Yay, this series is getting better!

First of all, the scary is fun and definitely spookier in this book. The adults are getting in on things a bit, and the kids are interacting with the ghosts more in a positive way sometimes.

Overall, I'm impressed and hope that this means the author is hitting their stride and that this series will continue to get better. I actually liked this one!

This turned out to be a really sweet addition to the series. The character development continued nicely and the plot kept things moving along. The ending was absolutely endearing. I highly recommend this series for grades 2-3.

We've read a bunch of the stories in the The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids series by Debbie Dadey and Marcia Thornton Jones, but this is the first book we've read in the Ghostville Elementary series by the same authors. This series just isn't available from our local library.

I discovered this book at a fundraiser bake sale/book sale at my work. I was thrilled to see one of the books in the series available at a very low price and the theme of the book seemed to be appropriate for the upcoming Halloween holiday. It's not specifically about Halloween, but takes place at the same time of year and the story features a haunted house.

It's a fast read and while the fact that the ghosts are children is a bit creepy, on the whole, it's an entertaining story. We enjoyed reading this book together.

All you have to know is that I got it from my library at school. It is "fun" scary. There are some mysterious parts but it isn't frightening scary.
