AUTHOR'S NOTE
Falling For Home is a sweet, clean, contemporary western romance set in the beautiful Badlands of South Dakota. This is the first of a four-book series following the Davies siblings in their search for love. Come join Jesse, Steve, Chance, and Stella on their journeys to find love.
Falling for Home is a free copy I received from Voracious Readers. It sounded good at the time but I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would. The writing was a bit odd in that it seemed like it would switch between POVs at weird times and it was very paragraphy. It did not have enough dialogue for me. The timing of the story spanned over years but you’re not really sure how many years go by. I also felt like we learned A LOT about jesses siblings that could have waited to be read about in their own separate books since this is a series. Jesse and Kelly are from the same town and have always been together; until Kelly goes to college and doesn’t seem to have much time for Jesse anymore. Jesse is still on his parents ranch helping out and not feeling like he’s doing enough. This is pretty much the story of these two being together and then breaking up to find themselves and then eventually coming back together.
This was a sweet story and was a nice pleasant, easy read.
You couldn't help but fall in love with Jesse. Such a sweet guy with a heart of gold. It was great to see him visit his sister and grow as a person and more determined in what he wanted out of life and to follow his passion. His love for his family was great and always enjoy reading this type of love.
In the beginning of the book I wasn't sold on Kerry but then she also needed to follow her heart and go for her dreams as well.
The ending was as expected but was still a nice journey to get there.
This was my first book by Kim and she has done a great job. A nice easy flow to the story and to get you invested in the characters is always a talent as not everyone can do it.
I received this free book in return for an honest review.
I received a copy of this book from voracious readers and I really enjoyed reading it. The plot was well paced and had the right amount of description. The relationship between Kerry and Jesse was beautiful and intriguing. I really enjoyed being absorbed into this western love story because it was very evocative. I could hardly put the book down. I would absolutely recommend this book to people who like cowboy romances.
Falling For Home sucks you in with a richly described settings and believably flawed characters. In a world that is becoming increasingly chaotic and demanding, Kim Smart's writing tells a more heartfelt story by taking it's time. If you're looking for a good clean romance to cozy up with during this quarantine, I highly recommend this one.
I am not a reader, as comprehension is difficult, but not with Kim's books. Perhaps because I know something of the area she writes about? I highly recommend everyone to read her books.
I enjoyed her books so much! I can hardly wait to read more. I would like Amazon find a better way to mark the order of the series.
Sweet romance. Kim Smart did a great job of developing characters and setting the scenes. I appreciate how she accurately portrayed what it is like to go away from a love and remain behind while a love goes away. Throughly enjoyed this romance

A western romance with great characters who finds themselves growing from kids to adult and how love changes over time . . If you enjoy this type of clean romance books grab this one. You will enjoy it.
I received a free copy from Voracious Readers to review. I really liked the characters and the whole premise of the book. I did, however, find that it felt quite rushed and the plot line would leap forward suddenly with no context. I also felt the there was more detail in some of the side plots about the siblings which were very interesting but seemed unnecessary (I'm sure those plots are in their own spinoff books). An okay read.
