Academy of Fire and Ash #3

Mated To The Dragons

Rate this book
I’ve been able to shift to wolf since I can remember, but my dragon half has remained hidden until now. And she’s magnificent. Flying holds a great joy than I’d ever imagined. If only every other aspect of my life would come together as well.

I’ve had it with my dragon betrotheds and their evil plots. They’ve come close to killing me twice, although they know they need to keep me alive at least long enough to say I do and earn them my dowry. But the incompetent coven they’ve hired to help them seems unable to get that concept. And my father still believes them over me.

But they are not my mates. Walden and Benji are the true loves of my life. My fated mates. And I will whatever it takes to make sure I have a mating flight with none but them. Since arriving at the Academy of Fire and Ash my life has lost what little peace it had. My days at the Lycan Academy only a pleasant memory. Still… the good outweighs the bad, and I have faith that in the end I will survive to live my happy ever after. I just need to break the betrothal. Find my mother—who as it turns out may still be alive. Figure out the semantics of this reverse harem… deal.

And not die.

WE have a little action and suspense. I felt it could have been a little more heart stopping in this book. AJ is still trying to get out of the marriage with the guys that her dad promised her to. She can';t find the jewel that was stolen from her. Her true mates are still with her. What will happen? Will her betroths finally kill her? Will she ever be with her mates? Why will her dad not listen to her? So many questions so many answers.

I haven't read any books in the academy series but I didn't feel lost reading this one. Enough of the background was revealed in this book to pull me into the story and hold me there. Most of the characters were extremely likable and one had me chuckling. Arnham was a sweetheart and from what I could tell, a great instructor. AJ was tougher than I think she was even aware of and her mates, Benji and Walden always had her back. They had a lot of hoops to jump through to try to void the betrothal she had to King and Draven and there was a little twist along the way. I have gone back to where AJ shows up in the wolf series and started to binge read the series because this one had a combination of fun, love, steam and and evil to fight against. Unfortunately I was up reading until 5 a.m. finishing a book and will get started again on another one this morning.

This happens to be the third book in the series. A.J. is called into the headmistress office. Once there she gets handed a thick envelop from the headmistress. A.J. asks her if she knows what's in the envelop. A.J. knows its from her father. Headmistress says no but she got a letter from him as well telling her she is to encourage her to listen to her father. The headmistress is pissed exspecially after A.J. reads her letter out loud. The headmistress has tried to inform A.J.'s father that her betrothal's have tried to kill her before but he won't answer the headmistress at all. So A.J. decides that she is gonna go talk to her father and try to get him to stop what he is trying to do. You have to read to learn all the good stuff in the book and series.

In a complete surprise twist, this series culminates into a teary happy ending.

When her father pre-pones the wedding, AJ & her mates start looking for a way out. With the help of a secret supporter & her dragon mentor, AJ & her mates seem to have a solid ground to get her out of her previous betrothal.

But when has everything in life ever been the way it was planned to be?

This last installment clears up many answers not only for us as readers but also for AJ.

AJ’s dragon has finally shown itself and she’s excited to be flying with her true mates but the ones who her father picked out for AJ are still trying to kill her and her father still believes them over her. What’s a girl to do she needs to get rid of her fake mates and soon before they end up killing her. I love this series and this is a fantastic read and I recommend this book.

This book 3 in the Academy of Fire and Ash Series is a very well written story in the series with characters that are strong, have depth and they grow as the series progresses. This is not a stand-alone story. Cannot wait for more stories from this Author.

Absolutely awesome ending

This book was so good I cried a few times especially with some secrets unveiled. I love her mom and dad ( not the Biological jerk). I wish I knew what their punishment was because that would’ve been awesome. The septmonster and bio jerk should’ve gotten some punishment. The ending had me in tears

Felt ending was too rushed

Aj actually finally got everything her heart desired including her mother back.

However your left no knowing what happened to the ones who her father had her betrothed too. Or her best fried Em who is a dragon. Did she go to the other school also???

I was disappointed not knowing the answers.

The series was really great. The characters were strong and believable. There were a few editing mistakes but I've seen a lot worse lately.

AJ is back & more determined than ever to have her betrothal broken so she can be with her true mates since she has finally connected with her dragon. Her father still doesn't believe her when she tells him that her betrotheds have been trying to kill her. AJ doesn't know much about an actual mating beyond the obvious, but she doesn't know what the mating flight actually involves. She finds out more about her parents & things aren't what they seem. When AJ & her mates are brought before the Council where she has to present to them everything that she has gone thru because of Draven & King while asking for the betrothal contract to be voided as she has found her true mates.

I thought this was a great ending for AJ & her mates. Secrets are revealed, getting exactly what's coming to you for your actions & HEA for more people than just AJ & her mates.
