The Heart Healthy Cookbook for beginners 2020 by Adele Wilson
TOC where recipes are broken up by meal and food categories.
Introductions chapters talk about what is a healthy diet and basics that contain medium sized color photographs.
Different important aspects of the diet are explained.
Each recipe starts with a title, servings, cooking time and list of ingredients which you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low sodium, low fat, low sugar and fresh vs canned items.
Directions are given and there are NO pictures for each recipe.
There is some nutritional info per servings: calories, protein, carbs, fat, sat. fat and sodium.
Like that you can use different appliances for the recipes: one calls for bread machine and then the oven to finish.
Slow cooker is another and pan on the stove.
There are tons of recipes, lots of different flavor and variety.
Some recipes have a LOT of ingredients, some canned. Measurements are not uniform so be sure to read the recipe a few times.
Like no salt and low sodium recipes at the end.
Appendixes are included at the end with a meal plan for three weeks.
Recipe index is also attached.
