exception! Emily and Luca stole my attention and heart, and I absolutely loved their connection! Emily completely fascinated me. She had moments of being so dang sweet, and then other moments of being wild, naughty, and a little bit reckless. Luca was so steady, almost robotic with his workaholic tendencies, and I loved how Emily slowly softened him and drove him just a little bit crazy! I think they brought out the best in each other and helped one another become a better version of themselves. I liked the drama in this book, but honestly, this book focused mostly on their steamy relationship and the building of their love! I really enjoyed Emily and Luca and hope to see them a little in a future book! I already can’t wait for more from this series!

Emily Evans is the new chief steward on the "Aphrodite", a mega-yacht belonging to the Bachman family, aka America's Mafia Royalty. After being told 'It's me, not you' from the ex she thought would bring wedding bells, she needed an escape. Captain Luca, captain of the Aphrodite, is a workaholic who stays tied to the sea. Ridiculous stories spread about his past, as he never shares his private life. No one even knows if he's a member of the Brotherhood or just an employee of the Bachmans. So when Emily finds herself called up to the Captain because she broke his rules it becomes apparent she has only two choices. Pack her bags and leave immediately or take the punishment Captain Luca is set to deliver and if you know anything about the Bachmans, you now realize Emily is about to receive her first spanking. This was such an unexpected surprise for me. I hadn't thought to have Luca's story but it was such a great read that included twists and turns along with the famous Bachman discipline. Thank you so much for this one!

What a great read Emily has decided to have an adventure with a current job she just doesn't know that this job will have a few life changes to get life ,but before this adventure her now boyfriend has some great sling new for her that he wants to break up. Captain Luca has a great time at sea he has had many jobs for the brothers with taking them on cruises around different parts of their lands so when records to hire some extra help for these travels he didn't realize that one of his chew chiefs would be a beautiful ,braie girl that would make him change his mind about everything he decided on life. Emily is a bestie girl that is still upset about her then boyfriend break up her that she breaks on of captain Luca rules of being on her phone during work hours ,but breaking that rule might bring her punishment that she might need ,and most desperately want in the end . Luca and Emily have a few hard knocks ,but with time they both will get through it . Can't wait to read the next couple in this series

This book seemed to me like it was shorter then the first few Bachman books. It could be that I just devoured the book which made it seem shorter.
I liked Emily because she was so professional in the way she performed her job, and she was nice. So I was surprised at her social media obsession. Enter Captain Luca. Helping Emily get over her obsession became his number one priority. He was also nice. Based on his willingness to help out Jules proved he was a decent man.
This was a good addition to the Bachman series. This one didn't spend much time on land in the Village or at the Parish on the island. It mostly occurred at sea on the Aphrodite. I wish there had been more story including Emily's interactions with the Beauties, and exactly what Mica's job would have been had he moved to the Village. It was OK, but I needed more.

It was not long before the Captain was informed of her habit of stalking her ex on social media. Breaking the rules about mobile phones was not the only mistake. Emily added to it by lying about the reason. She should have been dismissed instantly. 2 1/2 stars. The love story between Luca and Emily is the core of this book. They have great chemistry and a nice connection. While this is part of a larger series, you don't have to read the others to understand this (I have not). The mafia connection is only a side story that just adds a bit of drama. I love the setting: a rich, private charter yacht. The power dynamics between Captain and crew works for me.
What didn't, was how Emily acted when she thought Luca was cheating on her. I can see her being very professional and a little emotion overflowing every now and then, but to go so far as to step on the Captain's foot is just bratty and childish. Emily was described as hard-working and loved her job multiple times, this behavior, particularly when there are guests on the boat, seemed out of character.
What didn't, was how Emily acted when she thought Luca was cheating on her. Firstly, yes this is part of a series. No, you don't have to have read the others to understand what's going on. That's what I love, each book can be read standalone. Secondly, I'm still loving this series. All of the characters are wonderful & are crafted so the reader actually feels like they know them. This book takes place (mostly) on the Bachman yacht, Aphrodite with Luca and Emily. Let me say that in the real world, Luca's behaviour would be seriously against all of the workplace acceptable regulations, but in a story it is HOT. Add in that I love a strong guy who knows what (& who) he wants and this book just did it for me. I loved the dynamic between Luca & Emily with the push/pull from each side.

Luca, the captain of the Aphrodite and Emily, his chief stew hit it off but not in a good way. Emily is a hard worker but extremely stubborn and strong willed. Luca, has a bunch of rules and Emily soon breaks one of them. She was then given the decision to either be punished or leave. She chose punishment because she was running away from someone.
Their relationship becomes so heated really fast and I enjoyed Luca and Emily’s dynamic.
Good read. This book has a Dom and Submissive story line so know that it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

Fresh and Familiar
I have enjoyed the premise of this series so far and thoroughly enjoy the similar structure and base pattern each of the books follows. This book was no different in that regard. However, it was also more distinct than most of these books are by stepping a bit further away from the central Brotherhood, and that worked really well in this case. The MCs were nicely developed and I even really enjoyed the side characters, all of which were new (with less overlap than normal for the series). The romance developed at a nice pace and the steam was nice and steamy.

I couldn’t put this story down. I loved every minute of it. I loved seeing Captain Luca get his story. I love this series by Shanna Handel. I highly recommend this book and this series.
Emily is needing a change of scenery after her breakup. She goes back to working on a yacht. She is able to score the chief stew position working for the Bachmans. Captain Luca has always vowed not to fall in love. But things change when he sees Emily. Will he help her get over her heartache?

I love this series and it is nice to read a different type of story. Both Emily and Luca have real jobs. Emily is sassy independent and a very hard worker. Captain Luca is hurt, he has rules for himself then he sees Emily and they go into the sea. There are plenty of hot spicy sexy scenes and some spankings. Also lots of real feelings and emotions. All the characters are real and well rounded. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. This is a well written, very easy to read and enjoyable story.

I love this next book in the Bachman series. You don't need to have read the other books, but it helps to put everything in context. Luca is the captain of the luxury yacht the Bachman family owns. Emily is the new Chief steward. She has left her life to get away from her ex who dumped her for another woman. There is a strong attraction between Luca and Emily, even though he is her boss. Once again I am completely blown away by Shanna. Her books are masterfully written and I can see the passion and love for writing pouring from the pages.
Emily and Luca... they make me swoon! I loved their character development and their journey. Their chemistry was hot, raw and full of passion. Scenes throughout this book were steamy, rough and highly entertaining.
This series is by far one of my absolute favourites and I highly recommend them. Another book that has brought me to my knees.

This story was different than the other Bachman books because it was set on their yacht, the Aphrodite. Emily is trying to escape her life back home and comes to work for Captain Luca as his chief stew. She's a great worker but a bit distracted and Luca thinks he's the guy to help her get back on track. The only problem is he has just one rule for himself, never fall in love. This is a sweet, saucy addition to this series and it was nice to catch up with some of the other Bachman's along the way.

The spanking men of the Bachman family are always a treat. This is Captain Luca's story. Luca is yacht captain for the family. When Emily comes on board as Chief Stew, he is taken with the beautiful young woman. The thought of her supple body draped over his strong thighs is tantalizing. She just wants to do a perfect job and forget her past. She never dreams her bottom will pay the price for her preoccupation with the past.

The author continues to delight and surprise me. The action in the book takes place on the sea which was interesting. The two main characters are intriguing and the sparks fly off their interactions. Even though you can tell where the story is headed, there is a great deal of strife and submission along the way providing ample entertainment. I loved the appearance of characters from previous books. This world keeps getting better and better. I look forward to the next chapter of this world. I can't wait to read about Jules and hopefully Charlotte.

Consequences
This is the 3th series I have read .However I read them backwards. I didn't read Mafia for the most part I have loved all of these series. I can't say enough good thing about this author. The characters flow through all three series as the couples story fell the story of each book. You quickly becomes friends with all of them and look forward to seeing them in the next book. If your looking for a outstanding read try any one of these series or better yet all of them

Yachting fun...
This one is fun.. who wouldn't love the story of crew mates on a yacht getting together. I liked both Luca & Emily. In this story I missed their chemistry. I don't think they had much chemistry together. I like that they got together the boss/employee line was way snapped in half.. a misunderstanding.. ok.. I dunno.. I feel like they could have been more connected, i feel like Emily needed a bit more direction... I could have used seeing Luca be more controlling.. all fine tho.. fine story.

This is such a great series. This is the story of Captain Luca of the yacht the Aphrodites. Luca finds himself falling for Emily the Chief Stew which she takes very seriously. Emily gets caught breaking a rule on the yacht and gets reprimanded bye Bachman way. Luca will show Emily the meaning of loved even if she has to take a few trips over his lap. Love this series. Can't wait for another book to come out. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Captain and Chief Stewart
The story of Luca and Emily. This was my favorite story in the series. Captain Luca was an all out Dominant and confirmed bachelor, until he meets his new Chief Stewart Emily. Luca introduces Emily to His dominant disciplinary ways of the Bachman men. I love the way the story progresses and the HEA is amazing. If you like Domestic Discipline then you will enjoy this series.

I liked how Luca dipped out of the party to go back to Emily!! Lol. He's stuck on that honey pot already!!
I was elated when Emily and her ex reunited and she told him about her feelings. Karma karma! Yes! The misunderstanding between Emily and Luca lead to a great reunion and feelings expressed! Check it out. A great spinoff of the original Baughmans and I can't wait for more!!
