* This book is an edited and revamped novel that was previously published as Heaven Shattered.
My work is infused with relentless furious action and/or paranormal charismata. Contemporary worlds infused with mysticism. Breathless, brain-twisting plots. High stakes suspense that churns the psyche.
But ultimately it is knowing and experiencing the lives of people that provide the impetus of Stories that Grip the Soul.

It's not as good as the first book but is full of action, focussing on the snake as a weapon. It goes back in time to when Master Wu started his journey. I like the characters. The story is a bit far fetched with too many fight scenes and not enough character development, though. The story will continue and I will read the next books. Worth reading.
Although this book is full of non-stop action, it takes a long time to plot the story and take it to a drawn out climax. Noah loses all of his friends except for Sam. He picks up one new friend. At this rate he won't have anyone left by the time he faces Chin's last kid
For me the story was a difficult start with so many names and characters crowding the first few chapters. How the book soon settled into an exciting take with many twists, turns and bloody explosive events right to the conclusion and the suspense of awaiting developments in the next book.
Wow. There is so much action in this book! So many intense situations and close calls. I am certainly looking forward to the next book. There was a very tantalizing phone call at the end. I loved reading this and had a hard time putting it down!
Chin lives through a fire where everyone thought he was dead. He summons his children and King goes to get his father's ill gotten money from Noah Reid and Master Wu. Lisa is King's girlfriend and she gets close to Reid and Wu. She makes Wu sick to try to make Reid give the money to King. They are unaware Lisa is working with Reid. This novel has a lot of action to keep you reading.
