They say the gods will accept no small sacrifice. To appease them you must give your all. I’ve sacrificed everything. Lived through loss, and learned to love. To take the beauty with the pain.
The rose with the thorns.
This love story isn’t perfect, but it’s ours. We’ll hold onto it forever. And hope our forever is longer than a day.
The conclusion to this series was beautiful. I loved how Logan took charge in the relationship. He was so gorgeously Alpha when he needed to be. I recommend this series!
Beauty and the Rose is the 3rd book from the Beauty and the Rose series. So we are at the end of this couple's journey and what a journey it has been. Life has not been easy for this couple.
Logan and Daphne have been through a lot in their relationship and just as they have found they're happy ever after. Life takes a turn for the worst. Daphne has been keeping something from Logan that could turn their relationship forever, something she never wanted him to find out. But Logan loves her and will do anything to keep her alive.
This third book is more about love, obsession, sacrifice, and learning to live with the choices we make. There are real feelings and connection in this book. Logan has to remember that Daphne needs him to be her master/man/ and love just as much as her savior.
Fantastic conclusion to this series. This book has steamybscenes between Daphne and Logan. Of course they face more obstacles in their journey to be together. Adam is still an a%$hole. The epilogue is the best part.
>Book Review – Beauty and the Rose >I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd and final in the Beauty and the Rose series and ends in an HEA. Logan and Daphne are now a couple fighting to find a cure for Daphne’s illness before it is too late. Daphne’s health declines throughout the book, showing how difficult it can be to love someone and not just turn the relationship in to just one of a caregiver. I loved how Daphne fought for their physical relationship just the way Logan likes it. >There was a lot more against Logan and Daphne than just the illness. A jealous ex turns deadly, threatening Logan. There is a beautiful wedding and some wonderful Alpha protective moments. The ending was the only reason for my less than perfect rating. Finding a rich man who also owns a private lab was a bit of a stretch. >This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars.
How do you go on when you find out the truth, the down and dirty ugly of your beginning. This last book will have you shocked, pissed, and heartbroken and lastly in love. When all the darkness comes to light and you have that one person that is your safe. The writes have done a remarkable retelling of a fairy tale with this and adding their own bits of darkness.
The characters so full of life and personality and Logan oh yeah he did the dang thang. *smiles* Each page you read makes you want to turn the next page but afraid because you don't want it to end. The story full of rollercoaster emotions, battling life, battling the struggle of not giving up, being the pillar of strength for the one you love. *sighs softly*
If you haven't grabbed the series I recommend that you do. Wonderfully done. Enjoy
This trilogy keeps you on the edge of your seat!! It is dark, and it is wonderful.
Daphne is dying. She was conceived as a lab rat so her father could use her blood to help find the cure for the disease killing her mother. Her mother is long since gone, and now she is dying. Logan headed up most of the early research, and now that he is involved with Daphne, the stakes are higher than ever.
So many struggles, and so many beautiful moments. This story will leave you wrung out, in the best way possible.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Logan And Daphne's Story Takes A Tragic Turn When Battleman's Disease Returns. As They Struggle For A Cure, Familiar Characters Enter The Mix.
This is book three of the Beauty and the Rose series, which is a steamy modern spin on Beauty and the Beast. It follows book one (Beauty's Beast) and book two (Beauty and the Thorns), and is best read in sequence.
For fans, characters in other books by the authors make brief cameos in the story. Marcus and Cora from the Innocence trilogy make an appearance.
To review, the story takes place in New Olympus. It revolves around Belladonna, a research company that was once headed by Dr. Piers Laurel. The company's mission was to find a cure for Battleman's disease, the illness that Dr. Laurel's wife fought. When she died seven years ago, the doctor was overcome by his failure to save his wife and was lost to his depression. The board fell under the influence of conniving Adam Archer, heir to Archer Industries, a billion dollar empire. Adam, along with Logan Wulfe, had conducted research at Belladonna under Dr. Laurel. Adam wanted to shift the company's focus from diseases to cosmetics.
Logan Wulfe, at twenty-seven, had always been rough around the edges. His parents were into drugs more than parenting and he was orphaned at age twelve. He grew up never having felt the love of a family. He did eventually find a mentor, and Dr. Laurel became a surrogate father figure once he began research at Belladonna. He worked diligently towards finding the cure Dr. Laurel sought.
Daphne Laurel, at nineteen, didn't have much of a childhood. Her mother was often sick and her father's sole focus was on finding a cure for his wife. To please her father and help her mother, Daphne devoted herself to her studies. At eighteen, she was nearly finished with her PhD. She spent long hours studying at the lab. It was then that she quietly tried to get noticed by Logan, her first crush.
Logan became aware that Daphne was no longer a child, and as tempted as he was by her, he knew she was yet too young for him. But they spent long hours together in the lab, so they developed a close friendship over the course of a year. But Logan's life took a devastating turn when he discovered Adam's scheme to take over the company shortly after Daphne's mother passed. Logan ended up hospitalized and disfigured, eventually disappearing from the hospital and New Olympus.
Seven years later, Dr. Laurel's daughter Daphne was CEO and her father was in the hospital. Belladonna was struggling. Daphne had just left Logan's castle to check on her father after promising Logan to return to him afterward. She had been held by him for two weeks as part of a mad plot for revenge, but by the time she left they had developed real feelings for one another. Daphne was intercepted by Adam while en route to her father and proposed to amidst a crowd of reporters. Though she never actually accepted, she was incapable of forcefully speaking for herself. She knew immediately how deeply the news would hurt Logan and accepted that he would take it out on her when she returned. Logan owned Belladonna's patents, so she had to face him to try to get them back and save Belladonna.
Logan was devastated by Daphne's betrayal. That she accepted Adam's proposal, his enemy, made it worse. He wasn't sure how many times he could break and still go on. So when Daphne showed up at the castle asking for him to return the Belladonna patents, he planned to make her burn for them. He was the Master, the Beast, and she was his slave. Daphne planned to take the punishment. She hoped the anger would burn out and they could return to being Logan and Daphne.
The couple came to terms again and finally got rid of Adam, but not without tremendous public embarrassment and personal pain. But just as they were finally free, Battleman's disease hit Daphne, an effective death sentence.
Here, Logan learns about Daphne's diagnosis and history with the disease that took her mother's life. History stands to repeat itself as Logan is determined to save Daphne by finding a cure, much like Dr. Laurel before him. Daphne grapples with the relapse of the a disease that crippled her twice before in her childhood. With Daphne diminished physically, she and Logan both struggle with the physical desires that once played such an important part of their relationship. When the couple finally comes to terms with their reality, figures from their past reappear and trouble returns. In the end, the couple earns their happy ending. Hints of a spin-off book about Sebastian St. James, a dark and secretive figure from New Rome, end the story.
Logan and Daphne's story takes a tragic turn when Battleman's disease returns. As they struggle for a cure, familiar characters enter the mix. Logan and Daphne's journey is a steamy story with complex storylines. It is nicely written. The plot is complex (hence the review of books one and two above). The characters are well-defined. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Logan and Daphne. I rate this book four stars.
I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sensuously dark and STEAMY, and full of astounding intrigue; A TOTAL MUST-READ!! BEAUTY AND THE ROSE is sensuously dark, erotic, and breathtaking! It is also so full of romance and suspense that readers will not be able to put it down! When two of one’s favorite Indie authors pair to write, there nothing more exciting or anticipatory for a reader. Waiting for the third part of this trilogy, BEAUTY AND THE ROSE, to be released were full of pandemic stress and the thrill of receiving an early copy! The experience of reading this novel has been totally worth the wait. The reading of BEAUTY AND THE ROSE exceeded my expectations and now leaves me struggling to find the words worthy of expressing the sheer emotion, elation, and triumph I am feeling after reading this most remarkable conclusion to authors Black’s and Savino’s BEAUTY’S BEAST TRILOGY. The main characters of Daphne and Logan are so remarkably well-written, they seem as real as the members of my family passing through the room shaking their heads at how enthralled I am with what I am reading. While I volunteered to read BEAUTY AND THE ROSE with much anticipation, I found it to be everything and more than I expected. Although this is the voluntarily rendering of my honest 5+STAR recommendation, I have to admit to wishing with every breath that I could award more than 5 stars to BEAUTY AND THE ROSE! A word of caution must be given, BEAUTY AND THE ROSE is for mature audiences; so, only readers 18 years and over, please. Beyond that caution, BEAUTY AND THE ROSE is a sensuous romance and a seductive mystery concerning the quest to treat the rare but fictional disease called “Battleman’s,” the deceitful behavior of a man bent on Logan’s destruction, and the blooming of an epic love story between Logan and Daphne. BEAUTY AND THE ROSE is a phenomenal read and I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy today! Happy pages! 😉
This is a wonderful conclusion to an outstanding trilogy & the continuation of the story from “Beauty & the Thorns #2” into the “Beauty & the Rose #3” is smooth & flawless. This excellent romance is a splendid adult retelling of an old fairytale “Beauty & the Beast” with some dark undertones. The well-written plot is suspenseful & intriguing with interesting, complex characters with opposing personalities. There are good scene descriptions & world building throughout the series that will keep the reader’s attention. There is: a young woman (Daphne) with a deadly disease, a vengeful but desperate man (Dr. Logan Wolfe) looking for a cure, a conniving & evil villainous man (Adam Archer), a deceitful but regretful best friend (Rachel), law enforcement, blackmail, drugs, a unexpected ally, intrigue, drama, suspense, twists & turns, action, deceit, betrayal, secrets, threats, danger, violence, conflict, confrontations, treachery, misunderstandings, emotional turmoil, trust issues, confrontations, illness, disbelief, desperation, manipulations, discovery, contentment, love, some steam & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this trilogy to people who enjoy reading this genre but I would suggest reading it in sequence to fully understand the underlying story-line. To be quite honest, I enjoyed reading this series & look forward to more from these talented authors.
Will Logan and Daphne be able to overcome the ravages of the disease and those perpetrating attacks
This is the third book within this series of this trilogy of books that have so far been released, it is a wonderful adaption of the story of Beauty and the Rose. It was been beautifully rewritten and it will completely draw you in and keep you hanging on every word it is a totally absorbing story that leaves you engrossed.
When Logan sees Daphne’s nose bleeding, he believes that the disease may be progressing and that in fat Battleman’s Disease could possibly mean the end of her life and so they are searching for a cure, something that will bring these symptoms under control and that will stave off any future symptoms,
Dr Logan Wulfe has known that what is is like to be treated badly and he as he has learned to live with the scars given to him, the disfigurement that has caused people to look at him as though he is a freak however he has always tried to rise above their petty opinions.
This is a truly wonderful read that will keep you hanging onto every single word waiting to see exactly what is going to happen. Will Logan and Daphne be fortunate enough to get the happy ending they have dreamed of for so very, very long…… I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Part 3 of 3 - Highly recommend this series - Great escape from reality for a while
PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU HAVE NOT READ ANY OF THE PREVIOUS STORIES FROM THE SERIES! This is not a stand-alone story ... it is part of a trilogy and this is the 3rd and final part, so it will contain spoilers, reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc throughout the series.
Last chance .... I will try to keep my comments more general as to not give away any major plot points, but no guarantees, especially if you haven’t read the other two parts.
This trilogy is well written, with defined characters, universe, and storyline. It could have been more complex in the plot or delved more into the mental angst to make it a dark romance as described, but I am glad that the authors didn’t go there. The pain, confusion, focus, etc. of Logan and Daphne worked well as a great escape from today’s reality.
That being said, there are still a couple of elements throughout the series that could be a trigger or offensive to some, including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence (fighting, assault, kidnapping, blackmail, sabotage, consensual / non-consensual acts, etc.)
There are a few grammatical errors throughout, but they are minor, such as “and” vs “an”. In the end, I can say that this will be a series that I will come back and read again, so that is why I didn’t go back and edit previous reviews and gave this 5 stars.
🔥A dark romance trilogy where love isn’t the only transformation!🔥
In “Beauty and the Rose”, Daphne Laurel’s life takes a terrifying turn when she’s taken captive by a mysterious figure—the Beast. But captivity isn’t the only battle she faces. Forced to confront her fears, her past, and the power she never knew she had, Daphne begins to break free from the walls others built around her. Yet, she’s not the only one changing.
The Beast is a man consumed by revenge, survival, and a darkness he believes defines him. But as his connection with Daphne deepens, his carefully constructed world begins to unravel. For the first time in years, he is forced to question everything—his past, his purpose, and who he wants to become.
💼 Workplace romance with high stakes 🔥 Captor & captive tension, forbidden attraction, age-gap romance 💪 Two people learning to fight for themselves—as much as each other 💣 Secrets, betrayal, and an unstoppable connection
With every twist, Daphne and The Beast aren’t just falling for each other—they’re finding the strength to break free from the versions of themselves they thought they had to be. And that HEA? Earned in every way.💖
If you crave intense romance, deep character transformation, and tension-filled chemistry, this trilogy will keep you hooked! Who will you become when everything is on the line?
Make sure you read the first two books before this one 😎
Beauty and the Rose is the third book in the Beauty and the Rose trilogy, and you should definitely read this trilogy in order. Daphne and Logan have finally pushed past their insecurities and found happiness together, but a thorn in her past resurfaces and their future is endangered. Will their happiness survive and their love thrive?
This is a fast paced book, a little shorter than the previous two, but still filled with emotion, love, and quite a bit of drama! I loved getting to see both points of view when it came to the emotions they were going through and how they were processing their future. Daphne was trying to be realistic, while Logan tried to be her rock. I swooned for Logan hard in this book, and he reminded me some of the Logan from the first book. Sweet, considerate, a bit stern at times, and completely protective! Daphne had to be strong a lot in this book, which was so fun to read. While I didn’t love how easily Adam was handled in this story, especially with how much disaster he’s caused several people in this series, but I did love how the ending ties into the original fairy tale we all know and love! I enjoyed this book, I loved the dark retelling of Beauty and her Beast throughout this whole series, and am intrigued about what could come next out of this world Ms. Savino and Ms. Black have created!
Live for today, never give up, love forever Beauty and the Rose (Beauty and the Rose Series Book 3) by Stasia Black and Lee Savino is a very well written book. As the trilogy finale, it is chock full dark elements, strife and obstacles. However, it’s also an amazing demonstration of unending love, persistence, bravery and devotion. Logan is just as dominant as ever, but with a sweeter edge. Daphne is stronger with Logan, but she develops this strength from within. What I really love about this couple is their connection. Their chemistry continues to sky rocket, but as they have fully accepted their love for one another it’s all the more special as they navigate angst and antagonism. Overall, a fantastic finale where karma serves justice for Logan and Daphne so their truly deserving HEA can begin. I absolutely loved, loved, loved the ending! And maybe, this writing dynamic duo will write another trilogy featuring the mysterious Sebastian St James. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
I have loved this series. It is a true Beauty and the Beast remake. Logan now knows that Daphne’s Battleman’s disease is back. He didn’t know she has been in remission. He promises her he will find a cure for her no matter what. He doesn’t want to lose the person he has loved for so long. He will battle everything and everyone who stands in his way. I loved the way Stasia and Lee wrapped their story up. There is more suspense, truths revealed, monsters in disguise, revenge, love and some twists and turns. These two have gone through so much to be together. Now that they are close to getting everything they want, Will something or someone come between them and tear them apart? I loved this story and was hooked from the beginning. I didn’t want to put it down, I just needed to know what would happen next. This story is gripping and the authors just keep you captivated until the end and you will want more. I can’t wait to read what these two authors come up with next. They are a great writing duo and I have loved all of their characters. Snag up this whole series, you won’t be sorry.
This is the conclusion to the Beauty and the Rose series and it is one compelling read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is not a standalone and the books in the series must be read in order. The book picks up where book two left off with Daphne and Logan realizing the awful truth that Daphne may be out of time as she has the disease that took her mother. Logan is beside himself and reacts more like a beast but is more determined then ever to find a cure. As Daphne is physically weakened, she and Logan are struggling with the change in the dynamic that was such an integral part of their relationship. As they begin to accept their new reality, the past rears its ugly head. Can these two have their happily ever after? If you enjoy reading dark romance, then this is one series that must be on you tbr list. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the final book in the Beauty and The Rose Series and the ups and downs, twists and turns are finally brought to full circle. I was on pins and needles as I realized that Battleman's the disease that took her mother's life seemed to be trying to capture Daphne's as well. All Logan and Daphne wanted was time to be together but time seems to be something that don't have. I thought that we had seen the last of Adam Archer in Book #2 but it seems he keeps popping up and doing his best to come between not only Daphne and Logan's love but in their quest to find the cure before it claim's Daphne's life. This is a fitting and edge of your seat conclusion to this wonderfully dark but hopelessly romantic dark fairy tale. I love the writings o Lee Savino and Stasia Black but put them together and you get something so very special. Great trilogy that I know you will love.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
This set is beyond my expectations it has 2 characters that are described perfectly and with Isabella and a loner genius scientist 🧑🔬 who's desperately searching for a cure for a disease that only ends in death She's a young girl when she first meets Logan, the only person who gives her attention and treats her like she matters because her father only wants her to work on the cure for Battletons disease. 🦠 Logan is a scientist as well working with her father including Ascher who is a handsome rich conceited man who hates Logan and lets him know it but when Logan is close too with a breakthrough a horrible flesh eating disease is deliberately infected him eating away most of his face and he disappears from Isabellas life with no explanation from her father Years later with Logan scarred and build like a steam engine 🔥😚 Who has proclivities beyond the pale filled with revenge and the target 🎯 to get it is through Isabella
Can Daphne and Logan overcome the ravages of her disease and those out to get them? This is the third book in the trilogy, BEAUTY AND THE ROSE. Beautifully written, fast-paced and an edge-of-your-seat story. At the end of book 2, everything appeared to be going their way, until Logan sees Daphne’s nose bleeding. They both know the awful truth. This could be her end. After years of working tirelessly to find a cure for Battleman’s disease, first for her mother and now for herself, Daphne may be out of time. This only makes our “beast” of a man, Logan go crazy! Dr. Logan Wulfe was treated badly (read the first book in the trilogy) and scarred for life. For so long he has sought revenge on the one who caused his disfigurement but now he has to help the love of his life, Daphne. Together they appear to be missing one little thing to keep them from the cure. Will they get that cure? Will Logan get his revenge? Will Logan and Daphne get the HEA they both deserve? This was a steamy (not as much as the first one;-), poignant, fist-pump-worthy ending to this trilogy. This was better than book #2 and on par with book #1. I loved it. I read straight through…I just needed to know! I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended.
We pick off right where we left off in “Beauty & the Thorns.” Daphne and her Beast are finally together. By now we all know that the Beast is Logan and longtime friend and forever crush on for both. With Adam being confronted, things are looking up. No they’re not. Daphne is showing signs of the same illness as her mother. This CAN NOT BE HAPPENING. Now Logan MUST find the cure. It is a race. At times you still want to scream at Logan. He does keep losing it when it comes to Adam. Adam is the biggest jerk EVER. I can understand why Logan wants to pound him in to meat. UGH! The clock is ticking on finding the answer to Battleman’s. Do find something that could work? Yes but that isn’t the only issue. We still have Adam and Logan at war. But I think it is more Adam being jealous of Logan. Daphne at times falls into despair of over her fate. You just want to shake her. But she finally figures it out. This book is a rollercoaster. Just when you think it is finally safe, WAM down you go. And you have to love reading about Cora and Marcus. Their life certain has changed. And what is the secret with Sebastian St. James?
Dark version of Beauty and the Beast. End to the story of Logan and Daphne.
This is book three of the Beauty and the Rose series, which is a modern dark version of Beauty and the Beast. This is not a standalone story, so I recommend reading best in a row: to start with the first book (Beauty's Beast) and then read book two (Beauty and the Thorns) and the last one this book three (Beauty and the Rose) in this dark romance series to fully understand their story. After all the hardships Logan and Daphne went through I’m glad that they finally have their happily ever after, a cure for a deadly disease, they marry and have kids. I love that Adam Archer gets what he deserves in the end. The conclusion to this series is beautiful.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This series is spectacular! This is the third book. It is the conclusion to this dark fairytale. This book picks up right where book two ends. In this book alot of questions are answered. You can't help but root for the main characters as they have been through so much and fate continues to throw punches at them. It is suspenseful and be prepared for twists and turns you won't see coming! Daphne and Logan face so much on the their journey. Can they have a HEA? Can their love survive the journey and all of the betrayals and twists? Only one way to find out! Check out this book and the series and discover the answers! It is worth the time! You will be pulled in and then you will not want to put your kindle down till the last word has been read!!! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author and I bought it for my library!
I have loved this whole series, I love the way these two authors write together. I enjoy reading each of them separately but together what they have produced has that little something extra. This book is NOT standalone you MUST read these books in the order they were written to fully enjoy this dark romantic series and fully understand the story.
This is the third book, it's the conclusion to this dark fairytale and picks up where book two ends. In this book, we find the answers to many questions raised throughout. The story is suspenseful with lots of twists and turns I didn't see coming, I loved both Daphne and Logan who have faced so much on this journey, and I so wanted them to achieve their HEA and survive the betrayals they have faced. To find out if they can have their HEA you will have to read this series, I promise if you are a fan of this genre you will not be disappointed.
