A series of events puts her on the street, with hardly any money and no place to go. A simple business transaction between Henry and Lizzie leads to life-altering decisions for both of them and their choices have an impact on everybody else.

This book happily reminded me of British 80's Mills and Boon. The length was longer than expected, but a fast read with good editing. My main complaint is that each character's diction wasn't uniquely theirs. How many Los Angeles teenagers say "shall I"? I was relieved that it didn't detour into heavy erotica despite the early scenes. In fact, the sex scenes were fairly "clean".
