Allie Able is a romance writer, who tries to juggle her time between being a mother and a author. Allie was raised in a small town in Mississippi and now resides in Florida. Reading and writing romance has always been her first love. She decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a writer full-time, when the characters dancing around in her head wouldn't stop demanding her attention. Now she can be found sitting at her desk, feeding her coffee addiction, as she creates heartbreaking romance with spicy ever afters.

A great story that I want more of!!! Lily is a fantastic character I think people can relate to on many levels. I was drawn to her from the get go. She didn’t want romance only to be left alone to deal with her battle. The minute Matt lays eyes on her all bets are off and he’s determined to make her his... but will she cave? From romance to drama and even suspense the storyline is one you need to read. A new to me author that I am looking forward to reading more of.

An incredible read from a talented author. Love and Whiskey carries powerful tones that kept me captivated from beginning and to the end where I'm now suffering from a massive book hangover.
There is real, raw emotions laced within the carefully crafted words and it has me wanting to see what will come next.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a sexy, enticing story.

Couldn't stop reading! I love this book and I'm so glad to be able to read Allie Able's words again!❤ Lily and Matt are so sweet and gentle with each other. Lily has huge walls and is afraid of life and love. Matt is a workaholic who just hasn't put been looking for love. But then he sees Lily and he sees exactly what he wants. With patience, love and tenderness he begins to bring down Lily's walls. Lily is shocked by the way he is able to put her at ease. But Lily’s past comes back to haunt her and she builds her walls again. Hopefully Matt's heart is big enough to make her feel again. This book was refreshing with their carefree manner of falling for one another and I couldn’t put it down. I loved all the characters and can't wait to learn more about The Magnolia Distillery. You also get a surprise from one of Ms. Able's past books.

Guys!!! Gah!!! I’ve loved every single book by Ms. Able. Everyone. And I was SO EXCITED when I saw she was releasing something new! And I had the pleasure of helping her proof and already reading. This book, it’s amazing!! I love Lily and Matt so much. I could not put it down as I was reading. Add in of course the romance but there were some surprises and twists and turns I encountered while reading too! It’s amazing and I love it. And I’m so glad and. Able has released another book. Love & Whiskey by Allie Able is the First book in the Magnolia Distillery Series. This is the story of Lillian 'Lily' Chant and Matthew 'Matt' Breaux. Matthew has done nothing much but work to build up his business. But he gets distracted from his workaholic life when Lily he sees Lily. Lily did not have a great childhood which has lead her to make sure not to become attached to anything or anyone really. So she has set her path to graze through life with as less emotions as possible. But when Matt enter her world her blocking barriers are being torn down because he isn't allowing them to stay up.
Enjoyed their story! I hope to read more from this series and the author.

This is a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. This is the first in a new series and is Lily and Matt’s story. Lily is drifting through life at her own pace and is haunted by her past. Matt is a workaholic who is drawn to Lily and is determined to break down her barriers and get her to take a chance on him. This is a beautifully written story which has relatable characters, and has drama, suspense, and twists which all lead to a poignant love story which had hooked throughout, and I cannot wait to read more in this addictive series.

Oh, my poor Lily! She's not had the easiest time in life, which makes her protect herself by not relying on anyone else, and it hurt my heart. She was an independent woman obviously, since wasn't about to let anyone slay the dragons when it came to her battles. However, she didn't count on Matt, as the moment he laid eyes on her, he was determined to get past all of her walls, but she definitely didn't make it easy at all, especially since she wants nothing to do with anything remotely about romance. Matt was great in my eyes, and he never let her run him off even though Lily did her utmost to do so, which is how I knew he was her person. Love and Whiskey was a fantastic story with all the feels, drama, some suspense (my favorite) and two characters who were perfect in my eyes even with their flaws. Allie Able is a new to me author and Love and Whiskey is the first book that I’ve read by her. At first I thought it was going to be a darker read than it was. It was hinted that Lily had a rough past. I was expecting her to be more closed off with Matt than she was, but I’m glad things didn’t drag out. That always annoys me when a characters pride gets in the way. Lily does go through something that may be a trigger to some. If you’ve been a sexual abuse victim, I would read this with caution. Nothing specific is written, but we the reader know. I look forward to the next book by this author. Happy Reading!

I've enjoyed all of this authors books and this one did not disappoint. I loved how the author wove her other series into this book.

Lily has had a hard life and usually doesn't stay in one place long. When she finds herself drawn to whiskey will things change for her?

Matt is immediately drawn to the bartender and doesn't even know her name. He leaves it in her hands each time to reach out to him. He can sense that something is holding her back he just hope he can break down the barriers.

This was a great read. I look forward to more in this series!! I want to know more about Lane!!

Enjoyable story. I loved how the heroine, Lily, was the more screwed up one. Matt was a sweetheart and romantic and patient with her. His feelings were almost instant and more than just attraction. Lily's past made her what she was, and my heart hurt for her. As the story progressed, I laughed and cried along with her. The end seemed a bit rushed, but I recommend this story and look forward to the next in the series.

Absolutely loved it! Great writing & so glad to get to read another book from this author. Lily & Matt are so dang sweet. Both have reasons for not committing to relationships, but once Matt meets lily he knows what he wants & goes for it. Can he Tear down her walls, especially when her last come back for her?
