Lucien Valentine must die.

It’s the thought that’s kept me going for four long years. I’ve imagined it, dreamed about it, relished in it. I want it so bad, but the question is, do I have what it takes to make it happen?

Taking a life isn’t for the faint-hearted. Just ask Lucien, he knows.

He’s taken me back to where it all started and I know exactly how it’s going to go. He’s going to hurt me and then he’ll marry me off to his millionaire business partner, Marcus Mahony, who has even lower morals than he does.

I can’t let that happen.

I have to get out of here even if it means finding out exactly what I’m made of, even if it means leaving a piece of myself behind.

I thought the past six months were insane. It turns out that I hadn’t even touched the surface. One thing is for sure, I will never be the same again.

Welcome. To. Hell.

I'm glad that it's finally over.
This series make me feel anxious just to end it.

This last book was better than the last, but it's still very unreal and with a fishnet of coherency and sense.

At least in this one we're out of the eternal circle of basketball games, party, sex and random attacks that were portrait in previous books.

Now we have the story starting with Skylah back to the beginning, inside Lucian and Maria's house.
A lot of repetitive scenes and thoughts until nearly 70% of the book when all the whys and becaused started to show up like ants in the sugar pot.

I'm not even in the mood to leave a full review for this series, since that it wasn't really completely enjoyable.

I liked how everyone ends ok, well and happy together. So that's a bonus star.

I will be back for a complete review when I'll be able to free myself from this migraine...
Ok, bye.

That’s it! I’m officially destroyed!

This book gutted me from the first word. I cried, I laughed, I was shook, I rejoiced, I experienced so much in one book that I didn’t think it was possible to even go through all that!

This is the conclusion to Skylar and Slades story and honestly? I didn’t want it to end! In fact I refuse! I’m protesting!!!!

Our badass heroine, shows her resolve and strength in this book. Her resilience is inspiring. To have gone through what she has and yet come out the other side, not only stronger but still full of love and compassion is astounding. Our man Slade puts his heart on his sleeve. His silent strength, determination by Sky’s side and him letting her grow and not put her in a bubble and smother her is, in my mind, true partnership.

We had some heavy moments in this book, but I love how it was light hearted and humorous when we needed it. That ending!!!! Perfection!!!! Some memorable characters in this book for sure! Being transported into this world with detailed imagery and relatable issues and scenarios just leaves you captivated and unwilling to come back to reality!

There is literally nothing bad I can say about this other than the fact it’s over!

I love this series so much.

I feel like I rambled through this whole review, but I’m just speechless and I just love it so damn much and I’m not ready to leave this word!!!!

If you haven’t already, start this series today!!!!

Wow wow wow. This book had me on one hell of a crazy rollercoaster ride from start to finish.
With Slade waking up and finding the Skylah missing, straight from the end of the last book. From here we see so many things happen. With some crazy action that has you soul destroyed and begging for things not to be true.

Plus some amazing soul lifting highs and an amazing epic ending with the best epilogue ever. Totally love Slade and Skylah and so happy their story ended in this way.

Totally recommend I was that gripped I finished it within a few hours unable to put it down.

Esiste?

Real Girl by Sheridan Anne is a dark high school romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray. This is the fourth and final book in the Aston Creek High series.

I absolutely love Sheridan's books! She did a great job wrapping up the series. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Skylah and Slade over the course of the series. It was extremely messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book.

Stefanie and Nathaniel did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you're looking for a dark romance, bully romance, high school romance, or romantic suspense.

What a freaking ending! Real Girl was an amazing and epic conclusion for Slade and Skylah!!! Sheridan Anne held nothing back!

Real Girl was addicting and had me hooked from start to finish. My heart hurt for everyone. Skylah for the situation she was in. Slade for the situation Skylah was in and the fact that he could do nothing to help her. Blake because he could do nothing. I love that Rivers and Noah were in this book. They will always be two of my favorites and I love seeing them. Real Girl was thrilling, emotional, and captivating. I was honestly sad when I got to the end. I just didn't want Slade and Skylah to end and I'm hoping we get more of them in Damon and Nessa books, or even Blake and Luce. I just love all of these characters. Each brought something to this series and helped make it what it was.

Aston Creek may just honestly be my favorite Sheridan Anne series. From start to finish I was hooked. It seemed that she was saving the best for last when she wrote this series because Real Girl I have no words for it. It was everything the conclusion to these two should have been and more.

5 heartstopping stars for Sheridan Anne and Real Girl!

Boooom!! Blown away! I didn’t expect this ending! I knew she wouldn’t let us down with this last book. But OMG my mind is officially blown. I actually had to wait a few days before I could write a review on this book because I felt like I was hungover after reading.

Sky is put through the ringer in this last book. If you did it already know she was a bada** b***h you will see it here.

I’m not gonna give any spoilers but I will say that you will be surprised more then once. Slade is still my book boyfriend, but Skylah of officially my hero. She is one of the strongest characters I’ve ever read and she will go down in history as official queen bada**!

You will not be disappointed in this ending.

P.S we get to see River and Noah! Eeeeeeeeee!

Dobbiamo giocarcela bene. Ci serve un piano o… Merda, non lo so. Dobbiamo pensare a qualcosa, ma correre qui come ho fatto io non serve a niente. Non ci penserà due volte a ucciderla». «Avrei potuto dirtelo io. Oh, aspetta… Te l’avevo detto, cazzo».

Passiamo all’azione.

Whew! Part four & the final book of this series was action packed, contained more violence than the others & kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot was well thought out & exciting, the pace was great & fortunately all nightmarish issues were solved & put to rest. It was so nice to see all the characters move on, their focus geared to a promising future with hope & happiness.
Truth be told, I was tiring of the teen trash talk & also the likelihood of three teens & two other guys taking down a mob boss. Not very realistic, but then fiction, whatever the genre, is supposed to be a form of escapism, so in the end I just embraced it. This series is described as a bully romance, and yes there's the usual high school mocking/drama but I would describe this series more of the horrific journey of a young teenage girl who is strong, tough & spirited, who fights against all odds for her freedom & safety. Slade, the hero, is magnificent, loyal, devoted & the perfect match for Skylah. The secondary characters are lively & add spice to the story. I love a happy ending & this one had a spectacular epilogue.

Skylar will do anything for those she loves even if it means returning to the place and the people she was desperately trying to escape.

Slade knows that Skylar didn’t leave on her own accord, and he is determined to bring her back. With her brother unable to help he contacts an unlikely ally as they attempt to finally bring down the people who caused so much pain in the lives of the people around them.

Drama, suspense and surprises as nothing goes according to plan but that isn’t about to deter Skylar and Slade from their goal or change the love they have for each other. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they allowed us to feel all the angst as well as how perfect they were for each other. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Wow!

What a great ending to this series! I do wish I had a bit more details about slades dad and brother?!? They were mentioned in the very first book but then nothing was ever said about them except his dad being home with his mom once. How do you talk about having a brother in the military and then not a word about him after that. It just seems unreal to me. Other than that though I really enjoyed this series.

Redemption, unconditional love, suspense, drama... couldn't ask for a better ending to this series. This book had all the feels. I held my breath more than once while reading. I fist pumped and squealed when past wrongs were set right. I swooned and shed a few tears over the absolutely beautiful unconditional love between Slade and Skylah. It was the perfect conclusion for this series.

Ahhhh!!!!!!! What an emotional roller coaster! It felt like Sheridan literally was ripping my heart out of my chest reading this book. 21% and I could barely catch my breath.

Real Girl picks up right where we left off in book 3. Skylah had to make a decision and now we are facing the consequence of it, which broke me. Every woman deserves a Slade and Damien in her life. Those 2 made me want to cry, scream and go in the book and fight.

Lucien was the villain of nightmares. Actually, I’m sure Skylah felt like this was a nightmare she could not wake up from. Slade too.

I am so sad to let this characters go. I feel like I’m leaving a part of myself with them and and sad I won’t get to see the rest of their lives unfold for us. A reread will be happening soon!

It was explosive! I'm happy Sheridan was able to capture the rightful ending for this series. Skylah deserves a great life after all the things she went through. One thing I didn't like, is when So it's really disappointing.

I like how life turned out for Slade. He's amazing and the guy deserves a break from Skylah's drama. LOLLL!

Everyone in the book deserves their happily ever after including Shaylee. She was able to learn how to forgive her husband and asked Skylah about what she thinks.

The epilogue has so much to share, I feel it deserves the fifth book in the series.

Thank you Sheridan for listening to your readers. You rock!!!

Conclusion to Ashton Creek....Ugh!

I have loved this series to bits.

So much so, when Real Girl finally showed up in my emails I couldn’t wait to start reading it.

WHAT.A.DISAPPOINTMENT!

This whole book feels like it was slightly rushed.

The writing and the plot were fairly standard.

Just when I thought something exciting and unexpected was going to happen, Sheridan Anne goes and introduces a plot twist/ or character to set everything to rights again...Boo!

Especially the BIGGEST plot twist.
Just when I thought bravo for doing something really brave

(spoiler- Killing off a major character)

She puts things back to normal again...What?

Also Sky...while I was willing to overlook her egotistical, self congratulatory, over self confident personality in the first three books, Her ego (within her self monologues) was off the charts in this book.

As for Slade ....If I had to read one more sentence with him gushing about how beautiful, and fierce, and gorgeous Sky was I would barf!

What a pussy whipped wimp he turned out to be in this instalment.

Also, talking about plots, how obvious was the sudden re-appearance of Sky’s bf Luce. Just in time, so she can be used in the plot to help out Slade and Damian.
Call me physic but I also new her reintroduction was for Blake, and I was correct...Aargh, those pesky epilogue’s when time just fly’s bye...6 months...6 years.

Must say this was also disappointing because I thought (wrongly as it seems) we were going to get a Blake stand alone.

Nope. Not happening.

Oh well...what more can’t I say...I, as a rule enjoy Sheridan Anne’s novels because of her character development and storyline’s, but this one let me down big time...Everything seemed like a plot by numbers for me. Sorry

A struggle

So many plot holes, this book became very hard to read and I skim read a lot of it. I only persisted due to the first 2 books.

A large long running plot hole, who was Daniellas husband and did Slade think he was his dad? Where was he during all of the books, completely missing! That whole plot line was not explained or explored very well at all.

In this book a girl is kidnapped and forced to marry someone in front of a whole church full of people yet the police even from another town (who aren’t under luciens control apparently) do nothing. Then she manages to escape a way she could have done all along after weeks of being held captive just because it suited the storyline.

I also found this series could have been so much better had it been finished at book 3. Frustratingly so many authors are dragging out their series with filler pieces and the story suffers due to it. This series started off well but books 3 & 4 just ended it on a low note.

What did I just read!!

I finished all four books in the series. They were a pretty fast read. The first two books we decent. The third one was okay, but the fourth... TRAIN WRECK.
The whole ordeal would have been more realistic had her family not just kept living life... flirting with nurses, working, getting groceries.... while they knew their sister/niece was kidnapped by her RAPIST and the guy he sold her to. WTF!? No family member would act like that. Disappointed with this.

Wow. I’m not ready for this series to be over. I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of this book. I devoured it in one go, I didn’t want to put it down because I had to know what was going to happen next. What a nail biter. I am super glad things worked out like I was hoping they would. I’m trying not to have spoilers, and it hard because I want to tell what exactly went down. Arg. Read the book, read the series, grab her other series. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

This series was fabulous and the ending to everything had so many twists and turns, it kept me eager to keep listening and on the edge of my seat when I did. Book 4 started off with Sky having to endure her horrible kidnapper again and his equally unhinged wife. Sky has to “get in line” or at least not push back with her upcoming nuptials to the gross associate of Lucien. We also have to see Slade realize that Sky wasnt with him and he then makes some poor decisions that everyone regrets. I won’t spoil it but it has a huge impact on Sky and I felt so bad for her (the narrator did an amazing job with the heartache and pain in that moment, I totally almost teared up!).

If you are looking for a plot line that is realistic, don’t read this one haha. Yes its contemporary but Sky has a lot happen to her and she has to do things that make it a little outrageous if you are looking for it to happen in real life haha. But again this is fiction and I loved it all and don’t care all this violence and death happened to this 17/18 year old. I love Slade and Sky’s relationship. How they fight for each other and think about what the other would think about their decisions. Like they would want the other to fight and all that. I appreciated the side characters even more in this one, especially her bestie from her old life we get to really get to know in this book. I appreciated what she tried to do, what she did for Slade, etc. I loved her HEA in the epilogue and that’s all I will say hehe.

The confrontations were crazy, not gonna lie haha. What happened to all the baddies was intense and crazy but again made for an amazing plot and went by way too fast. I wanted moooore. I was so sad as the audiobook went on because I didnt want to say goodbye to these characters. I am gonna check out the other interconnected series I havent read/listened to yet, since we got a cameo or two in this series. Again, don’t give anything away but you get to see the real baddies come out to play but also see Sky and her loved ones all come together, with some additional help, and take them all down. Also the epilogue was fantastic and made me smile so hard! I would have loved for an epilogue more in their future because I became so invested in these guys. Couldnt give this less than 5 stars ❤️

Narration was great. I still liked the female narrator better than the male. I think the only complaint I could give was the male gave different accents to some of the characters, compared to the female narrator. I think the one that kept happening was to Slade’s bestie. Besides that, the characters did a fabulous job emoting in their performances. So much pain and heartache, but so much tenacity and love. I think the audio elevated this story, it helped me connect with the characters as each book went on. I gave all of these books in this series 5 stars so you can tell I enjoyed each one. you won’t be disappointed if you give this series a short 😊
