A ruthless ex. An abandoned medical degree. And a woman who will make Daniel forget all that.
Kayla marries Nick when she isn’t old enough to know better. With an ever-ailing mother and co-ownership of Nick’s company, Kayla is too busy to see what everyone else does until it is too late. With no children, an unfinished education, and both the intelligence and drive to move mountains, nothing can stand in Kayla’s way…until the first day of school.
Daniel is hard-nosed, has a chip on his shoulder, and he has neither the time nor the desire for anything other than work. Pre-med and former military, Daniel is the chosen sibling to watch his father post-stroke, adding fuel to his ire, as his already busy life has been put on hold. He’s a loner, hard-working, he’s rich…and he is about as sexy as they come.
Kayla and Daniel have a very awkward meeting….at least on the second attempt. Daniel can’t stand the once-too-forward girl he met when forced to go out with his friends, and Kayla begrudges her friends for forcing her to slip off her wedding ring and party before the ink dried on her divorce papers. Kayla never expected things to end up the way that they did, and if she could take it back, she would. But life’s like that.
Everything is all perfunctory between Daniel and Kayla until Daniel learns something about her that compels him to help her in a way that nobody else can. While she refuses to take the hand that he’s offering her, she soon realizes that when it comes down to it, he is all that she’s got, and he soon realizes that she’s all that he’s ever wanted…he just never knew it. A once-hardened man softens and learns to open his heart, because his heart will take nothing less than hers.
A heartbreaking yet heartwarming love story about what happens in real life when two people are forced together under difficult circumstances. Daniel and Kayla will warm your heart and renew your belief that true love is really out there, even when you’re not necessarily looking for it. Pick up your copy today!
Sandra has been writing poems and short stories since middle school, and writing full length, self-published novels since 2010, using several pen names.
Writing full-length steamy romance series has quickly become a love for this author. Her stories have elements of humor, family issues, suspense and personal growth. Her books take the reader right into the bedroom with the characters to feel the same intensity as the lovers do in the story. Sandra's goal is to have the reader rooting for the main couple...and she doesn't disappoint.
You'll find this author working out weekday mornings at ungodly hours. She's gluten and dairy free, and is probably the only person on earth who doesn't do coffee or chocolate.
Her favorite movie is Bohemian Rhapsody, her favorite tv shows are Friends and The Connors. She's also a die-hard Rocky fan and has read the Fifty Shades trilogy and watched the movies more times than she cares to admit.
Sandra is married with two daughters and is a lover of all things four-legged, including her own two furbabies.
The Ford Brothers series focuses on five swoon-worthy brothers who each served in the military, and lost their billionaire father suddenly, which left them to run his airline after his death. Each book features one brother, but they make appearances in all five novels. In case you haven't guessed, the titles in the Ford Brothers series have been inspired by hazard warning signs, an idea the author came up with after completing a health and safety course prior to starting the series.
The Miles for Love series is about unexpected love, and it features the Lynch family; four brothers and one sister, who are each passionate, imperfect, and are just like you and I...but way sexier and with much more interesting lives. They are very individual and each have a unique story to tell.
The Rock Star Romance series is inspired by the death of Eddie Van Halen on October 6, 2020. It is a standalone series unlike any other this author has written. Look for this series! It's available now!

Well that was a ride. We took a sharp left turn somewhere in the middle that I was not expecting. The end conflict is resolved by... the 70% mark if I'm being generous. The rest is just them banging non stop with the occasional set up for book two.
Our 'hero' hated his brother and was borderline abusive towards him and I never thought is felt justified. It made it really difficult to warm up to him.
There were also so many awkward and cringey things through out. The phrase "A hormone with legs" was used at least six times. The way the men talk in this is disgusting. They were all aggressively misogynistic and it was just gross to read. If it was just one, or even two characters I might be able to get past it but it was so frequent.
I genuinely cannot believe that a book like this has been published. Two things, both of our characters mentally are disgusting like HELLO body-shaming your so-called 'best-friend' calling her obese and that she would be jealous of you is not okay??? Secondly, did people actually find Daniel to be * swoon-worthy*?? His whole personality trait is slut-shaming and being judgemental. I had to DNF, this book killed enough of my brain cells.
What began as a lovely romantic comedy ended up all over the place with unrealistic subplots, and descriptive, erotic sex looking for a story.
The book was written from the POVs of the two main characters, Daniel and Kayla. There's one chapter from the POV of the most distasteful character, Greg, in the book. I hated every sentence of Greg's POV. You're left with lots of WTF moments.
There's somewhat ambiguous and confusing back stories on Daniel and Kayla. Kayla's divorce led to a subsequent night out with the girls and initial meeting with Daniel and his friends. Kayla's drunken actions gave Daniel and his brother and friends the wrong impression. Their later meeting was one of embarrassment and misunderstandings.
The development of the story of her mother and her Nana Grace was moving, touching and heartbreaking. Daniel's back story was more complicated with little clarity. We meet his younger whore dog of a brother, Christopher, who lives with him. We're told about his father, mother and other two brothers and his sister. His family is extremely wealthy. How they became so wealthy is not clearly explained.
After Daniel and Kayla slow walk to having sex, the book changed to one of erotic and descriptive sex with fraud, kidnapping, unplanned pregnancy, etc. All was thrown together in the last 15% of the book with the return of his brothers and other interaction with his family - a clear set up for other books. The book ended at 85%. The rest are ads for the other books in the series.
The love story between Daniel and Kayla is sweet and pretty romantic but is ruined by unrealistic and unbelievable actions of most of the characters in the book. Left with WTF! Not really interested in reading more of this series.
I enjoyed Daniel & Julia's book. Good characters. It was an intriguing read. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
An unrealistic opening scene lead to a sweet, believable love story. The characters had great chemistry with each other. The author took a chance playing with the emotions of her audience in this heartwarming story. Sometimes good things come from something bad.
Sandra Alex has written a 5-star book that has the main characters dealing with their feelings for each other. Julia has just gotten divorced and her girlfriends decide to take her out. She gets drunk and does a dirty dance with Daniel. Thinking she will never see him again she gets a little wild. Julia has enrolled in a Dietician class and who does she see in class but Daniel. They end up working on a project together and decide to start a study group with Greg, Kyle, and Brenda. Little do Julia and Daniel know that Greg and Brenda are not who they think they are. The more time that Julia and Daniel spend together the stronger their feelings become. Things go fine until Greg thinks he can get some money out of Daniel. He goes to Julia's and she offers him some coffee and the next thing she knows is she is in trouble, Daniel has followed Greg and saw his ex-wife and he talks to her, he finds out that Greg is worse than what he thought. When Julia doesn't show up for class Daniel starts to think something is wrong. Can Julia get away from Greg and get back to Daniel? Will Daniel be able to find Julia and save her from Greg? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow I had a great time with this storyline. The characters are well developed and engaging and full of chemistry. I enjoyed the smooth flow of the storyline. Kudos to the author for delivering a great storyline. I loved David and Kyla’s characters they drew me in baggage and all.

Kayla is newly divorced, and finally going back to college, part-time at least. Daniel is former military, and a pre-med student. Their first meeting is less than impressive, and leaves him with the wrong impression about her. They meet again when they're taking the same nutrition class, and he realizes just how wrong he was about her. In the same study and project group, they become friends, and then best friends. I've read fro this author before, and jumped at the chance to read this first book in her new series. There are plot twists and turns that I never imagined, some keeping me sitting on the edge of my seat while biting my nails. Kayla is strong, smart, interesting, devoted to her ailing mother. Daniel is my new book boyfriend - his life is so busy between his internship and classes, and he's also involved with a parent who has health problems, yet he finds time to let Kayla into his life, and then his heart. I found myself rooting for these two from the beginning, hoping that they would see in each other what others see, especially her mother. This is an absolute must read.

This is book one in the Miles for Love series. Meet Kayla, she has made some less than stella choices in her life but she has reached a point where it is time to focus on her. She decides to go back to school and finish her education. Kayla is smart, stubborn and determined, this should be a piece of cake. Or not. Meet Daniel, he is pred-med, former military man that is hard working and successful but has to put life on hold to watch over his father and his health. When these two characters meet, it is not exactly an all out attraction and starry eyes meeting. Fate is determined to bring them together, now just to get Kayla and Daniel on board. This is a well written, heartbreaking journey to finding true love. Enjoy!

I got chills reading the book as well as good laughs. It is such a sweet story. I love how open Kayla is and always looking to the brightside of things most of the time. Daniel is a heart stopper who is honest and blunt to everyone. He did judge Kayla pretty harshly in the beginning. But one could say he was just blinding himself with everything else going on. The incident that happens definitely cemented how they felt for each other down. Meeting unexpectedly and falling for each was a great story to read with all that this romantic story entails. It's a book that you won't or can't put down.
I really enjoyed his book and devoured it in an afternoon. If you're after a love story that has more going on than just the couple then definitely read this book. The characters are really great and I loved the banter between Kayla and Daniel. There are lots of things going on in this book, not just the growing relationship between Daniel and Kayla, and that made it a really interesting read. Daniel is a dream, how he was single is a mystery, he was perfect for Kayla in every single thing he did. I loved how the story didn't end when they got together, but you actually got to see how their relationship continued and developed.
This book absolutely touches the emotions of the reader as we read Daniel and Kayla’s story, heartbreaking at times, but you will still feel the strong love and sizzling chemistry. The story line will pull the reader in as we see Kayla and Daniel denying the depth of their feelings. Fortunately, the all-or-nothing kind of vulnerable friendship keeps them holding on until things finally start to go right, when she realizes he is all that she’s got, and he sees she is all that he has ever really wanted -- he just never knew it until now.
This is an enjoyable read, despite the occasional need for a tissue swipe now and then – probably just allergies. But seriously, this is one you should read and savor. It has all the “feels” and you won’t want to miss it.
I'm still swooning over Daniel and Kayla's love story! I so loved their playful banter throughout the entire book and I loved watching their story unfold. I really didn't want this book to end. Steamy sex scenes, but not an over abundance. I was teary eyed over Kayla's loss and shocked with the characters that were involved in the dramatic twist. A definite must read! I enjoyed Sandra Alex's writing so much, I purchased her Ford Brother series within minutes of finishing this book!!

Kayla thought her lot in life was dumping the husband, getting into school and saving her mom. Daniel thought his being consisted of graduation, getting his medical license and opening his private practice. Wrong, wrong and wrong!
A night out turned into the perfect meeting of love meant to be. Oh did I forget to mention only after extra drinks, dancing and run into with said ex-husband.
Their story is slightly fairytale with just the right amount of tragedy, drama, action and love.
This was really good. I enjoyed this very much. Great story line and page turner. The characters, Daniel and Kayla was so real. You could feel the struggle between the two, but there was also a strong chemistry. Finally they both come to their senses and realize that they really do need each other. My first book by this author. I will be looking for more. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The first book in the Miles for Love series, this is Kayla and Daniel's story. I want to read more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed the book. It's a beautiful romance with wonderful characters. Kayla and Daniel have great chemistry. The storyline included heartbreak and loss along with steamy scenes.
Excelent beginning to a new series! I like Kayla and Daniel - and their sweet story. I love how they meet (and her streeptease😉) I like that every book has not only live, but also some suspanse and twist. Can’t wait to read the story of all Lynch brothers (and sister). Especially Christopher😏
I received an ARC copy and I review it voluntarilly.
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

ONE FASCINATING EXPERIENCE!!! Cheers! Sandra absolutely nailed all of the emotions spinning through this bad boy running rampant, unchecked, blazing this baby together piece by piece flawlessly. Amazing scenario's that punch dead center with such intensity and glittering precision, propelling this bad boy into a tailspin with stunning impacts, blowing this baby wide open. Jumping hoops, hurdling the trials and tribulations that tests our characters in ways they never saw coming. The chemistry builds as each layer is peeled back exposing a growing bond and amplifying affections that catapult this jewel to life beautifully. The characters are authentic, original and realistic with depth and qualities that blend and flow, transforming into approachable personalities. The scenes are so graphically detailed it paints an incredible backdrop that feels as though you're right there with them. Fantastic job Sandra, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story. Sandra has given us a great balanced story with enough curve balls, highs and lows amongst a great deal of love. What more could you ask for??
I seriously loved these two characters. Both Kayla and Daniel were lovely people on their own but put them together and they are perfection.
All the other characters that Sandra has brought into the mix has me very interested in seeing where this series will go.
I loved the Ford Brothers series and Crossing Boundaries is a great first book of a new series.
I received this free copy for a fair and honest review.

In Kayla and Daniel meet at a bar when she is out with her girlfriends celebrating her divorce. Several weeks later they end up in the same college class, become friends.
Greg another guy in the class Is a con artist with Daniel as his target because he comes from a wealthy family. He takes action against Kayla. The plot is exciting and they find a happy ending to Crossing Boundaries.
