Wrong Turn

Rate this book
Chelsea Cooper thinks her best friend’s fiancé is the world’s biggest jerk.

She’s never really been one to make waves, but when it comes to that guy, Chelsea’s willing to make an exception. There’s just no way she can let her best friend make the biggest mistake of her life by marrying him. She’ll do anything to stop the wedding, even if it means teaming up with the one person who’s an even bigger jerk — the groom-to-be’s best friend.

Drew Russo thinks his best friend’s fiancée’s best friend is the prickliest woman alive.

Everything about Chelsea aggravates him. She’s too structured, too uptight, and too opinionated — especially when it comes to her thoughts on his best friend. When he’s tasked with keeping her away from their best friends’ secret wedding, Drew knows he’s in for one hell of a challenge. Never mind the days he’ll have to spend trapped in a car with the world’s most annoying woman.

The plan is simple enough — keep Chelsea from interfering with the wedding. But between distractions, delays and detours, they discover they aren’t the enemies they thought they were. And sometimes a wrong turn can lead you in the right direction.

Warning — This sweet, sexy, and laugh out loud funny romance is filled with all the most ridiculous road trip stories you can imagine and will make you realize sometimes being wrong can be a lot more fun than being right.

I am really liking this new series Samantha Chase is writing. I like the theme, it’s not one that is overly used, and I also like the characters and their journeys so far. We’re only two books in, but I have a feeling …

This book I found particularly good because she developed not only our leads really well, but also the secondary characters. Yes, you might want to *cough* bitch slap *cough* them a time or two, but that’s the whole point. So while yes, I got twitchy at time, I understood the endgame. Everything you expect from a Samantha story you are going to find in Wrong Turn. It’s somewhat emotional, very happy with great characters an really great world.

I do have a tiny thing that I’m only mentioning because it caused the book to lose a little bit of shine because of it. When it comes to romance stories, you’re either going to have their sexual experience on the page or you aren’t. Either way is totally cool. It’s your book, your choice. Here’s what I don’t like. I don’t like building a scene of any kind and then … nothing. To me, that’s like leaving a plot point blowing in the wind and it just makes me go, WHY?! But let me be clear, I'm not talking about fade to black, this was pages of build-up and then *blank* So yeah, when it happened, it completely shut me out of the story/experience for enough time that I didn’t like it. But again… that’s just a me thing.

Light, sweet, and cute, Wrong Tun is a fun road trip romance. This is the second instalment in Samantha Chase’s Road Tripping series. It's packed with witty banter and laugh out loud moments.

Whilst I enjoyed the overall story feel as connected with Chelsea and Drew the way I do with other characters she writes. They have an enemies to lovers story and have an instant antagonistic relationship but end up hitting the road to ‘stop the elopement’ of their two friends. The actual romantic relationship lacked some depth and I would have loved a bit more buildup and a more romance feel to this story. Still a solid, fun read however.

Light, sweet, and a little sexy, this road trip romance flies by. The first half is pure fun, with a playful enemies to lovers vibe that’s heightened by the fact that our couple is stuck in a car together. Bickering turns to bantering and then it’s on from there. While I wish there had been more of a romantic feel to the story (the steamy moments feel more like hookups than anything else), I enjoyed it from start to finish.

The story follows Chelsea and Drew, two acquaintances who see each other every week because of their group of friends. Neither one particularly likes the other - she thinks he’s arrogant and crude, he thinks she’s uptight and judgmental. When their friends decide to elope, Drew is tasked with keeping Chelsea away from the wedding (since she doesn’t approve), and they somehow find themselves embarking on a road trip together. Chelsea’s goal is to stop the wedding; Drew’s goal is to slow down the trip so they don’t get there on time. But spending all that one-on-one time together changes the dynamic of their relationship, and they realize they never really knew each other at all.

It’s a quick, light read with plenty of humor and minimal steam (closed door). I really enjoyed the first half, where there was conflict and tension without any real heaviness. They’ve both good people who haven’t been showing their best sides to each other, so it was fun to see them realize how judgmental they’ve been. My main complaint is how quickly they fall into bed together and the lack of chemistry when they do so. I won’t give any spoilers, but there definitely wasn’t enough buildup to make it feel like more than a hookup. I wanted a little more depth to the actual romantic relationship, and that’s where this is lacking. Still a solid, fun read, but there definitely could’ve been more exploration there. I wouldn’t hesitate to read the next book in this series of standalones because it was a really cute read. I received an ARC via Inkslinger PR and am voluntarily leaving a review of this road trip romance.

Chelsea is loyal to those she cares about and as much as she cares about her best friend Bianca the same can’t be said for her fiancé Jimmy. When she finds out that they are eloping she is determined to find her and make her see reason but for that to happen she must work with Drew, the one man who she has nothing in common with and thinks that life is a party.

Drew is Jimmy’s best friend who now finds himself doing everything he can to ensure that Chelsea doesn’t find the couple before they get married. Having to spend time with the woman he believes is judgmental and doesn’t know how to have fun will be a test in his patience. Let the battle begin!

Through their friends Drew and Chelsea believe that they know who the other person is but being forced to spend time together truths will comes out that will cause them to second guess everything. What started out as something they were both dreading could just turn into the experience of a lifetime.

When Chelsea and her decidedly not a friend, Drew, end up on a road trip together, the sparks are flying, not the least because they dislike each other. Or do they...?

This is a cute little rom-com. I ended up liking Chelsea and Drew, and they save this from a lower rating. I like how they eventually got to know each other and see the other for the real person inside, rather than the misinformed opinions they used to have. I admit I'm not fond of the no sex scenes, but it's not a deal breaker, although I think it would have added more interest to the story. What I don't like, and the reason for the half a star taken off, is the two best friends, they ruined a bit of my enjoyment. They were pretty over the top and soap opera-ish and I could have done without them. Aside from them, though, I liked Wrong Turn and wouldn't mind reading more in this series.

Wrong Turn by Samantha Chase was such a fun and delightful read. Chelsea Cooper and Drew Russo share a group of friends that meets regularly, but do not always see eye to eye. They tend to push each other’s button every chance they get. When Chelsea’s best friend sets off to get married, she is determined to stop the wedding as she is not a fan of the groom to be. Drew, the groom’s best friend, is determined to stop her.

This is how they end up on a road trip together. But neither expected to discover so much more about the other with every wrong turn. I loved watching them get to know each other. Somehow on the way to their destination, they went from taking shots at each other to laughs, witty banter and eventually more. Wrong Turn by Samantha Chase was a witty, light and charming read.

Wrong Turns can lead to an HEA!

Chelsey and Drew have spend a year orbiting each other at weekly hangouts as their best friends began dating, got engaged, and finally decided to elope. But with best friends like Bianca and Jimmy...

Chelsey and Drew set off on a road trip to confront the “happy couple” but end up taking some Wrong Turns and finding that they like each other more than they thought.

Bianca and Jimmy are kind of the worst, and they are supposed to be, but the snappy banter and fun road trip shenanigans are what we are all really here for.

I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.

This was just pure fun wrapped up in an enemies to friends to lovers story. Chelsea and Drew have been circling each other for the past year after their best friends hooked up and now are engaged and BAM now are off to elope. This sends Chelsea into a tailspin to stop the elopement and Drew to stop Chelsea and sets them off on a road trip. That is all I'm going to tell you about this one except hang on to you kindle because this one goes fast. It was fun and witty and perfected paced. Definitely having a great time with this series! This one can be read as a standalone.

What happens when 2 people who don't really care for one another take a road trip together? Well we fund out in the enemy's to lovers book Wrong Turn. The second book in the RoadTripping series by Samantha Chase.

I'm really digging this series so far. In Wrong Turn we meet Chelsea and Drew, two acquaintances who don't really like one another, but are constantly brought together by their best friends who are a couple.

Wrong Turn is sweet, and a tad sexy book that was so much fun to read. Low angst and lots of comic banter and a bit of spice. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend this series!

This story contained laughs, secrets, and sweet love.

This is Drew and Chelsea’s story. Chelsea is out to stop a wedding. Her best friend is marring the biggest jerk and she is out to make sure to stop the wedding. Drew is out to stop Chelsea from doing anything crazy. He is the best friend of the groom. His only task is to keep her away from the secret wedding. But in order to do that he will have to deal with all the crazy he just knows she comes with. He finds all kinds of ways to distract her and falls for her along the way. But what is going to happen when secrets come out. Will she forgive him for steering her on a bunch of wrong turns?

I recommend this book.

Wrong Turn (RoadTripping #2) by Samantha Chase

If wishes were rainbows and heartache was sunshine, the world we be a much better place. However, we live in the real world and life just doesn't work out that way. So it's nice to take a step away for a while when reality tends to get a bit too real. Wrong Turn gives emotions a chance to take a breather and bask in the sun. Chase has dreamt up a trip worth taking in Chelsea and Drew. Whether they are the duo you love to hate or the sweetest kind of charm, this couple is one you'll never regret having taken a chance on.

It's been awhile since I read rom-com and I'm so glad I read this one and as my first experience with Samantha Chase I sure loving it.....A lot.
A road trip with an enemy to crash a wedding, oh yeah this one definitely has interesting and entertaining story with lots of drama.
Lots of laughters, lots of frustrations, and lots of love, my favorite combo in rom-com read. I really can feel the anger, the frustration, the hurt they've been through and that makes me can't put this book down, I keep turning page after page to find out how they survive this crazy fun road trip. Great cute sweet story with amazing adorable loveable characters, so yeah absolutely a MUST-READ one for rom-com fans.

Drew can move real quick when he wants to, “naked,” she finally said. “You really should be naked.” She never saw a man move as fast as Drew whipping his boxer briefs off." Sometimes Chelsea had to set her man straight, “actually, Skipper was Barbie’s sister. Midge was a friend.” I liked this book, I liked Drew.

I really enjoyed this book. The wrong and right turns were awesome, and so was Chelsea. Drew was not always the best, but he realized it and worked to make himself exactly that by the end of the book! A great story!

I love this series!

This second book in the RoadTripping series is so much fun. The characters are so relatable. I really love Drew & Chelsea.

I absolutely adored the fact that Ms. Chase included references and excepts from the first book of the series, Drive Me Crazy in this book. So fun!

I’ve been in a reading rut lately and wasn’t sure that I was going to be able to retreat into this story like I usually do when reading. Yet, in the first few pages, my interest was piqued. Wrong Turn by Samantha Chase is a romance suited for anyone who loves romance.

Chelsea and Drew don’t like each other. When their best friends decide to get married, Drew is tasked to keep Chelsea away so she won’t try to stop the wedding.

The characters are well fleshed out. I liked Chelsea right away and thought Drew was annoying in the beginning. I really disliked Chelsea’s best friend, which I believe is what the author intended. As to the connection of the main characters, I think that the way the characters’ physical relationship progressed was real. The first 25% of the novel I didn’t really get chemistry between them but it built quickly after.

Overall, it was a sweet read.

4.5 Stars for Wrong Turn book 2 in the Road Tripping Series.
I haven read book one but that took nothing away from this book and I still enjoyed and followed Wrong Turn with no issues that being said I will be going back to read the book while I wait for the next release in this series. A enemies to lovers romance that drew me in and captivated me from the first page to the last line and I’m sure this story will appeal to all romance lovers.
They say opposites attract and that is certainly the case for Chelsea and Drew, he can’t stand the woman he sees as bossy and overpowering and he will do what ever is needed to stay out of her way but when his best friend elopes with her best friend he is given the job of keeping Chelsea occupied so she can’t highjack the wedding........what follows is a very interesting road trip where this couple get to know each other and I mean really get to know each other.........
This book ticked all my boxes , I laughed out loud, I smiled and I sighed a lot, I loved the story and the characters and I’m looking forward to playing catch up with this series. Entertaining fun read.

OMG, I kept putting this down thinking I cannot stand the characters! And the story line didn’t have a lot either. Would pick it up and try some more...and no. About halfway through and I give up. Honestly if it had been a physical copy and not an ebook I would probably have thrown it across the room.

WRONG TURN is the second instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult ROADTRIPPING romance series. This is thirty year old, software specialist Drew Russo, and twenty-nine year old, physio therapist / voice narrator Chelsea Coopers story line. WRONG TURN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Drew and Chelsea) WRONG TURN follows the enemies to lovers relationship between thirty year old, software specialist Drew Russo, and twenty-nine year old, physio therapist / voice narrator Chelsea Cooper. For close to a year Chelsea Cooper has struggled to accept her best friend Bianca’s relationship with Jimmy, a relationship that was about to become more serious. Friday night get togethers meant spending time with Jimmy’s best friend Drew Russo, a man who pushed all of our heroine’s buttons but when Bianca and Jimmy left town for a secret destination wedding, Chelsea made it her mission to stop the wedding at all cost. Enter Drew Russo, Jimmy’s best friend, and the man with whom Chelsea will fall in love. What ensues is a cross country journey between Drew and Chelsea, and the potential fall-out as Chelsea comes to the realization that she is better off alone than with friends who continually push her down.

Chelsea Cooper battles between head and heart as it pertains to her best friend Bianca, a self-centred, self-righteous “Malibu Barbie” type who never considers the feelings of anyone else but it has taken Bianca most of her life to realize she has enabled her friend in all the wrong ways, adding to the toxicity of their struggling relationship. Hoping to stop Bianca from crashing the wedding, Drew makes all the wrong turns in their cross country trek, but finds himself falling in love, along the way.

The relationship between Chelsea and Drew is an enemies to lovers wherein our couple will discover their hatred for one another was fueled by the very friends tearing them down. Chelsea and Drew will have several heart to heart talks that will reveal the truth about what has happened, and probably why. The back and forth banter is witty and fun. The $ex scenes are all implied and fade to black.

We are introduced to Chelsea's best friend Bianca, and Drew’s best friend Jimmy, as well as Bianca and Chelsea’s friends Kendall and Shauna.

WRONG TURN focuses on two converging pathways: the toxic relationship of life long friends, and the fall-out when one friend has finally had enough; and the building relationship between Chelsea and Drew. The maturity level of many of the characters is questionable-their behavior and emotional out-bursts are adolescent and frustrating-I wanted to give everyone a time out. The premise is, at times, heart breaking; the character's attitudes are discouraging but saying that, Samantha Chase wrote a story that will resonate with many readers who have quite possibly experienced something similar in their own lives.

The author has also added a bit of an “Easter Egg” from Drive Me Crazy.

Road trip with polar opposites? Piece of cake.... right?

Turns out if that cake has frosting... wait, I'm getting ahead of myself.

Chelsea and Drew have the unfortunate blessing of their best friends falling for each other. Which means every Friday night, they get to spend together - mostly throwing jabs. It's routine. And maybe that's how it's always gonna be...but is that good enough? They don't get the chance to find out. When the best friends decide to elope, it suddenly becomes Drew's job to make sure Chelsea doesn't ruin the surprise wedding.

Chelsea was a great heroine. She loves her best friend - they've been friends forever. But what she sees in Drew's best friend is completely beyond her understanding. They are soooooo not right for each other! And it seems that Chelsea is the only one who recognizes it. When Drew lets it slip that the happy couple ran off together, she knows she has to stop it. She just didn't count on Drew trying to stop her.

Drew can't let his best friend down and knows that taking on distracting Chelsea for an entire weekend is going to be the death of him. One thing leads to another and suddenly they are off on a road trip together. How Drew is going to stretch it out long enough to miss the wedding he isn't sure... but then they start driving... and talking... and Drew suddenly realizes that maybe there's a lot more to this girl than what he was lead to believe. And if there's more to Chelsea than he thought, maybe she's not so crazy for wanting to break up this wedding... right?

This enemies-to-lovers is not an easy ride. Both characters are extremely stubborn, have a whole lotta preconceived notions about each other, and don't like each others' best friend (as in - the two best friends who are getting married). Most likely there's a lot of hurt and heartache at the end of this road trip - a road trip that suddenly neither Drew or Chelsea is regretting taking. Does knowing that change what they set out to do? Change them? And how do you recover from a heartache you never saw coming?

Samantha Chase did it again with this couple. This road trip was an eye opener for both Chelsea and Drew. Watching them grow in awareness of each other and their situations as the pages wore on, you are drawn into their lives and on the edge of your seat wondering how it all would end. Absolutely loved this story and I cannot wait until the next book!

Oh yeah...that cake? It makes an appearance for a good time...and frosting... I guess it's mostly the frosting. Just read it - you'll see.

Wrong Turn, Right Match!

This book is the second in Samantha Chase’s Road Tripping series.

This book brings Drew (a software specialists together with Chelsea (a physiotherapist and a book narrator for audio books). These two individuals have a poor view of the other, and as they meet up every Friday for a group of friends getting together, they rub each other the wrong way, and are happy to allow the other to move on to talk with others. In this book, Chelsea’s best friend (Bianca) and Drew’s best friend (Jimmy), decide to elope and they don’t want Chelsea to know about it as they know she will try to stop the wedding (She doesn’t believe these 2 are a good match for the other). I have to say, I hated Bianca and her crew! She has to be one of the most narcissistic woman that Chelsea has had the unfortunate opportunity to call her best friend! When Chelsea learns from Drew that Bianca and Jimmy are eloping, Drew is pulled into a scheme to keep her occupied so she won’t ruin the wedding. Drew does exactly that, and as the two embark on a very long road trip to the destination wedding, they learn that their opinion about the other person is not reality! They grow much closer, and finally learn they are really perfect for each other.

When they finally arrive at the wedding destination, the anger from Jimmy, and the evil comments from Bianca are too much! I loved seeing Chelsea finally stand up for herself! And then to have Bianca still expect her to be her maid-of-honour was way over the top for me! Thank goodness, Chelsea had left and she wasn’t going back to a “friend” who was only there to make herself feel better by constantly putting her down!

I felt that Chelsea was probably the only one of the bunch of friends who had matured and recognized her future dreams and desires, and the path to get there. Thankfully, Drew grew up while he was having some real life discussions with Chelsea while on their road trip. The others in the group, were completely mean girl or frat boys.

I loved how Chelsea was reading the first book in this series (Drive me Crazy) and how Drew needed to finish the book before reconnecting with Chelsea for their HEA! All in all, I truly enjoy Samantha Chase’s writing style and her sense of humour throughout her books. This was no exception!

I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.

Wrong Turn
Road Tripping #2
Samantha Chase
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Sometimes a wrong turn can lead you in the right direction”, this quote says it all, whether it be in fictional book life or real life. Chelsea and Drew are all kinds of wrong for each other, they despise each other like nothing else, but working together to stop the wedding of their perspective best friends (all be it for opposite reasons), spending two days in a car is going to be hell.

Chelsea is an occupational therapist and a audio narrator, but if you ask her friend she’s boring and, unattractive (who really needs friends like that). She spends every Friday night with best friend Bianca m her boyfriend/ fiancé Jimmy, his best friend Drew and a few others. She never really fits in and cannot stand Jimmy and his mate Drew. For grown men they’re like children…. Now she’s about to spend a very long time with Drew in an attempt to stop Bianca marrying Jimmy.

Drew has been given the ultimate job, keep Bianca away from the destination wedding of Bianca and Jimmy, but when someone opens their big mouth, Chelsea drops everything to stop her best friend marrying the worst man. But that means travelling with her other worst enemy, it’s not all champagne and roses for Drew either, stopping this crazy woman is one thing, but getting to know her is something totally different and nothing like what he expects.

In a winding road of drama, threats, curse words and anxiety Drew and Chelsea find something else… an unlikely friendship, laughs, really seeing each other for the first time instead of the poison attached by their so called friends. Chelsea discovers Drew isn’t as aweful and dumb as she thought, and Drew finds mystery in Chelsea, Nostradamus of THAT girl in a friendship group. I mean who needs enemies when you have friends like Bianca…. Chelsea will always fight for what’s right, and Drew sees that, but what he didn’t expect was falling for her. She’s smart, witty, a little crazy but more importantly, beautiful on the inside, something he never got to see in their social setting.

A road trip together is one thing but returning to the real world is something different. This trip will turn everything they have upside down, but puts a lot more in perspective! The result may just surprise you!

Chelsea Cooper and Drew Russo meet every Friday night with a group of friends for drinks. Chelsea’s best friend, Bianca is engaged to Drew’s best friend Jimmy—so they see each other frequently. And they don’t get along; not even a little bit. He thinks she’s boring because all she does is talk about her job as a book narrator. Chelsea thinks Drew is obnoxious. Things heat up when Chelsea finds out that Bianca and Jimmy plan to elope and Drew is tasked with keeping Chelsea from ruining the wedding.
Drew and Chelsea decide to fly to the destination wedding venue. Loved that Drew made so many wrong turns to the local airports that the couple was forced to drive to South Carolina. I enjoyed the couples banter—they really couldn’t stand each other. And, they were going to be stuck in Drew’s car for two days! This plot choice made for a fun read. Loved the road trip snack stops and conversations. Loved the scene when Chelsea decides to conquer her fear of bridges by driving over a 17 mile bridge! Samantha Chase does a fabulous job with this scene as Drew talks a truly petrified Chelsea through the drive. That’s when I realized Drew was one of the good guys and that he and Chelsea had chemistry.

Both Chelsea and Drew realized that they let their friends influence their opinions of one and other. Their relationship changes as they drive toward their destination. I liked that Drew was on a mission to get to know Chelsea on his own terms
Samantha Chase’s Road Tripping series is different from her other contemporary book series—it focusses completely on the couple and their road trip destination. The down to earth banter between the couple kept me reading -it was so spot on and relatable. I loved that the author dealt with Chelsea’s friendship with Bianca. It’s hard to admit and accept that a longtime friend—isn’t really your friend. Wrong Turn is a sexy romance between two people who weren’t looking for love. An unexpected road trip provides Chelsea and Drew with the opportunity to get to know each other on their own terms.
Samantha Chase’s Wrong Turn is a fun, flirty, sexy opposites attract romance. It’s the perfect read during the #StayAtHome lockdown! You will fall in love with Drew and Chelsea as they navigate through several roadblocks during their journey. And watch for the grand gesture-it’s pure Samantha Chase.

What if the last few years of your life were guided by a series of wrong turns?

Wrong Turn by Samantha Chase is book #2 in her RoadTripping Series. This fun book has well developed characters that you’ll love … or love to hate, a storyline that will keep you guessing and cheering, and scenes that sizzle!

Chelsea and Drew are part of a larger group that gets together at least every Friday, if not more. They barely tolerate each other but make attempts each week to support their best friends, Bianca and Jimmy. Chelsea feels like the odd duckling of Bianca and her posse, who use her for her designated driving when they go out. Chelsea’s a physical therapist with a side gig of narrating books. She’s making a name for herself in historical non-fiction as she works her way up to fiction. The posse, actually the whole group … doesn’t find Chelsea’s passion to be very interesting and find’s her outspokenness to be even less interesting than the narrating.

Drew owns a cyber security firm and has been friends with Jimmy as long as he can remember. He’s part of the group that doesn’t find Chelsea to be very endearing … whether it’s her personality or her profession. When Jimmy and Bianca decide to elope at a resort in South Carolina, the action begins! Drew is given the assignment of keeping Chelsea in the dark and away from the resort, but one thing leads to another and the two of them are on the road. He’s got preconceived notions of Chelsea that he starts to question almost immediately.

As the pair works their way south, their animosity turns into tolerance, which turns into interest and then …… wow … passion. The witty dialogue showcases the emotions between them … at first indignation, then indifference … and then charisma that sizzles. They realize that they’ve been played for a while and they come to question everything they’ve been lead to believe over the past few years.

Wrong Turn will have you guessing what’s next, make you sigh out loud, bring a smile to your face, and have you cheer on Drew and Chelsea as they verbally spar and tangle their way down the coast

In an interesting (and very welcome) twist, book #1 of RoadTripping is featured in this story. But if you haven’t read it, Ms. Chase has very creatively woven it in and it won’t spoil that book for you, and you’ll be able to enjoy book #2 as a standalone. But be forewarned! Once you read this book, you’re going to want to read Drive Me Crazy (book #1) too!

If you’re a fan of Ms. Chase, you won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t read any of her books, download this now and prepare yourself for an enjoyable read.

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.

Wrong Turn is a sweet and light romantic comedy that follows two people with strong animosity towards each other as they took a trip to save their best friend's wedding. This romantic flick has less steam than the books I used to read, but doesn't make it less engrossing. It's packed with witty banters and laugh out loud moments.

The hero and heroine's best friends are getting married to each other and they met regularly every Friday night in an Irish bar. They make quick assumptions based on what they hear about each other and that's how their dislikes of each other began. It builds up over a year until their best friends decided to do a shotgun wedding. On a quick whim, they did a road trip to their best friends' destination wedding although with different intentions in their mind. On the road everything turned haywire as they get to know each other in a more intimate level and realize perhaps they were wrong about each other from the get go.

This is a feel good romance, a book you can enjoy without putting too much effort into it and I always thought of that as a good thing. The heroine worked as a part time physical therapist and part time audiobook narrator. Getting into her head through her monologue can be difficult from time to time. She was described as uptight and difficult but underneath she's simply misunderstood. The hero owns his own security tech company, so from that we know he's loaded. He is somewhat superficial at the beginning and very crass with his words, but once he sorts out his fault, he's a sweet guy.

There were a lot of dramas going on that can be quite complicated to read through. As the story progressed, the truth slowly unravels itself and these characters did a lot of rumination to figure out the issues.

Overall, it's a good read to pass the time. I'm really looking forward to the next book by this author and maybe give some of her works a read or two.

I am in love with Samantha Chase’s latest series RoadTripping. Wrong Turn is the 2nd book in this series and definitely has ALL of the feels, and not just the good ones. There were many times I laughed, there was a time or two, weepy. There were also quite a few times I wanted to punch a character or two or three, or four.
Ms. Chase does a fantastic job building the characters in her books, starting with the leading characters as well as secondary characters, and Chelsea and Drew are just her latest accomplishments. I LOVE Chelsea and Drew, the H and h. Their best friends… not so much. Quite often, I just wanted to punch them. I will not give anything away, but this road trip, was the best thing that could have happened to Chelsea and Drew. Chelsea grew as a woman during Chelsea and Drew’s road trip. As they talked during their trip, they learned a lot of things that they thought they knew about the other was false.
I was gifted with a copy of this book for my reading enjoyment and for my opinion of the book/story. What I really love about Ms. Chase’s talents as a writer/storyteller, is that I know without a doubt that when reading or listening to one of her books, I can escape into a world of relaxation.
I could not wait for it to hit my kindle and start reading it. NOW, I can’t wait for the Audible edition to be released so I can listen to this wonderful story again.
Again, THANK YOU, Ms. Chase for sharing your wonderful story writing talents with your readers. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Thank you for reading my review. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I have, so what are you waiting for? Hit that purchase button and enjoy a great story.
