Every Little Piece of Me

Rate this book
An unlikely meeting after a decade apart, a drunken Vegas wedding, a note goodbye, a broken second chance at love . . . and the wedding invitation that changes it all.

The first time I saw Brinley Knox, she was crying and heartbroken at her own sweet sixteen party. The daughter of the wealthiest family in Orchid Valley, she was off limits to someone like me—the teenage charity case, the hired help.

But that didn’t stop me from kissing her. Or from promising if she were ever mine, I’d never let her go.

The last time I saw Brinley Knox, I made good on that promise. Forget that it was the first time we’d seen each other in ten years, or that we were drunk in Vegas when we said I do. I meant every word, every touch, every promise.

The problem? When I came back to the hotel, she was gone—the ring I slipped on her finger and the note she left behind the only reminders she had been there. Well, those and the hole she left in my chest in place of my heart.

We haven’t spoken in the six months since, and I’m not the kind of guy who’d file for a divorce he doesn’t want.

But when I get the invitation to her wedding to another man, it’s time to return to Orchid Valley and remind the bride-to-be that I’m a man who keeps his promises.

Every Little Piece of Me is a sexy, standalone second-chance romance in Lexi Ryan’s all-new Orchid Valley series.

"Let go of the relationships that cause you only pain. We make our own family."

This has been the first book I ever read by Lexi Ryan. While I have a few others TBR on my Kindle, the name of the book and the cover really caught my eye. And so I gave it a go.
So happy I did - Lexi Ryan has an amazing writing style and I'll be reading a lot more of her books!

Marston is the amazing book boyfriend we all wish we could have. He's the romantic type, the caring type, the sexy-as-hell type *swoon*... and he goes after what (or who) he wants, especially when she's someone he can't forget about.
Brinley... I honestly disliked Brinley for about half the book. I could only see her as self-absorbed and whiny, ... and I wanted to slap her a few times. But then this changed, and I guess I was able to see life through her eyes a bit more. And her story is kind of heartbreaking in its own way.

"When you came into my life, you saw me when no one else bothered."

Being privy to their relationship both in the present and in flashbacks really helps you understand both of them more. These people should have been together and stayed together, but life has its own plans for all of us, and not all of them are good.
Still, 10 years later, it's like nothing changed - and the love they shared as kids is still there, and it's so heartwarming!

In the end, it's really all about my first quote. We make our own family.
It can be a group of friends we can rely on for anything, or it can be that one person we're not willing to let go and who really does have every little piece of you.

So looking forward to the next book in the series!

So I finished Every Little Promise and I was so emotionally invested in the story of Brinley and Marston. I immediately had to dive into Every Little Piece. I needed to know what happened in Vegas and how Marston was going to get Brinley to call off her wedding.

There was also the ten year old secret that was between them that I had so many questions about. Having this book told in present tense with chapters flashing back to their past had me feeling the depth of their connection as much as the chemistry. But having it told in dual point of view made this story perfect.

If not for the dual point of view I probably wouldn't have liked Brinley very much. Because the decisions she made all through the book and in both times would seem selfish and cold if not for knowing exactly what was propelling her to make those decisions.

I call dibs on Marston. Every single thing he did was so transparent and was done with nothing but love for Brinley. And even when she made choices and decisions that broke his heart he still went above and beyond to do the right thing for Brinley. He was just beautiful and I couldn't get enough of him.

I would have loved to get more of them together once all of their issues were resolved. Especially with their friends and family all on the same page. But knowing that we are getting Stella's story next hopefully we will get a whole lot more of all these guys. I loved the story and couldn't put it down from the first page. Which is what I knew to expect from a Lexi Ryan book.

Every Little Piece of Me was a beautiful second chance romance.

You first get a glimpse of Brinley and Marston’s history and the events that led up the start of this novel in the prequel Every Little Promise. It explains what truly happened in Vegas and how these two ended up married.

The relationship between Brinley and Marston has always riddled with complications since they were teenagers. A forbidden young love that never had the chance to fully blossom, these two seemed fated to either end up together, or be torn apart by their own doing. They each had a hand into why they stayed apart for so long, and it was clear as day that their lack of communication was the biggest reason their problems kept repeating themselves.

This book handles a lot of heartbreaking and very emotional themes within the story and combined with the characters’ history, these issues are what drives the story forward. Seeing as both characters had their own fair share of faults, I couldn’t help but feel like Brinley was the one not stepping up to the plate and owning her bad decisions. Constantly seeking approval from her parents, or always trying to make everyone else happy, she never saw what or who was right in front of her…Marston. He bent over backwards for Brinley, and it continually felt like what he did, what he said, or who he was never seemed to be good enough for her. Granted, I will give the girl credit for doing whatever it took to accomplish her dreams, even if I don’t agree with her methods. I just wished she had opened her eyes earlier as to what she was actually doing and how her actions and poor decisions affected those around her.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a great read and it builds excitement for the continuation of the series. I loved all of Brinley and Marston’s friends, so I can’t wait to see what’s in store with their own HEAs!

My Thoughts
This was another super angsty and steamy romance from Lexi Ryan!! I love how much drama and tension she weaves into every one of her romances. Her books are always the most binge-worthy breaks from the real world - which is definitely what I need right now.

However I do have some mixed feelings about this book.

Brinley was such a strong and independent heroine (almost to a fault)! I loved how she fought to stand on her own and go after what she wanted. Sometimes her choices drove me completely bonkers but I feel like that made her even more realistic - albeit a little unlikeable at times. I really enjoyed the exploration of wanting to please people who have hurt you or don't deserve your effort. Brinley had a very tenuous relationship with her parents which caused a lot of mistrusting tendencies.

There was an absolutely amazing female friend group in here! I love when books include really supportive and empowering female friend groups. These woman were there for each other at the drop of a hat and I was living for it. I absolutely cannot wait to get all of these women's books!

I wanted to love Marston. I really, really loved him in the prequel but I felt like we didn't get enough of his personality in the book. He was just a alpha guy constantly reminded Brinley that she married him once so they should obviously be together. So much of their relationship was based on feelings they had for each other 10 years ago and I wish we got more time to see those feelings explored as adults.
While I loved the story line of Brinley trying to get out from her parents (and her fiancé's) thumb, I felt like so much time was spent there that we didn't get a lot of growth in the MC's relationship. I loved their chemistry but beyond the physical, I didn't really feel they had a strong relationship base. I just wanted more time with them getting to know each other as adults.

Overall this was a really great start to a new series! I loved this town and these characters and I can't wait for all of their stories!

What..a disappointment. It hurts me to say it, because I adore The Boys of Jackson Harbor series.

I love Lexi Ryan's writing and her characters but unfortunately this one didn't work for me. First of all the novella prequel was also in this book so it did wasted time that could've been used to develop better their new relationship.

I love second chance romances but this was just too confusing. I did love their flashbacks and what the themes were talked about. I didn't like their present scenes. There was too much unneccesary drama. And so much inconsistency.

I think the main issue I had with this book was that it told you things so many times without actually showing you. We were supposed to believe things that we didn't see.

I loved the girl friendships, the found family conversation, little Cami and some scenes were really steamy and the chemistry was on point. But yeah overall I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.

I still plan to read other books in the series because I loved the girls and some tropes might work better.

Every Little Piece of Me is a wonderfully written second chance love story. Brinley and Marston are childhood sweethearts. Brinley is the daughter of a rich family and Marston is the hired help. A relationship between them is forbidden and eventually she ends things breaking both their hearts. Fast forward 10 years they meet and Vegas and share a passionate night together and end up married to another, only Brinley doesn’t remember and is planning to marry someone else. Marston is not having it and begins to plan to make her remember. Boy, did I love Marston. He is the perfect, swoony hero that I love in a romance novel. He is patient, kind and loving. Brinley on the other hand grated on me at times, she was often stuck in her own head and had a hard time speaking up for herself. This couple has a hard road ahead to get to their HEA but the story telling was gripping and kept me wanting more. Overall I loved the Orchard Valley Crew and look forward to reading more books in this seres in the future. 4 STARS.

I'm disgustingly disappointed 😣

Brinley did NOT deserve Marston at all!!! He deserved someone so much better and who was not selfish.
He did and would do anything for Brinley and I felt he didn't get anything back, it was a one way street 😔 my heart broke for him.

She had a kid with OM who wasn't even the fiancee (Julian) or Masteron (hisbad) but a bully from high school.....like wtf

At about 45% I had officially given up and skimmed a lot to see the end.

I give the author props for making me feel but this trope is just not for me.

I feel bad giving a low rating because the H deserves more but I'm pissed off and annoyed with the rest 😡

If you’ve been following my reviews or me, for any length of time, you might now Lexi Ryan is one of my favorite humans. I don’t have that many so do with that info what you will …. But that really has zero to do with why I am always in awe when I read one of her books. She’s talented with the words. That’s why I’m in awe. She hits me in all the right #feels every.single.time. There have been times where I may not have liked where she took a story but that’s on me. She is incredible at layering her stories with the exact amount of timing and pace a story needs to unfold perfectly. She is the queen of character growth and maturity in a story. No one can touch her skills when it comes to twisting stories into pretzels that keep you blinking and guessing to the very end. Not in any kind of dark way, more like in a deeply emotionally investing kind of way.

I have never not loved a town/family/series/individual/all the things in a Lexi Ryan world She is imaginative and creative and thorough and again, a wizard with words. Her story-lines are meaningful and fill of purpose. Her plot-lines are intertwined into a story perfectly. Her characters are relatable and realistic. There is always at least a few AH HA! and a few more wait, what now? (lol) moments in her story-lines so they are never mundane or boring. They are fresh and unique in a way only Lexi can bring to life.

Brinley and Marston have history. History that is not all rainbows and gumdrops. At this point I should tell you it’s really a very good idea for you to download Every Little Promise before you read this book. It’s a prequel to this story and it will give you the history to understand how Brinley and Marston got to where they are today.

Man, you guys, I want to tell you SO much about this story but …. *sigh* This might be Lexi’s best work kids and I’m not even going to tell you a little bit about why LOL Okay, maybe one thing … Brinley and Marston both are going to camp out in your heart and never leave. Neither one perfect, both with faults they bring into this tale that will endear them to you. Everyday people you could be friends/family with. There’s struggles and your struggles. I walked in the shoes of this story easily. I’ve always been able to do that to some degree with Lexi’s stories, but this one was a step above the rest. That may be because it’s the introduction to a series so everything is vivid and new and exciting, but I think it’s a lot more that she created characters I not only can root for, but want to root for and cheer and applaud and do all the things! GAH!

I don’t think I have ever looked forward to a series by Lexi as I am this series. This book not only had its story, but it also began the story of Orchid Valley and I am stoked!!

Every Little Piece of Me was an enjoyable read featuring a great second chance romance.

Marston Rowe has been in love with Brinley Knox since the day they met at her sweet sixteen party. But Brinley came from one of the wealthiest families in Orchid Valley while Marston was the hired help so their romance was doomed from the start. After ten years apart, Marston runs into Brinley in Las Vegas and is determined to win her over. When their one night leads to them getting drunk and married, Marston thinks he finally has everything he's ever wanted. That is until he returns to the hotel and finds Brinley gone with just a note and the ring left behind. For six months Marston lets the situation ride but when he receives a wedding invitation for her marriage to another man, he realizes it's time to return to Orchid Valley and win back his wife.

The premise of Every Little Piece of Me intrigued me and I wondered how the author would explain Brinley getting married again while she was still married to Marston. I thought the explanation was a good one and it was interesting watching everything play out after she learns the truth. I will admit I was a little apprehensive going into the book though as I wasn't sure how long Brinley would remain engaged to the other guy and I was afraid the situation would feel like cheating. Thankfully that aspect of the plot was resolved fairly quickly so I was excited to see things play out between Brinley and Marston.

The connection between Brinley and Marston was so well done and I loved that we got flashback chapters so we could see how their original relationship played out. The flashbacks were heavier than I was expecting at times so fair warning that they involve some heavy topics. I liked getting to see Brinley and Marston get to know each other again in the present and that their relationship didn't immediately pick right back up. The two clearly still had issues to work out after how they left things ten years ago, not to mention their current predicament, and I thought that aspect was handled well. Their relationship did hit a bit of a snag near the end due to the pair not seeing a situation in the same light but I was happy with the way they managed to resolve things.

Overall Every Little Piece of Me was a great read and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series, Every Sweet Regret, soon.

Gah, I love second-chance romance!! And Every Little Piece of Me had me hooked from the first moment I read the blurb!

“It’s not every day you’re invited to your wife’s wedding . . . as a guest.”

I had to find out what happened, how Brinley and Marston got to this point. How in the heck was a wedding in the planning stages when Brinley was already married!?

And how in the heck Marston was going to show Brinley exactly what he meant when he told her he always keeps his promises.

I so enjoyed getting to know Brinley and Marston. To learn their back story, to learn just what happened ten years ago that set them on this path. There’s so much more to their story—their romance than what’s going on currently. And so much that they have to work through to really ensure that they can have the future they both want desperately.

I loved seeing them battle it out—fighting for what they wanted. And ultimately fighting for each other and their love and their future. Every Little Piece of Me was a terrific start to the Orchid Valley series and I can’t wait for more! ~ Missy, 4 stars

Brinley was the little rich girl and Marston was a poor boy from the wrong side of the track. They were in love until she sent him away. Years later they meet up again...was it by chance? They have a wide night in Vegas and she wakes up with a diamond on her finger. She runs home and gets engaged not knowing that the ring was a wedding band. Marston comes back to town and drama ensues. Her parents are a real piece of work. I just wanted to slap them. They both have amazing friends and I see sparks flying between several of them.

Did I mention I hate her fiancee and don't want him to ever get a book?

Not a fan of this book at all. It seemed that all the men in this book were awful except Marston. And Brinley was just a doormat for said men. She wanted to be independent and do things for herself, yet NEVER did. EVERYTHING was taken care for her by these horrible men. And she never said a thing. Until Marston wanted to help her. Then it was "you can't just give me things". Ugg. And why would she even care one little bit about doing what her parents wanted?? He father was the worst offender in his treatment of her. Gross. No thank you!

This is a great story about second chances. Brinley Knox and Marston Rowe met in high school, but she was from the wealthiest family in Orchid Valley and he was a servant (a low life to her parents). So they ended up being separated for various reasons and ten years later they bump into each other in Las Vegas and it's as though they'd never been apart in many ways; however, things were very complex because even though they got married during a drunken stupor Brinley had a huge secret she was keeping from Marston.

I loved their characters, Marston being so totally in love with her and not holding back nor understanding why Brinley would be doing the things she is. They had a lot to overcome and one of those things was whether or not Brinley was simply embarrassed by him as her family had made him feel like he was 100% unworthy ten years previously.

Love overcomes in most situations in life but not all.

[Thanks Netgalley for the ebook. This review is my honest opinion but just another opinion, you should read this book and judge it by yourself]

Obrigada.

2nd chance romance at its finest.
After reading the prequel of the Orchid Valley series I knew I was in for one hell of a ride with this book and that's exact what I got. Brinley is so stuck under her family's thumb that she can't see and accept what's in front of her. Shes been in love with Marston since she was a teenager. She was from a rich family and he grew up in a completely different environment but that didn't stop her from falling in love with him despite what her family thought of him. They kept the relationship a secret until a family tragedy caused Brin to push Marston away. After meeting up 10 years later in Vegas they get hitched but Brinley can't remember it and plans to marry someone else as part of a marriage of convenience rather then for love. The shit hits they fan when Brinley invites her "husband" to her wedding. Omg drama drama drama. This book had it in spades and I loved it. It was great to go back and see snippets from the past of Brinley and Marstons life together and to see why things went the way they did. The character in the story were really fun and I can't wait to see what's in store for them down the line in future books. The only one I had trouble warming to was our main lady but that's just personal preference. What a great start to the series. Can't wait for the next one

I always enjoy Lexi Ryan's books and Every Little Piece of Me was definitely no exception.

Brinley and Marston's relationship is complicated, to say the least. This is a second chance romance. However, it contains flashbacks to their high school years when she was the little rich girl and he was basically the hired help. The tables turn a little later on when they meet up again as adults and it gives the story an interesting feel. There are a few surprises in store for the reader to keep things lively.

Brinley's choices frustrated me a little but I also see why the author chose to write her character the way she did. Marston is pure perfection as a male lead. There's not much to not love with him...he's a great character. He only cares about giving to those he cares about and his worst offense is that he may show his love too much. He has a definite battle ahead of himself when he tries to win Brinley's back to a "forever status."

I really enjoyed getting to know the other secondary characters as well. The beautiful thing about a Lexi Ryan series is the excitement about looking forward to the next book/story where you learn even more about the characters and get to see their ultimate happily ever afters.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

All the feels in this truly wonderful second chance romance.
Well hell! After reading the prequel (which is in fact at the beginning of this book), I was all over the place. I knew it wasn’t going to be a straight forward happy ending, but I wasn’t prepared for the angst, the drama, and the wtf moments. To begin with I wasn’t happy with Brinley, she wasn’t the spoilt little rich girl she was made out to be, but she also wasn’t the independent woman she thought she was. I was possibly a little jealous because, Marston Rowe! He was the ultimate boyfriend, I mean, truly perfect, and yet I felt that she pushed him away at every opportunity. I wondered at one point if he could be considered a pushover and a little weak, but I realised that no, he was just that much of a good guy. And don’t even get me started on Brinley’s family. Despicable. A truly wonderful, sexy, emotional second chance romance. I was rooting for Marston and Brinley from the first page. Add in all those wonderful friends, and of course Cami, who I loved, what a sweetie, and this book was a firm Favourite for me. Hands down, 5 stars. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Such a compelling second chance romance! I'll be the first to admit that second chance romances are often difficult for me because there are always questions about the relationship that pull me out of the story, but this was written so well that it was engrossing, complex, and interesting throughout. The heroine is not my favorite, but our hero more than makes up for that with his heart and determination. I knew after reading the prequel that this couple was going to have an angsty, emotional ride to happy ever after but that the struggle would be worth it - and it definitely was. Lexi Ryan's writing is so good that I didn't even have a major problem with a couple of tropes that usually trip me up, and that's a definite compliment to her skill.

I strongly recommend reading the prequel before diving into the full-length book, because it gives a lot of insight into the relationship and details the events of their night in Vegas. Essentially, Marston and Brinley and two people who come from very different families, and they made a relationship work in secret during their teens, but grief and heartache ultimately brought an end to them. Ten years later, they reunited for one night in Vegas and it was a very important night for both of them. For Marston, it reinforced his love for Brinley and is the catalyst for his determination to pursue her. For Brinley, it reminded her that she loses sight of her family's expectations when she's with him. Six months later, and these two reunite again... because Marston has received an invitation to Brinley's wedding to another man.

Not gonna lie, this is one complicated relationship and their journey to happy ever after is not without its bumps in the road. While I really, really loved Marston, I wanted to throttle Brinley for most of the book. She's engaged to another man for a significant portion of the story, so keep that in mind before reading. It's frustrating and emotional, but all serves to make for one interesting read. There are parts of this that are so good that I was leaning towards a 5-star rating, and other things that irritated me so much that I considered lowering my rating to 3 stars, but I was engaged throughout. It's sort of a torturous slow burn, if you will - this one is definitely for angst-lovers. Ultimately, I enjoyed the story quite a bit and was reminded of all the reasons why I love Ryan's writing. Looking forward to seeing what's next from this series. I received an ARC via Valentine PR and am voluntarily leaving a review of this emotional second chance romance.

I was really anticipating this book after reading the prequel but, couldn’t finish it because I totally lost interest. What made me lose interest was how indecisive Brinley was about marrying Julian for convenience, gaining access to her trust fund and a business deal for him, and her feelings for Marston. He returns to town to get her back and inform her that she’s married to him. Marston finds out that Brinley has a daughter. He goes to talk to Brinley about the child he just learned about. He finds out that the child is not his and Brinley turned into a little whore after he left town. This made me lose even more interest because one of the many guys that she gave herself to was an arrogant asshole who treated them both like garbage. This arrogant asshole is the father of Brinley’s daughter. I really hated that the author turned the main character into a little whore, even if she was going through a lot at the time, she could have written a better way of having Brinley deal with her pain and emotions. And for her to get pregnant so soon after Marston left means that she was a whore for about a two week period. I hated even more that the child’s father was an arrogant douche bag asshole that Brinley should have continued to keep at a distance. This book disappointed me on so many levels.

I loved this second chance romance. From the moment that I read the blurb about the hero receiving a wedding invitation from his wife, I knew that I needed to read it. From the very beginning of the prequel I knew I was going to not only love the story but love Marston Rowe as well. We start from the beginning where Marston and Brinley met and how the rich girl and the boy who was considered the hired help, started a friendship which turned into more.

When Brinley and Marston met, he was 18 and she had just turned 16. They formed a friendship that was unlike anything that Brinley had before. While people may have seen her as the rich spoiled girl, she was anything but. She was going through a lot at the time that she met Marston and he seemed to be the only one that really saw her. And that is what made their relationship so special. But at some point Brinley pushes him a way, at a time when she probably needed him the most. While he didn’t want to leave her, she did her best to make him leave.

It’s ten years later and they run into each other in Vegas. They spend one night together, and they bother remember what it was like to be in each other’s arms, and to love the other. Six months later Marston gets a wedding invitation for Brinley’s wedding, which make him mad and confused at the same time. Why, you ask? Because she is married to him. He needs to go back to his hometown and figure out what is going on and then he needs to prove to her that they do belong together and that they can make this work. It won’t be easy, but he is determined!! Will she go through with the divorce and continue with her plans to marry?

I loved this book. Marston is that guy that every girl dreams of being with. Even from the moment they met he was just a good guy, despite his reputation. He didn’t have the best life growing up, but he has made a name for himself and has always been a good person. He feelings for Brinley were so deep and just melted my heart. I loved seeing the flashbacks between the two of them. There was so much to their story when they were younger, and I loved that Ms. Ryan gave us those moments. I loved Brinley but at times she frustrated me but that is also the part of this book that make for great angst and drama. I loved every minute of this book. It is the perfect beginning to a new series, and I cannot wait for more.

The prequel pulled me into the story of Brinley and Marston, so I was happy to be able to continue their story here.

I loved Marston. He felt like he had to prove himself even as an adult to a community that judged him harshly as a teen. He may have left Orchid Valley, but he couldn’t forget Brinley even after all this time. He has never had the same connection with anyone else, but has stayed away from OV at Brinley’s request. But now that they’ve reconnected, he may need to make a trip back and fight for Brinley.

Brinley was a little harder for me to love. She wants to own the Orchid, the spa she manages, so badly and is close to being able to purchase it. She is comfortable with the direction things are going, if a little hesitant to take those final steps. She wants to do things on her own, to the point that she pushes away the people around her when they want to help. Her actions had me shaking my head at her, recognizing the why behind her actions, but also recognizing that she could have made things so much easier for herself with a little more open communication.

This is a dramatic second chance with a lot of heart. I did finish with the thought that this was a lot of angst for fully adult characters (there was actually less angst in their teenage relationship than there was in the present day), but I was fully invested in their story. I loved their past -- it had me rooting for them hard in the present. The side characters were a blast, even some of the ones I thought I didn’t like in the beginning. (But yes, there are a couple characters who couldn’t redeem themselves in my eyes based on their actions.) I am looking forward to seeing where this series goes, as I loved the group of people in OV surrounding Marston and Brinley.

Every Little Piece of Me by Lexi Ryan is the First book in the Orchid Valley Series. There is a Prequel called 'Every Little Promise' that really starts their story but you could make this a standalone if you wish to do so. But, with that said... I think it helps to read that first to fully enjoy the their story. This continues the story of Brinley Knox and Marston Rowe. Marston was a orphan who had to work for everything he had but he always had feelings for Brinley. Brinley had a totally different life with rich parents who where all about status and looks. But Brinley loved Marston so they had a secret relationship that came to a end when tragedy in Brinley's family happened. Now about 10 years later in their current day they meet again in Vegas where they have a passionate night. But we learn that their status in life has changed where Marston is a very well off business man and Brinley is still working to please her family but this time by doing a marriage of convenience to help her family. But that night had more than just passion but Brinley doesn't remember it so Marston going to remind her and claim her fully. Enjoyed their story.

Thank you NetGalley and Valentine PR for the advanced reading copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I don't think I have ever read anything by Lexi Ryan before. And this book makes a damn good introduction for me to the author.

I love a good second chance romance. Throw in the fact that the couple was a childhood sweetheart, the story is almost a guarantee winner for me.

Every Little Piece of Me is a no-contest winner for me.

This story is heartbreakingly sweet. Marston breaks my heart because he feels that he has so much to approve. There are quite a few assholes in the book that makes my blood boiling.

I really like the way the storyline was plotted. Usually when a story goes back-and forth between past and present, I find it confusing. But Lexi Ryan did this very well. I love their past just as much their present. But I have to admit that their past is painful to read. But that only makes their present even more meaningful to explore.

5 Star review of Every Little Piece Of Me (Orchid Valley #1) by Lexi Ryan

I know this is hard to believe, but Lexi Ryan is a relatively new author to me I cannot understand how that could be. From start to finish, I was captivated by the story that she wove, drawn in, I had a hard time putting this one down when real life got in the way.

I absolutely loved the continuation of Brinley Knox and Marston Rowe’s story. Although this can most definitely be read as a stand alone, I would recommend you one click Every Little Promise as it gives you the history of their relationship before reading this book.

I was fully invested in the story that Ms. Ryan told and fell hard and fast for both of them. This is one of those books that was a wonderful read and left me with a smile on my face. Brinley and Marston’s road to a happily ever after is rocky to say the least, particularly since it would appear that Brinley is unaware that the have been married for the last couple of years. This led to some humorous interactions . I loved the friendship between Brinley and her friends and is was great to see how much they had her back.

The chemistry between them was just as intense as previously and I was cheering for them to make it as a couple.

This isn't the first time Lexi Ryan has completely sucked me in and made me feel. Angsty must be her thing because holy cow.

When I read the blurb about a girl getting married in Vegas, forgetting, and inviting the guy to the wedding, it sounded like light and silly shenanigans. No. Feelings ran deep and there is so much history between Marston and Brinley. This was emotional and difficult.

These two are basically made for each other. It did bother me how much he had to do ALL the chasing and Brinley even in the past gave up on their love too easily. It didn't bother me enough to love the story any less though. So basically, to sum it up, this was a super awesome second chance romance with high emotions and high stakes. I loved it and look forward to the next in the series!

4.5 stars!!!! My FAV trope!! I love when characters meet in childhood/teen years and are destined to be together! The writing was so good!! The flashbacks helped to piece it all together!!! Love Lexi Ryan’s writing!

Marston= SWOON!!!! Brinley made some hard choices/decisions, and I was so glad they worked out in the end!

“The night we met, I told you that if you were ever mine, I wouldn’t let you go without a fight. I meant it. Nothing’s changed.”

“We make our own family.”

“I’m yours.” Smiling, I shake my head. “And I don’t mean part of me. I mean every little piece.”

“How am I supposed to guard my heart against this man when he knows it so well?”
