Charlotte Nash was born in England and grew up in the sunny Redland Shire of Brisbane. Before becoming a writer, she spent time building rockets and working as an industrial accident investigator (she swears the two were not related). Somewhere in that time, she acquired a penchant for motorbikes.

She now writes women's fiction, romance, science fiction and fantasy, teaches in some semesters, and works in technical writing with fascinating people. She has degrees in engineering and medicine, and a PhD in creative writing from The University of Queensland. She swears she is still fun at parties.

I really enjoy Charlotte Nash’s stories and this one is no exception I enjoyed it from start to finish, the setting is fabulous an island of the coast of Queensland and even though I don’t know a lot about yachting I learnt some things and enjoyed being on the yachts.

Erin Jacobs left Great Haven Island four years ago and has spent that time racing yachts in some of the most beautiful spots in the world, but when her sister Skye begs her to return home, she goes not knowing why and knowing this is going to be one of the hardest things to do with the secret she keeps, What she finds is her old flame, Tristan Drummond back on the island and redeveloping the resort something the island and its small population needs.

Dr Alex Bell is hired to work on the island taking over the practice that Erin’s father used to run, Alex has demons from his past but is loving working on the island he is also loving getting to know Erin, but will they ever move forward with what has happened in their past and with someone else determined to keep them apart.

Erin settles into work for Tristan organizing a regatta but things do not run as smoothly as she would like, Tristian is doing his best to rekindle their old relationship something that Erin has no plans to do especially as she is falling for the new doctor. Things turn dangerous at times for her and Alex and Erin finally opens up about what happened all of those years ago this is a fast paced story with many emotions jealousy, revenge and yes love as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I would highly recommend it to any reader who loves a good story in such a fabulous setting, the island has secrets that are also uncovered during the story which all added to it as well as fabulous characters some I was cheering on one maybe not, it is a great story and the yacht racing was very exciting.

On a Starlit Ocean is about jealousy, greed, revenge and love. Skye Jacobs message her sister, Erin to return home to Haven Island. On the return to Haven Island, she realises that Haven Island was in trouble. Erin Jacobs chose to stay and help even though she needs to work with Tristan Drummond, a man who caused her to leave Haven Island. Tristan wanted to renew his friendship with Erin. However, for Erin restoring the relationship she had with Tristan was not going to happen when she encounters the new Island's Doctor Alex Bell. The readers of On a Starlit Ocean will continue to follow Erin Jacobs, Tristan and Alex to find out what happens.

On a Starlit Ocean is another enjoyable book to read from Charlotte Nash. I engage with the characters and the plot of this book from the first pages and the way Charlotte Nash intertwines another story throughout this book. I love Charlotte Nash portrayal of her characters and the way they interact with each other throughout this book. On a Starlit Ocean is well written and researched by Charlotte Nash. I like Charlotte Nash description of the settings of On a Starlit Ocean that complimented the plot of this book.

I recommend this book.

On a Starlit Ocean swept me up like the tide it so beautifully evokes, equal parts romance, mystery, and emotional reckoning. Charlotte Nash writes with quiet elegance, drawing us into the wind-brushed shores of Great Haven Island where love, grief, and memory collide. Erin’s return home is more than a physical journey, it's an emotional excavation of a past wrapped in loss and silence. The gothic undertones, layered with a simmering love triangle and the unresolved ache of her father’s disappearance, add both depth and suspense. What I found most moving was how Nash portrays resilience, not just in Erin, but in the island itself. This is a story about letting go, holding on, and finding your compass again, even in the darkest waters.

An entirely different story to all others you have written Charlotte Nash, and even better than I thought possible!! So much intrigue, excitement and the wrath of natures fury and extent of her beauty, incredibly likeable (and dislikeable) characters. I could easily write half a book on the other great things about, and reasons to read this book. Instead, I highly recommend that everyone take time and read it, you won't regret it!
I loved it!

Charlotte has written a story that looks at how life can change in an instant and how people react to the change. Erin and Alex both have challenges they must deal with and learn how to trust again. The book captured my attention with how the story was relatable in how family dynamics change people and how they react to life.
