If you haven't read Jules Kelley's hot f/f short story Swelter, do that first. Then pick up this next installment of Grace and Maya's story FREE from Jules's website. It's a lovely, grounded, realistic and yet still flirty and sexy next chapter in their relationship. Actually it might even work as a standalone, if you want to try out their writing style.

Disclosure: the author and I are friendly online because I loved Swelter so much that I started following them on Twitter etc.

SOAK is a quick visit with Maya and Grace, months after their wedding hookup. Grace has decided to move back to Alabama to be close by after her father’s heart attack and even though she’s been with other people since their hookup she can’t stop thinking about Maya. There’s not too much relationship development in this one since it really seems to just be setting the stage for both Maya and Grace being in the same town again.

Content Warning: Grace’s father has just had a heart attack; reference to Maya’s family kicking her out after finding out she’s a lesbian

Just found out there's a follow-up to one of my fave short stories from a few years back, yay! I loved Swelter, so I read this immediately once I saw it.

This one didn’t feel quite as exciting or satisfying as the previous, but it was still a nice read. I did like the softer, more everyday-life-focused glimpse this gave into Grace's and Maya's lives.

The ending felt a bit abrupt and I personally would have loved a bit of spice in this continuation as well, but overall, I liked this short.

This is available to read for free on the author’s website. Another short and sweet story featuring Grace and Maya that packs quite a punch. A little steaminess (that was sadly interrupted) and discussion about identity and coming out.

Another short and sweet and utterly perfect glimpse into Gracie's life. Really enjoying these bite sized sapphic stories.
