I read this book as a starting point for learning how to conduct qualitative research. My hopes were perhaps a bit too high, as although the book was well-written and contained many examples, I was left with a feeling that there is a long way left to fully understand the thinking process behind the formulation of interview questions. But on the other hand, the book contained many references after each chapter, enabling access to material that could aid in this understanding. It also had a very thoughtful discussion of ethical issues important in qualitative research.
