Reckless Obsession

Rate this book
Music is my life.
It's kept me breathing.
Even when I couldn't eat, sleep, or sing, I could still write songs.
It's the only thing that has saved me from going crazy.

Until the day Reckless Alibi decides to hire a girl.
Suddenly, everything from my past comes rushing back to me.
And now she's there. For every rehearsal. Every show. Every moment. Every song.

We were supposed to be a boy band.
Now everything has changed.
I'm still breathing ... but I'm sure as hell no longer sane.

**Reckless Obsession can be read as a standalone romance. It is book one in a series that follows a rock band.

Despite the fact that she is a romance writer, Samantha Christy's favorite television show of all time is The Walking Dead.

And contrary to the fact that her heroines drink things like wine and Cosmos, she prefers Bud Light.

She also loves fan mail and answers all of it.

She went to college and all that, getting a degree in something she never uses. She's also got a gaggle of kids (4) and a pretty decent husband.

I do not enjoy reading about characters who can not get over the loss of their beloved person.

So, Crew - who lost his great love (Abby) seven years ago, started “something” with Bria... but Abby was there too.
I could sympathise with his pain and heartache but since he still hadn’t put this behind him, he shouldn’t involve Bria into his messed up emotional life.
My mind still can not conceive how could Bria fell in love with him! Their attraction was palpable but I couldn’t feel their connection, besides the one regarding music. Briq was deserved much better.

Dnf @ 59%, not my cup of tea, thank you.

Yeah, I am DMFing. I can't do this anymore.

I am disgusted.

(DNFed at around 52% give or take.)

Hero is obsessed with his ex, calls the heroine by his ex's name TWICE.

Well, twice that I know of, because I didn't finish the audiobook. He may have done it 20 more times for the rest of the book for all I know lol.

*throws up

Bria and Crew have no chemistry and it DOES NOT help that Crew has more chemistry with Abby, his high school sweetheart, who we see in flashback chapters from his POV.

I REALLY dislike the heroine.

Let's ignore the little internalized misogyny she did when the band met Veronica. Apparently, she hates Veronica at first sight because Veronica is flirty, fancy, put together, and gives her a (better in my opinion) stage name.

Girl, there is no need to hate another woman for things like that... that SCREAMS insecurity and internalized misogyny.

But let's get to the real reason I dislike Bria, the heroine.

There's nothing worse than a heroine who doesn't respect herself and takes shit lying down like a toilet seat. (Sorry for the visual, but that is genuinely how I feel about women and female characters who don't value themselves. YOU ARE A TOILET SEAT.)

I started disliking her around the time she found out her boyfriend (not the hero) was cheating on her.

I did like that she ended it right away, but this author REALLY wants me to believe the heroine was THIS naive to not see this coming a mile away, with the way that famous boyfriend of hers was acting...

Dude wasn't even subtle about being an asshole. He was BLATANTLY an asshole to her, oogling at other women's breasts in front of her, treating her like shit, and yet the heroine does a PICACHU surprise face when she finds out he's cheating on her... GIRL! Why were you exclusive with someone like that in the first place...

You should have had your cake and eaten it too with him...

And worst, she left a situation where she was dating/having sex with the lead singer of a band, only to do it again with the hero, WITHOUT any second thoughts...

Girl, didn't you just lose your job because of this? How can you put yourself in the same situation? With a guy who keeps calling you by another girl's name, mind you...

How am I supposed to respect this heroine if she doesn't respect herself...?

Why didn't she stop her relationship with Crew the second he said Abby's name? That is so embarrassing!!!!!

She went on to have literally...and I am not kidding... LITERALLY the worst sex scene I have ever read in a book. EVER.

Not only is the hero still not over his ex, but he is also a 2 pumps chump, who says his ex's name right in the middle/after he just had sex with the heroine! LMAOOOOOOO

That was about where I deleted the audiobook.

I couldn't take it.

Literally what the fuck is this?

Not the type of romance book I'm into.

Goodbye.

This author isn't for me.

I've stalled out mulling this one over -- it's riding between a 3.5 and 4.0 star review. A final rating along with a full review to follow soon. And the real truth is: I'm too busy reading to stop and write a review.

Meanwhile, I'm going to follow on with the second installment in this new series, Reckless Invitation, from Samantha Christy.

First time reading from this author! And it was a good one! I love this story so much🥺🥺 it made me emotional and attached to it somehow🥺 Don’t ask me why please🥵 it made me emotional and feel love and learn something...

THIS STORY is about a guy who meet a great woman along his way to become successful singer, they talked and finally the heroine said yes to join their band (the hero’s band) because she was great and talented. This actually also my first time reading a story about a band who start from scratch like literally you will read how this band is from nothing to something so it was a great one to be able read that, i love reading their journey. So yeah most of this story you will read that, how they get their manager and PR and listen to their songs on the radio for the first time... How the heroine and hero meet is actually a good one too... romantic and unexpected good surprise... And how both hero and heroine get to love each other despite the hero’s difficulties and how he overcome his inner demon and get better...

“You’ll wait for me to get there, won’t you?”
“Of course I will.”

🥺🥺🥺🥺

Warning: This story have scenes where the heroine is with someone else at first before meeting the hero and have few smut scenes with that someone (not too long but also not too short). The hero’s story with someone else from his past that made him so emotionally damaged person and why he is the way he is.

‼️‼️‼️Not love in first sight its more like a electricity touch. “She doesn’t sing long just a few lines. But thats all it takes for me to understand exactly what it is about her thats effecting me.”

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Stalking, death and suicide

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS SOOOO OTT POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE. Even when a stranger female tries to talk to the heroine, he got all curious on who is that and why they are talking... like thats so surprisingly good because I didn’t thought he would be OTT POSSESSIVE 😆

‼️‼️‼️NO VIRGINS

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS NOT A MANWHORE either.

‼️‼️‼️BOTH ARE SINGERS AND VERY TALENTED SONG WRITERS 😍😍😍😍

‼️‼️‼️DRAMA WITH OW but she was their kinda their PR team something like that, she was jealous with the heroine because the heroine is pretty and talented and the other woman only have pretty face😂 She was annoying for sure like super annoying because she was fat shamming, a bully and not nice person at all. But I’m glad that she didn’t always get in the hero’s and heroine relationship that much because they always know she’s not worth it🤣 she wants the hero but the hero never wants her. DRAMA WITH OM but not too annoying... SO ALL THE DRAMA IS NOT THAT ANNOYING... most of the drama is about themself or the hero mostly😅😅

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS A SMART AND TALENTED SINGER! I love that she is strong and very independent. She knows how to defend herself physically and emotionally. She broke up with the famous singer from her previous band despite him being famous and all, she really just cut it off when she knows that he is cheating on her. I love that. I love that she’s not stupid. “I’m not going anywhere with you ever again. I’m done with you.”

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO WANTS THE HEROINE SOOOO BADLY.... I love when the hero stalk the heroine because she was mad at him and secretly goes to where heroine is going because he was worry and wants to know what she’s doing.... he tracked her phone. Yes he is obsessed with the heroine more than he want to admit it.

‼️‼️‼️MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO. LIKE SO MANY😂😂😂 I lost count😋 Little from the heroine... even from their meeting for the first time, the hero’s best friend tries to talk to her in a friendly way, the hero got jealous😜😜😜

“I don’t like the way he’s looking at her. Like maybe he’s going to make her his next conquest. And for a reason I can’t explain that doesn’t sit well with me.”

“Who’s texting you at two in the morning?”

“Yet you practically pummel every guy who gets within ten feet of me.”

“Crew is suspicious of every man who comes up to me and even some of the women. He assesses everyone who passes our dinner table like they will ask me out or take me away from him.”

“How many people have you punched for coming on to me? Hell, for even talking to me.”

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY MOSTLY FROM THE HERO AND YES IT DID HAPPENED FOR COUPLE OF TIMES.... The heroine only push the hero away when she had enough of his way like that and it really made him so guilty.

‼️‼️‼️IT HAD SEPARATION FOR WEEKS but both are very loyal and never go to anyone else...

‼️‼️‼️Very hot smut scenes😚 both are celibate for 5 months.

‼️‼️‼️In their journey to become a successful band together, I’m glad to see the hero and heroine never go to anyone else and even when someone tries to flirt with each of them, both really loyal and push them away immediately. Even before both have s*x and get serious in their relationship. So thats a very good one to read... Groupies did come to them but they never stick along too long because even some of the bandmates really don’t want them either...

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING. It says that the epilogue will be on the other books in the series... But both did say they are in this forever...

🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️

“We write about what’s important to us. What affects us. What destroys us.”

Reckless Obsession is Samantha Christy’s first book in her Reckless Rockstar series. In true Samantha fashion, she introduces new and previous characters that make you laugh, cry, say “one more chapter” at 2am, and all the WTH’s and OMG’s a great book gives you. Crew and Bria have an instant connection that Crew tries to fight but when they sing, it’s like it’s only the 2 of them. Nothing else exists. Nothing else matters. Until his unimaginable past comes crashing through. I love the back and forth between the past and the present, giving you just enough to keep you at the edge #onemorechapter

This was a random pick book. I liked the cover of the second book in the series and decided I’d start with the first one though. This was a great random book pick I must say and the first book I’d read by Samantha Christy.

This is a three book series about an up and coming rock band Reckless Alibi and this book concentrates on Crew, the lead singer and songwriter. They are currently the opening band for a few tour dates for a big name band. They notice Bria, a back-up singer for the opening band, in a dispute with the lead singer and when things go bad the members of Reckless Alibi offer her a chance to sing for them. They have heard her sing and think she is just what their band needs. Crew however is less than thrilled with this new development. However, as the rest of the band wants her in, he reluctantly agrees. She fits in perfectly and as they hoped, gives their band that extra boost they needed to get to the next level. However, Crew is rather cold to her at first but when he discovers she writes songs and as they work together on lyrics they create something very special, he begins to thaw and they begin to develop feelings for each other. But Crew is giving her mixed signals.; one minute it seems they might have something special and then the next he grows cold.

We see why in short chapters from his past and he has his reasons. He has gone through something very tragic and very sad and it affects any relationships that might develop. I know I’m being mysterious here but I don’t want to give any spoilers.

I love this book. Crew is so damaged by his past that my heart hurt for him. His back story is told in small bits which builds tension and we see over time his issues. I really like the way the author does this.
Bria is also a wonderful character. She’s confused by Crew and his swings, and while she is tempted to quit and at one point comes very close, she does know what a great guy he is and how talented they are as a group. Since they’ve bonded tightly in a short amount of time, they’ve all become an important part of her life.
I love the camaraderie amongst all of them and I love how right from the beginning they welcome Bria as an important part of the group, even Crew though somewhat reluctantly for a while. It’s fun to see them at the beginning of their rise to the top. This carries through throughout the series.

I’ve already read the second book and I’ll be working on reviewing it tomorrow. I am so pleased with this book pick up and I’m patting myself on the back for it *grin*. I’m happy to recommend this book.

“Reckless Obsession” (The first book in the Reckless Rockstar series) by Samantha Christy

This is a MUST read!!!

Crew is the lead singer in his rock band “Reckless Alibi” and for years it has just been him and the guys… until her…. She is what the band was missing but he wants none of it…. He cannot…. He won’t…. Why does she make him feel like this?

Bria is taken back by his uncultured manner…What has she done to be treated like this? She thought being considered for the position in their band, it would help heal her hurt… but instead it has made her more guarded. She will not trust another lead singer ever…

Crew knew it was a mistake. He cannot even look at her let alone sing with her…. He needs to forget…. He needs to let go….

There is SO much story here so please this is a must read!

The characters have a duel POV. You will read about what their lives were like and what got them to the point they were at. What inspires and drives them…

This story will absorb you. It invites you into the characters world of suffering, hurt, love and so much more.  You will get to experience each individual’s pain where the ache is real and you will feel it right down to your core.

I became a part of their lives. I cried with Crew… I cried with Bria… I laughed with the guys and their quirkiness… I felt like spitting a few choice words out at “Ronnie” myself because I know every book needs a villain or villainess and this one did not disappoint… Super entertaining!

In the end the book boils down to the story line. What captures you? Can you relate etc… I was enraptured from beginning to end and I have no doubt you will be too. VERY well written Samantha Christy. I love your work and I know that when writing a book, you write with you heart and soul. I cannot wait for what comes next!!!

Wow - you wil need a supply of Kleenex and an entire bottle of wine while reading this book. Samantha Christy has once again ripped my heart from my chest, made me ugly cry alone on the couch and then wrapped me up in a warm blanket and made everything that was bad into good - and all this in one sitting because I could not put this book down!! Bria and Crew live and die with a song in their heart and lyrics dripping from their souls. The emotional journey that they have to travel through while taking the band from a garage to headlines was one of the best stories I have read in a long time. Simply put - Samantha Christy has created a masterpiece and everyone who reads this book comes out the other side emotionally drained. Job well done!! I cannot wait for more in this series.

Although I liked the story, I hate how Bria let Crew and Ronni walk all over her.
Crew should have gotten therapy for his loss of Abby and the way she died. Poor Bria ended up paying for that. Crew just about lost his mind anytime a man/fan approached Bria, seeing him as a potential stalker. It just got too crazy for me.

Reckless Obsession / Samantha Christy, 2020

“Music is what feelings sound like.”

And Samantha does it again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Reckless Obsession the first book in her new series, and what an opener this is.

We’ve already met Bria, Brett Cash’s sister and know she’s off to tour with a major rock band. (if you’ve read Igniting Emma that is, and if not why not!! 😏)

Cash, he’s our new boy on the block and oh what a back story he’s got in store for us.

This was a major pull on the heart strings throughout. The tragedy is sole destroying.

Writing and performing songs isn’t the only thing that bring Bria and Crew together. The chemistry is undeniable, but when you start to deny yourself what you truly need things start to get a bit crazy.

This one goes deep.

Brilliant storyline, fantastic new characters who we can start to know and love.

Love the fact we now have a whole new group to have interlinked into a new series. And that we get to revisit with old favourites.

Liam is going to be an interesting one. Can’t wait to see where this series takes us. Me thinks it’s going to be a bumpy ride. But hey they’re always the best ones.

I’m really looking forward to the audio release, this is going to be fantastic to listen to.

Samantha Christy knows how to write any kind of book. My love for her started in Purple Orchid and kept continuing with each new book she introduced. She creates magic with her words and makes you part of the book. Her characters are real and developed so wonderfully, you never have questions about where they stand or who they are. They always have a background that connects to you intimately.

When she writes these books, her attention to details astound me. She brings back characters from the past that you have fallen in love with. Her attention to detail is out of this world.

Bria and crew are thrown together to an unfortunate situation. Hard feelings and emotions come into play. But, the chemistry between the two is off the charts. Their stories are hard and you should have a box of Kleenex ready.

A great 5 ⭐️ ready by Samantha Christy!!

This book was alright in the beginning and middle and then just got progressively worse and worse.

Chris was too caught up in the past and inside his own head to see him as a proper romantic partner. He was toxic and mean and wishy washy and made Bria believe that there was something wrong with her (for literally like 60% of the goddamn book) which I just hate so fucking much. Everyone had to tiptoe around him to support his ego and fragility. He was hypocritical and just a pathetic asshole

Also - I really hate when female authors write other female characters and call them sl*ts (a word I hate) and tear them down from appearance and judge them for how they act. It’s mean and completely unnecessary

Also Bria was a little bitch and kept taking Chris’s shit until like the last 20% like girl he’s been messing with your head since chapter 12. You deserve better

And can we talk about fucking Abby?? The truth about what happened to her deserves to be in a goddamn thriller novel. It made me sick. I came here for an angsty rock n roll romance and I got traumatized assholes and a girl with as much dignity as a sponge

Not for me. Some parts were decent and kinda fun to read but for the most part don’t waste your time with this confusing mess

I found it very boring and bleak.

Boring, because the characters are drab and have little self respect. The detail was sometimes unnecessary and I could skip pages without missing a beat.

Some of the scenes are depressing and degrading. The way the leading lady let herself be used by the White Poison lead singer is cringe. The naivety is dreary.

The story is also not believable. A male and female sharing the lead singer spot of an (otherwise) all male band. Never seen that being a big selling point for concert tickets. Definitely didn’t work for me as a book.

I am so on the fence with this book, because while I really enjoyed the band component, the song lyrics they wrote which appear on the pages, and the band members who were on the rise to living out their dreams, I had a hard time relating to the Hero and heroine, and didn’t feel their romantic connection. Sure they were electric on stage, but that was it in my opinion. I felt sorry for Bria as she played second fiddle to Crew’s ex for more than 80 percent of the book. He was moody and cold, and it wasn’t in a broody, sexy kind of way. He knew he was messed up from his past, and eventually dealt with his demons, but it was a little too late for me. Also the big reveal of what happened to his ex was very dramatic. I felt for him, but found it all to be over the top to have him redeemed.

I liked Bria and her relationship with her brother and that she was an independent, talented musician with morals and values. She worked hard and made sacrifices and wasn’t afraid to admit when she made a mistake such as her past relationship with another musician. I felt she had great patience and empathy, but that she just accepted whatever crumbs Crew gave her, and wish that she were stronger.

Sadly, I also didn’t understand how the band, Reckless Alibi, took such crap from Veronica/Ronnie, who worked for their label. She works for them and it seems to me that they were being taken advantage of. Did they even ask a lawyer to look at the lame contracts that they all signed? Who would ever give away all their rights to the songs they personally wrote and recorded? Or let them dictate their first music video or the line-up of their songs at a concert without even a discussion for their input. And their relationship with Liam’s uncle was all sorts of creepy and strange. I am sure more will be answered in future books, as the other male band members each find love, but I am not invested enough to continue.

Wow! I may be obsessed with Reckless Obsession, book 1 in the Reckless Rockstar Series by Samantha Christy. This book is narrated by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon.

Crew and Bria's love story is rocky, tear jerking, and all consuming. Bria starts out as a girl simply settling for what she has. However, she longs for more and given the opportunity she takes what she wants, and I love that about her character. Crew's history is dark and twisted, but Bria and his music help him overcome many struggles and challenges he faces. I loved the character arcs in this amazing Rockstar romance.

Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon are absolutely amazing in this book. I love their singing, and how much more it brings to the story. Jason Clarke does a phenomenal job of portraying all Crew's pain and passion! I was in tears several times. Erin brought out Bria's determination and strength to stand her ground and fight for what she truly wanted. Both narrators are favorites of mine, and this is a performance that left a lasting impression on me.

Overall, I loved this book! It was raw and emotional; it was beautifully written, and I couldn't get enough! I will be listening to more of these in the series. Samantha Christy is becoming a new favorite author to me. Five emotional rockin stars!!

The description of this book is what dragged me in, and I do love a good rock romance! This book wasn’t easy, especially for Crew, as old feelings were bought to the surface, and he had to deal with his past once again.

Bria was a backup singer for a well-known band, and when things ended there for her, she was picked up by Reckless Alibi to give the boy band a bit more edge. Most of the band were excited for this change, but for Crew, he struggled with what happened in his past.

The more time that Bria and Crew spent together, you could see that they worked so well together, and that the connection was there. The passion was intense, and I loved the strength that Bria had, and she was not willing to settle for second best. Crew had to deal with his past and learn that he had to let go at times as he could not control everything.

This was a good first read in The Reckless Rockstar series. I liked the way that the author gave us glimpses into Crew’s past throughout the story so we could understand him better. I enjoyed getting to know both Luke and Garrett as well, and I look forward to their stories.

I haven’t had a book draw me in like this one in a long time. I couldn’t put this book down. I got less than three hours of sleep so I could read this book (which hasn’t happened in months.).

I loved Crew and Bria. They are both characters you’ll fall in love with. This book will pull out your heartstrings. You may even cry. I had so many emotions while reading. I felt for both of them at times. I just wanted to wrap them up and wish they didn’t have to hold the pain they were.

This is the type of rockstar romance that I love. It will draw you in and keep you entertained. There is so much more I want to say but I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone!! Everyone should go into this book blind. It’s worth the journey. This is a book I wish I could unread so I could read it again for the very first time!

I am so drawn to the whole band. I cannot wait to see them grow. I have so many questions about Liam. He’s got some secrets that I need to know. I hope he’s the next one we get to learn more about!

I’m starting a Reckless AlibiFan Club! Wanna join?!

Crew’s got issues. What lead singer doesn’t right?! Add in a new member to the band- a female co-lead singer- and you’re playing with fire! And that is exactly what you get with this book! Because it is hot!

In a new series standalone from one of my favorite authors, Samantha Christy, Reckless Obsession has every thing a rock star romance reader could want:
Up and coming hot band: check
Hot, inked lead singer with issues: check
A beautiful new female co-lead singer: check
An angsty backstory: check
A plot that has you up all night: check
A band that makes it hard to wait to read about all the other members: check, check and check!!

Do you need more? I won’t give you spoilers but if you love hot rockers , if you love angsty books with ALL the feels? Reckless Obsession is for you because you’ll laugh, you’ll scoff, you’ll want to reach in and shake the living daylights out of a character and then give that character a hug a little, and of course there is alway the big ugly cry you’ll do.

So so good! Highly recommended!

This book gave me chills and goosebumps over and over again. I was so engaged and captivated the entire time. It had funny moments, inspiring moments, and heartbreaking moments. It was literally an emotional rollercoaster.

I was sitting there devouring this book, it was super cute and entertaining. But I knew something was coming so I just knew I was going to cry. But then it ends up so much worse than I had prepared myself for. HEARTWRENCHING! My chest ached and I had trouble breathing. I didn't see that coming and I needed a hug to get through it. But hugs are illegal right now. Luckily for me I basically got a book hug as I continued through the book and in the end my heart still hurt but I was happy.

I loved how this book played out and how it seems the rest of the series will go and I cannot wait for the next book! And I loved the shout outs to the characters from the past books as always.

Wow! Samantha Christy knows how to tell a story! This was my first read by her and I was lucky enough to be offered an ARC ❤️

We all have a past that shapes who we are, who we become. Crew's past has haunted him for 7 years. With broken promises and lost love, he struggles to let Bria in.

Bria is a strong, smart and patient heroine and is exactly what Crew needs in his life. Their chemistry is off the charts, even he sees that. But letting go of his past is easier said than done.

This book kept me up late and it was well worth it! 'Just one more chapter' turned into 'I NEED TO KNOW' very quickly. The emotion and the feels are all here! Crew's backstory left me in tears, but a HEA made all the tears worth it. I can't wait for more from The Reckless Rockstar series and Samantha Christy.

This book was amazing! I loved that the characters didn’t just fall, they had to work for it. I felt for Crue when his truth came out. It was horrific, but with the help of his friends and girlfriend, got through it. This book is a rockstar romance, but revolved more around the characters and their struggles than the band itself. Don’t get me wrong, it was about the band also and it was very well written. I loved that the narrators sang the music! This author never fails to pull out all my emotions while reading her books. I can’t wait to read Liam’s book!

While I enjoyed this one, it was a struggle. I totally understand crew missing Abby but this was hard to read when he called Bria the wrong name. Especially since both girls were singers and apparently had similar hair for a portion. It really felt like he didn’t live Bria but was just seeing Abby. I still kinda felt that way even at the end. I saw they are supposed to continue their story through the other reckless books do hopefully it’ll help me love them.

HECK YES!

This book features up-and-coming musicians on the brink of making it big. The hero and heroine are compelling, smart, and dedicated, all while having unique problems and complexities to their relationship that I've never encountered before. They were believable and loveable, and I was rooting for them more than I've rooted for most novel characters I've read lately.

I'm curious and excited about how the second in the series will live up to the first one!
