Cheng Huan woke up and had transmigrated as the villainess female supporting character in a novel.
The female supporting character was very money-loving and used her own son as a chip to try and get into a prestigious family. Finally, the child died in an accident and the female supporting character also met her tragic fate.
Cheng Huan, who had been single her entire life, looked at the teary-eyed little boy next to her, let out a sigh of relief, and picked up the heavy burden of being a mother.
As the days went on go, the legendary child’s father showed up spontaneously!
Cheng Huan: I really don’t want to be the third wheel in your relationship!!
The spontaneously-appeared male lead: ….but there is nobody else.
Another transmigration novel finished. So this is the story of Cheng Huan who transmigrated on a book she recently read. She became Cheng Huan, a cannon fodder and a mother of a 4 year old boy named XingXing. This is her story as she try to take care of XingXing and how she met the ML of the book Jiang MingYuan who is also the father of XingXing.
This is leaning more like a slice of life format of the three main characters. What I love about the book is the character XingXing. He's so cute and funny and naive. His character is very refreshing. I really enjoyed reading his scenes. The extra chapters about him are really funny.
The plot and pacing is decent but this was a slow read for me. A lot of one dimensional secondary characters. The good thing is that there isn't a big conflict, only just a few minor ones thrown in.
The romance was slow burn and I guess it was okay. The story felt bland for me. The only sunshine in the book was XingXing.
Overall a so-so read. The transmigration wasn't a huge part of the story.
Cute slice of life romance. Great for an afternoon’s escape. Some stories could have been expanded on (especially her son story on the abrupt ending) but there was no pointless drama and it has a nice ending.
I have to agree with translator that these extra chapters for “Shen Xi" is unnecessary. It would be different matter if the author never changed the narration of her past (from a good hardworking student who want to change her fate into a poor stupid student who's lazy and only know how to play), as it could be a redemption story. Rather than her body, Shen Xi really needs to change her brain and personality. I saw her as someone who always seek out others hardworking earnings than making her own fortune.
I also really like these last chapters of Xingchen’s tidbits. So hilarious, ridiculous, light, and sweet that it washed away all the negativity. Pretty sure Xingchen could have his own individual stories... The extras made it looks interesting enough to read.
As I've read a lot of this kind of novel (transmigration), I already expected I'll be out of stock one day or still meet some of them but not that good either. Here it is what I mean, it's just an ok light read, most of the times boring, i skipped a lot chapter in this one and still understand the context of the book. If you don't have anything to read, might as well try this.
This was good.
