I loved this book. It strongly appealed to my OCD organizational mind :).

Most of us face a situations like COVID19 shut down and wonder how do I get through this. While Jamie looks at it and thinks, how do I help others like me through this, cleverly and productively? I loved the way the book was organized into sections that flow into each other nicely. It divides up the suggestions into neat little sections, so you can even skip to the most relevant ones for yourself. The ideas are practical, to the point and thoroughly researched. This is a no nonsense book that gives you exactly what it promises to do... a practical guide to keeping your restaurant open.

I don't own a restaurant, but I have been in the business world for more than a decade that I can recognize a solid business plan when I see it and this was most definitely a solid business plan.

The writing style is simple. It almost made me feel like I was having a conversation with her rather than reading a book. I went through it in one setting.

This is a must for all small restaurant holders. Even the big ones can take a tip or two from it. Well done, Jamie! And thank you for an amazing book.

I Love This Book!
As a home baker, “Kitchen Open” offered me some practical ideas that I have begun implementing during this hard time. The information on marketing is helping to pull in delivery customers which I didn’t have before and is costing me nothing by using resources that are already in place. I love this book and will keep it in my office. This is the perfect guide for the small business person.

This is a wonderful book that will help give any restaurant working hard to keep afloat during the pandemic. Some ideas might be ones a restaurateur has seen, but others surprised me. Some very simple, low-cost solutions that could really add to the bottom line... which every business needs right now.

Highly recommended!

Rather unusual. Despite its main title it does not detail how to keep your kitchen open. It seems the author lacks restaurant experience and is trying to cash in on keywords they deem profitable.

Please do not believe the haters who have left the 1-star reviews! My books have been attacked by other authors and their friends who have not read them (as I know by sale dates and page reads as well as by how they align with particular reviews I've given) as a means of getting back at someone who reviews a lot of books. I am always honest in my reviews and so, therefore, sometimes give low-starred, critical reviews. The 5-star reviews are from Booksprout reviewers who actually read the book!

While this book was meant to help restaurants during the pandemic, some of its ideas for free and low-cost marketing still apply today.

I wrote this book in the early days of the pandemic to help restaurants think creatively. With so many states still in heavy lockdown, it is still relevant 9 months later—I think! If you know anyone in the restaurant industry who is struggling... this book is chock-full of ideas!

Dedicated to my late father, who was a restaurant inspector. I so want to help his tribe during these trying times for restaurants.
