I have always been intrigued by the supernatural. I whole heartedly believe in ghosts, demons and things of the sort and have always thought it would be cool if there was a town where these entities and humans interacted. Over the course of about 3 years, I compiled enough thoughts and ideas as to how this town should and would be and that's how I wrote "The Town of Skorkin".

I actually really liked the concept of this story. The idea of interplanetary travellers is intriguing. I haven't read anything like this before and the original idea is refreshing.

So those are the things I liked; now, the areas where I think this could be improved are:
1. The language used is very repetitive. It makes the story difficult to read at times and boring at others.
2. This book needs to be edited. There are dialogue mistakes, typos, punctuation errors, etc. All of these would be improved with a good editor. Come to think of it a good editor would also help with 1.
3. This story doesn't really end it just stops. There are no real defining points in the story. I couldn't point to a climax per se.
4. This story would be well served to have a bit more explanation of certain aspects of the world. I feel the author did try to give explanations of what the characters were witnessing and how they were interacting with things but this could have been a bit more detailed.

So overall I did enjoy the concept of this story and I think with a good editor this story would have been much more concise where it should be and more detailed and descriptive where needed.

If you choose to read this story I hope you like it.

Happy reading.
