Life moves on and so should we

Carlotta Wren's life is entering new territory-a new career path, a new direction in her love life, and possibly new family members to uncover. Especially when moving forward means walking through a minefield of mysterious discoveries about the people she loves, and the people she wants not to love.

USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.

Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.

In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,

Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.

At 156 pages this is barely longer than a novella and from the description, it just doesn't seem like it's that interesting. The last book set Carlotta and Wes up for major changes, so I'll just have to see if Bond delivers. Frankly, I think she is tired of these characters and just doesn't know how to resolve this series.

Carlotta Wren quit her job at Neiman's when they axed the new bridal salon she had worked so hard to get set up. Adrift, Carlotta now has to reinvent herself and move forward, not just career wise but love life wise also. She has deep feelings for Peter, Coop and Jack, with Coop taking the lead at this point in the race. Carlotta also has to make a decision about her search for her real father. She may not like what comes out of this Pandora's box once she opens it.

Wes is a mess, well he's always a mess, but he's more of a mess since Meg went missing. With his legal problems, he can't go to Europe and search for her, and it is tearing him up. His father, Randolph, is running his life but Wes is too much of a wuss to stop it.

One of the contestants for Carlotta's heart bites the dust. Now there are two. Which one will emerge the victor in this marathon battle?

Team Coop!!!

I am so in love with this series. I don’t think I can get enough of reading about Carolette and her troubles. As always heard love triangle has been very intricately woven. But things take a serious turn in this book and will surprise you. You’re definitely shed a tear or two for sure. Although this book doesn’t have the danger level most of her books do it still has the unsolved crimes and strange occurrences. This book may not have the excitement levels the others have, but it definitely has grit. I really hope that this is not the end!

Still A Fun Series

This latest in the Body Movers series had lots of attention on both Wes and Carlotta. Glad that author Stephanie Bond spent some of her Coronavirus quarantine time writing it.
Hope she will have another novel in this great series out soon.

I have loved this series of books since the beginning.

This is a better story than 10.......Ten was a transitional book. This one gets back to telling the story of how mysteries get solved.

I am not sure where Stephanie is going with this series......it may have run its course.

But if you love a little fluffy, fun romp....this is a good series.

I was so disappointed by this book. I was eagerly looking forward to it as I've loved the prior books in the series, but this one just didn't work for me. There wasn't any real mystery - just a minimal carryover from book 10, and the wit and humor from the prior books was missing. Add in Carlotta's milquetoast relationship with Coop, and this book is a snooze. I've always liked Coop, but as a friend, not a relationship. I miss Jack in this role and he is still very present for someone who's moved on. That he's always Carlotta's first call for help makes the whole Coop relationship feel disingenuous. This is probably my last Body Movers book. Book 10 was just ok, and now book 11 just felt as though it was "phoned in." I'm just glad I was able to borrow it from the library and didn't was $ buying it.

These books frustrate me, yet I can't stop reading them. I'm glad that it finally seems like Carlotta has gotten her life together, she's figured out what she wants to do for a job, yet it seems like dabbling in crimes is still going to happen, she seems to have settled on one man, but that has happened before too. I'm intrigued to see what happens with what she learned at the very end. I'm also intrigued to see what exactly is going on with Randolph, seems like there is a lot of sketchy things going on there and it also makes me wonder if maybe he wasn't so innocent in the crime he got clear of.

They are still moving!!!!😬😤

I truly enjoyed this book and the twist at the end was an added bonus. I'm ready for Carlotta to realize that she belongs with Jack they will get married, another big mystery will be solved by Carlotta, Wes will finally stop crying and the series will end. I like Coop and something wonderful will happen to him somewhere else.

I wish book 10 and 11 were combined because issues from the last book still continued into this one. Not much new happened other than Coop and Carlotta FINALLY took a step forward in their relationship. After all these books of them skirting around the ‘will they wont they’ relationship, it almost felt rushed. They agreed to take it slow (in my eye’s they took it 11 books slow) but yet they are already at the ‘I love you’ and proposal stage… I don’t think I’ve ever seen a relationship go slow and still feel rushed all at the same time. With Carlotta constantly comparing Coop to Jack and the way she feels whenever Jack is in the room, I don’t see the final book ending well for Coop. There still seem to be so many open mysteries but hopefully they are all resolved in book 12.

This series just can not end for me soon enough. This was another nothing book in the series; nothing much really happened but put a few pieces in place for a what I foresee as a disastrous final book. Carlotta is so selfish even a psychologist can't fix her. She finds so many worthless things to get involved in to not have to focus on anything meaningful in her life. Her brother is a disaster, her love life is so pitiful - and you can see her ramping up to trash a really good man, her "career" is nothing to help her get out of debt so bad she was supposed to file bankruptcy before the author just let that storyline slide, & she's not even mature enough to deal with Randolph & Valerie and the bomb they dropped on her. I've wasted too many hours listening to this awful series but I have a bad feeling the final book will be the worst yet.

Great addition to the series. After all the books, waiting for some things to happen, they finally did. Can't help but cheer on certain characters and be glad when they finally have good things happen to them. Lots of laughs in this book but also some tears. Was surprised at the twists that were included and hope that Carlotta and Wes continue to build their relationships with their current partners (trying to not put in spoilers!). The relationships they have with their parents is developing and it is good that they had work on it as it would not have been realistic if after 10 years apart everything was perfect.
Hoping this series continues for a few more books at least.
Once you start the series you will be hooked

I’ve always hated Peter,, but tbh,, I cried when he died. I just didn’t like him as a character, but I didn’t want him to die and the way he died.. it was awful :(

And, am I the only one who wants h to end up with Jack? I don’t feel the chemistry with Coop tbh. Like he’s a great guy but I don’t like Carlotta loves him.. he loves her for sure, but I don’t think she truly loves him ..

Oh and please let this not be some kind of foreshadowing of Randolph being some master mind underground criminal.. cz I love him,, he’s an ass with Wes,, but I mean there will OBVIOUSLY be some tension and awkwardness when father and son are getting to know each other.. but I like Randolph nonetheless! Please be a good guy ultimately!

I want the next book pleaseeeee

Another wonderful book.

This is book 11 in the Body Movers series. In this book, Carlotta has just quit her longtime job at Neiman Marcus, and is trying to figure out what to do with her life. Wes is distraught over news of his girlfriend. Carlotta still thinks there is more to her coworker, Patricias death, and is determined to find out.

This was another wonderful book. I love getting back into the lives of Carlotta and Wesley. There is a lot of revelations in this book that you don’t see coming. It definitely kept you on the edge of your seat. And the ending will leave you wanting more. Stephanie Bond sure knows how to leave a reader wanting more, with her cliffhanger endings. I recommend this series to anyone who loves a good mystery.

Carlotta Wren is finally hanging up her sales career at Neiman Marcus after more than 10 years. Her promotion to run the Neiman bridal salon has vanished when the plans for the salon are scrapped and she decides to move on.

But moving on from amateur sleuthing isn't what Carlotta has in mind. She is consumed with the murder of former colleague and friend, and she is still torn between two men, medical examiner, Cooper Craft and Atlanta police detective Jack Terry.

11 Bodies Moving On is a connecting book, leading the series to the eventual ending, but author Stephanie Bond continues to create enjoyable characters and wacky plots to keep the reader's interest.

Recommend for series' readers.

The Wren family drama continues

Another great story from Stephanie Bond. So much happens in this book! Carlotta is ready for changes, but had no idea what this could be. Her brother loses his love, and agonizes over her disappearance. Jack and Coop - they both pull at her in different ways, what will she do? Randolph works behind the scenes, and Carlotta makes an unbelievable discovery about her father. All this and more await you in the pages of this fast paced novel, so go get yourself a copy!

Catching up with old friends!

Very much enjoyed these new adventures with Carlotta, an old friend who was abandoned by her parents when she was a senior in HS and left to raise her 11 yo brother. Now, her brother is all grown up and in love, but his girlfriend is missing. Carlotta leaves her long time career with Neiman Marcus and is face with decisions/options for her future. I recommend starting this series with book one, and then hanging on for the ride through lots of fun and adventures.

Life gets even more complicated for Carlotta when every part of her life is in turmoil and change. She's trying to prove her innocence of murder, she quits the job at Neman Marcus she has had for many years, she says good bye for ever to one of her boyfriends, while still trying to find the murderer of her friend, then to top all this off she starts searching for the head of the investment firm her father worked for because he might be causing people's deaths, she may not survive this last effort.

A combination of spite, poor decisions, and Muppet balcony heckles are the reasons why I'll see this series to the miserable, predictable end. The side characters that were tolerable in previous books became annoying, and the twists could easily be guessed from the start. Main characters are still idiots and on the bright side one kicks the bucket so the final installment will have one less idiot. Reading this made me feel like a fly on the wall while the author talked through an outline and thought to throw in spicy bits that should have stayed in a Harlequin Blaze book.

Did not disappoint!!

I always get nervous when a series goes on for a while or when so much time passes between books. Sometimes a series will start to lose its energy. Not the case here.
This was a quick read, well written and I felt like I was able to pick right up where we left off. The sign of a good book is that I am bummed when I reach the last page!! I am ready for the next one!!

Good read

Read in one day. The heroine always has surprises in her life. Most of them keep you wanting to read the next installment of her journey. Between her love life and family, she has unexpected outcomes. Of course, I am pulling for her to pick the cop instead of the medical examiner although she is engaged to the medical examiner. Just the right amount of romance, drama and mystery.

The latest was somewhat entertaining, the first few chapters dragged a little but because I wanted to know the outcome. I went on. There were a few twists and added drama . For readers who wanted endings ,Unfortunately we have to wait for another body movers. Hopefully there won’t be more than 12!!

Great addition to the series!

I really enjoy this whole series. They're light & fun murder mysteries that are an easy read after a brain numbing day at work. The only problem is I stay up too late reading!

Please keep them coming, I can't wait to see what Carlotta gets herself into next!

11 Bodies Moving On

Wow the twist and turns, Stephanie Bond does it again. I loved the progression of Carlotta and Hannah's personal life. As usual the cliff hanger leaves you wanting the next book, like now.

I would highly recommend this body movers book/series and all Stephanie's books.

Love this series!!

I can't wait for the next book. Seriously, hurry and write the next one. I'm not sure about Carlotta's choice between Jack and Coop but can understand why she feels the way she does about both of them. I hope the books keep coming, I'm anxious to see how everything unfolds and what all the characters get into next.

I absolutely love this series. Carlotta, Wes, Hannah , Jack and coop are family now. I am team Jack sorry not sorry. I love coop though but I don't truly believe she should be with him. Well, should she maybe lol. However, The heart wants what the heart wants. I can't wait to read the 12th book. I wish this book had been longer . But it was fantastic!!

For me, this is another great addition to the series. Things start to look up for Carlotta career wise, even if her love life is a mess. Of course, things are not always what they seem, and everything goes topsy turvy. There are more decisions for Carlotta to make as her life goes in new directions.

I would regard this series as one of, if not my favorite, but the last few books have been leaving me wanting. This book, in particular, felt like we didn't move forward, it didn't have me on the edge of my seat, and frankly, it was predictable. I'm a bit disappointed.
