"Rejected" is a limited-edition, multi-genre fundraising anthology where proceeds from online sales benefit the Spay/Neuter Coalition of Georgia. The coalition is a 100% volunteer, Georgia 501c3 non-profit that dedicates itself to implementing more spay and neuter for domestic cats and dogs via education, outreach, and collaboration with others on the same mission. They also promote the many low cost spay/neuter options already available to the general public.
The "Rejected" anthology is one that contains pieces by a multitude of extremely talented authors and poets that span a wide gamut of genres from contemporary to traditional poetry, romance to horror to psychological thriller. The only stipulation? To coincide the theme of the fundraising, each piece was required to have been rejected by a publication company or collective at least once!
We are glad to have been able to not only find these stories a home but to also have the ability to use them to promote spay/neuter efforts that will prevent the abandonment of numerous cats and dogs throughout Georgia.
From everyone involved in the "Rejected" anthology, thank you for helping us support an amazing cause and making a positive impact in the world! We look forward to your feedback and hope that you enjoy our stories and poetry as much as we enjoyed putting these pieces together.
I’ve read stories from many of the authors in this anthology before and am ecstatic to be a part of something that’s not only unique, but also a great cause. It’s a great book to pick up when you’re not quite sure what you’re in the mood to read.
I love the idea of this anthology, and the cause that the proceeds are going to. For the authors who were rejected, never give up. For those animals out there waiting for their loving forever homes, I hope they find you.
There are a variety of stories and poems of all genres—something for everyone. My two favorites:
“The Day Sam Ruined Everything” by Jensen Reed “Master of Water” by Michael Sutch
