Loving You Feels So Right: Alana and Jakobi

Rate this book
Alana Kim is the definition of crazy, sexy, cool. Labeled a man eater by current and former lovers, this wild child lives life on her terms and couldn’t care less what the world thinks of her. Seeking something she never experienced in her home growing up, Alana relishes the affection and attention she receives from the opposite sex. Men absolutely adore her but she’s unable to return those feelings of adoration which causes problems to arise with a longtime lover. For years, Alana has been content having sex without strings or commitments and has no plans to be tied down by anyone. It’s not until she witnesses the lives of the ones closest to her changing, that her past begins to weigh heavily on her heart. Throw into the mix an amazingly handsome man who captures her heart immediately and suddenly she’s changing her tune, considering love for the very first time.

Jakobi Tate is a damaged soul, carrying a load of hurt and pain on his shoulders but from the moment he lays eyes on Alana his life was forever changed. It’s like he’s known her his whole life and with no real family to call his own besides his brother Marcus, Jakobi is hoping to build something solid with Alana. However, he soon discovers that there’s tons of baggage and other men that come along with loving someone like her. Her promiscuous ways along with her detached personality may be just enough to push him away for good. Jakobi is fighting his own demons so he’s left wondering if taking on her issues is worth all the trouble. They have a connection that is out of this world but will that be enough for them to hold on to what they’ve found in one another? Read along as unimaginable revelations come to light and a foolish obsession reaches its breaking point in this steamy urban romance.

This book was cool. It had an interesting storyline. The couple met as kids at camp and lost their virginity to each other. They shared one special night and then lost touch. Unbeknownst to either party, the girl ended up pregnant with the guys baby. She thought the baby belonged to someone else and didn't even consider the MMC as the father. The FMC gives the baby up for adoption. Fast forward a couple of years, the FMC is now a nurse at a hospital and the MMC gets admitted. She is his nurse. They dont recognize eaxh other. Anyways, they start dating. At the same time, the FMC begins searching for the kids she gave away. She learns the father is the MMC.
That's the premise. This couple was intense to me bc it seems they went from dating to being in hard-core love and working together to make contact with and provide their child a home. A lot of stuff happens that makes that a reality.
Not sure if I'll read any other stories involving these characters. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't memorable.

Good read

Awesome read. Love the flow of the story as well as the characters. Jakobi and Alana were made for each other and had the same mentality about relationship s and love. Glad Jakobi handled Virgil stupid butt and Alana handle Shayla golddigging butt. I wish there was more on Macus and Nikki though. Gavin was so cute and I'm happy he was with parents in the end. Now Cheryl was a cold excuse for her, Alana's dad finally grew a pair up balls and got Cheryl straight about their daughter. This was a good read.

Alana is my shero

Alana is my shero. No matter what life threw at her, she persevered. Through it all, Jakobi was right there. I need someone like him in my life. She had her issues, but he was a good perdon at heart and when she loved, she lived hard. Their story has plenty of twists and turns to keep you turning those pages. Kudos to the author.

Such a feel-good story...

The love of friends can pull through the toughest times in your life. Alana definitely had that, and meeting the man she gave her heart years previously was the icing on the cake. Reuniting with family was a blessing, and God sure does work in mysterious ways.
Great work, Tae!!!

I have to say this is one of my favorite books. The story was soooooo Real and didn't seem like a urban fiction book. Wow is all I say. This is the kind of book black love stories are made from.

Review of Loving You Feels So Right

I enjoyed reading this book even though I cried a few times. Alana is one courageous woman. She overcame a lot to get where she is today thanks to Jakobi. I'm happy she got everything her heart desired and then some.

Loved today read, first by author. I double loved that Alana was in control and governed herself by her own standards. She didn’t play out let these men play in her face! I loved the full circle moment for her and Jakobi.

Alana and Jakobi were cute together. The storyline was kinda different which was a nice change. The book slowed down a lot near the end, but overall it was good.

Really good book. I love how they found out they knew each other when they were younger, and adding that with the fact a son is involved was great.
