I actually enjoyed. The fight and plot are standard, but the interactions between Lois and Clark are great. I upped it a star because Lois was always depicted in the panels as wearing sensible shoes. I really loved that.

A refreshing take on the iconic character, without delving into his well-known origin story.

In this story, the Man of Steel faces off against the villainous Parasite, who is experiencing an abnormal surge in energy absorption.

This issue shows one of the character's strongest characteristics, how he approaches conflict. Instead of resorting to violence as a first option, he makes a concerted effort to de-escalate the situation. Even when he does engage in combat, he doesn't overpower his opponent but relies on acute tactical prowess to secure victory.

The artwork is really good, with Parasite's design resembling the one from "All-Star Superman." The dynamic visuals kept me engaged and invested in the story, making it an exciting start to a Superman series that promises a fresh perspective on my favorite comic book character.

I enjoyed this book so much! The stories all relatively connect but they stand enough alone for each to have their own personal message. I enjoy this side of Superman, always, his ability to see the best in others, to remind us that a selfless act is all it takes to make us better people. This is the comic series I hope to find more of in the future. It plays out like a series but on each phase there is a complete message or closure enough that gives the warm feeling inside. Thank you Superman!
Good job Robert Venditti

Los and Clark are married and working at the Daily Planet. A recurring theme here is Luthor still a major businessman is out raged that the people of Metropolis look to Superman rather than him a human for salvation. Kal-El is relieved that humanity is combining to help themselves when Superman cannot keep up.

Can we have Venditti on Superman?!

Superman has been super-meh over the last year or so. DC Comics, can we get Robert Venditti on writing duties? These would be floppies to buy from my LCS!

I haven't read any Superman comics in a long time and I may have to rethink that! I really liked reading this one with how much action and violence happened so quickly! You gotta love a story with a villain that takes off in a 'shocking' manner!

It's a shame Robert Venditti isn't doing a Superman ongoing, he's got the voice for the character down. I think this is the first time since before the new 52 that Superman actually inspired people, you know the thing he's meant to do. We've had some great stories since, in the new 52 and rebirth but he always seemed to be angry about something.

Anyway aside from bringing hope, this is a fun little issue. Starts with mysterious power outages and Superman has to find out who's responsible for it, shame the cover kind of gives it away but it's enjoyable nevertheless.
