ASIA IS A SELFISH "B"
I didn't like this authors writing. This story is about a dominate female named Asia and a Wimpy male name Drew!!
Drew spend on week with Asia when they were in collage. Asia family is rich so she decides Drew is not good enough for her family to accept. They break up!! Fast forward six years and Asia has a 5 year old son. She refuses to tell Drew about his son. Instead she uses Drew to help her get a job with another company. If he helps her she will give his company one year of her Tech service. Whatever her service are the author doesn't really make clear!!
The whole story is about Asia's selfishness and how she uses Drew.
Drew is a Wimp!! he does anything Asia tells him. He even puts her needs and wants above his own developing tech company. 70% into the story Drew still doesn't know that Ollie is his son.
What a Nightmare of a story!! Don't waste your time on this. I don't understand the 5 and 4 star reviews. Glad it on Kindle Unlimited so it was just a waste of my time!!

I am really torn as to how to rate this particular book. The writing was good, the characters were developed and there was a HEA. What I did not like about the story was that Ms. Rose had Asia keep her unexpected pregnancy from Drew for six years with no plan to ever let him know that he had a child, all the while acting like it was all his fault and that she was a victim of some horrible misconduct by him. Simple biology says that it takes two to conceive a child so where was her feeling of responsibility to not making sure that there had been protection used and since when does that give her the right to deny him the knowledge that he was a father! He had actually purposely blown an interview to make sure that she got a job that they had both wanted after all! If a man is willing to do something that unselfish, what made her think he did not deserve to know about his own child? Even after they were pretending to be married?? This is becoming a common theme lately among authors to have a storyline featuring an unplanned pregnancy and then having the h decide that they were wronged in some way and to never tell the man involved that there was a child, all the while professing to have nurtured an abiding love for him! If the h had really loved him she would have contacted him and told him so that they could work out a possible solution, not just decide to deprive him of all contact with a child he never gets to know!
THAT IS SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!
Normally Ms. Rose does a much better job with her storylines.

This is story about Drew and Asia who meet in college and compete for the same awards and then senior year the same internship. When they socially meet at a party a week before the big interview they end up spending 1 beautiful week together and Asia ends up paying for their dates as her parents are wealthy and Drew earns what he can while going to school. Drew decides to throw the interview to ensure that Asia gets it and she does! Drew and Asia have a conversation one night where Asia says some pretty mean things and Drew gets mad and walks out. Six years later Asia has a little boy, Ollie and moves to San Francisco and is looking for freelance work and ends up seeing Drew at a random restaurant and then another person mentions her being a good match for Drew’s company. They are put together through business and end up spending time together socially and then Asia comes up with a crazy plan, that her and Drew pretend to be married for her to get her dream job and in return she’ll work for Drew’s company for a year, Free! They both have feelings for one another but refuse to admit it and then Asia’s best friend from NY, Mark comes for a visit and Drew gets jealous as no one ever explained their relationship and Asia never tells Drew that Ollie is his son and she acts as though she is above sharing her secret. When Drew over reacts she tells him to leave and he does. I’m not thrilled that Drew is blamed by others for her outburst and Asia never takes any of the responsibility for her actions but the ending is nice and seems just right for them. This was a emotionally thrilling, sexy, exciting and action packed adventure filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, interesting twists and heartwarming second chance born of forgiveness. Was a great read and had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

I got to chapter 8 and called quits. I thought this was an easy, happy book, but it was just drama. Asia was mean and hurtful, she treated Drew as if it was dirt, was way too self righteous to admit that she did wrong and her reason for hiding the baby is non existence. She just decided that she was alone that he left after only a week (I mean he did left after she told him that she wanted to pay for their time together because she was getting her money’s worth), and that was it.
I was going to keep reading but saw in another review that after they get together and decide to pretend to be married she still didn’t tell him. I’m sorry but no, that’s no. I decided this book is not worth my anger, I read to relax, and being angry for an stupid character is not wha5 I need right now.

Six years ago, Asia Humphry met Drew at a party, neither of them being much into parties but going to this one for a change of pace. They laughed at Drew’s corny pickup line and then danced together. And then holding her in his arms, he kissed her. Both were preparing for some important interviews coming up, but he knew he wanted more when they had time to start dating. Eventually, he decided she should win in the interviews and he was willing to throw it to let her win. She deserved it. They both had worked hard for it. She felt confidence, and he had waited for her. They went to dinner and she surprisingly asked him to come home to her apartment. He would be her “reward” for doing well on the interviews.
Drew and Asia spent a wonderful week together at her apartment in college, then it ended. She knew her family wouldn’t accept him and she had to give him up, so they had a huge fight and he left. She never told him about their child. Now in San Francisco, completely across the country, she sees him. Still not panicking, she figures it cannot possibly happen again. She’s sure she can avoid him. Until she shows up for an interview and meets her familiar new boss!
When Asia needs a husband to land another contract, she asks Drew to pretend to be her fake husband. And when truths come out later, their world is jumbled up. What will happen between them now? How will they ever sort out the mess they get entangled in?
Great story. I loved the sacrifice Drew made for Asia. He was the poor kid who worked so hard to aim for what was important. But he let it go to give her the dream she wanted. Do they work things out when the truth is exposed? Or was that the final straw for breaking any possible relationship now?

This was an incredible book with a well crafted story line. Be warned, once you begin reading you will find this book hard to put down. A different twist on second chance romances. A secret baby and more drama than you can imagine. This is Drew and Asia's story. To be honest, she was not my favorite heroine and I did not agree with her decision to hide her pregnancy and son from his father. She was selfish in my opinion, especially how he blew the interview in her favor. I really can't say more without giving a spoiler - but I will say that this is a book you will want to read, I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.

This book had great potential but fell short. The story line was promising. The characters and dialogue were stiff. The book seemed to be more about the business transactions than the main characters rekindling their relationship.

Drew and Asia walk a fine line between sinfully, sexy and heart-achingly real. That makes for a tempestuous kind of romance. Married to my Boss has alot of baggage to work it's way through. Rose battle six years of secrets and distance plus one huge surprise. Slowly these characters wiggle their way into your heart without you having even realized that they have done so.

Ms. Annie Rose has released a beautifully crafted romance with a superbly designed storyline as well as the characters to match. This woman has some serious talent and creativity.

Asia and Drew have a steamy and super hot past, however, eventually their relationship ended, because of the odds stacked against them.
To me, Drew is absolutely everything you would hope to find & have in a man and was written as an extraordinary character. In this publication, Drew made an incredible sacrifice for Asia, just because of who he is. Now they can only cherish, in their memories, their 1 amazing week together. That is until they meet again in San Francisco, so many years later, while looking at her new gorgeous boss. With a secret between them, Asia knows that she needs to come clean, but she also needs just one more favor... Does Drew help her again? What will transpire when he learns what Asia is keeping from him? Can these two ever obtain a happily ever after or has she destroyed any chance with her secret?
I am one of those people who do not like to give away any part of the plot, so that I do not ruin it for other readers. If I am being completely honest, I was riveted all the way through this impressive book and I suspect that this storyline will stay with me for some time to come.

“Married to My Boss” completely had me from the very start. One thing I really like about this second chance romance was that “the past” was explained right away and completely so the whole book could concentrate on the present.
The author created two passionate characters that belonged together but because of immaturity and misunderstandings, parted ways. Asia had a big secret she kept from Drew and didn’t know how he’d react to that. Drew was confused about what Asia wanted with him and as a result insecurities arose.
If you love heroes that can’t stay away from the ladies they love, who admit they were wrong and make adult time steamy, you will enjoy this book.

Faking it was easy...The blurb & previous reviews have outlined the story. I found it to be a good page turner. Felt like slapping both main characters really hard at times, they seemed to make things more complicated than they needed to be but we've all been there. There was undeniable attraction that never really dissipated in spite of their years apart. There was admiration & reaiisation that they both erred in harbouring distorted memories of their past. Well written with a hea, sigh! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

I love secret baby from the boss stories. I was predisposed to like this book, but I was disappointed. There is very little character development. The heroine is wishy washy and all over the place. The hero just seems like her doormat. He just does what he wants. an alpha he is not. In fact he seems weak and a little pathetic. He throws out some big statements like - I will fight for her. Then he does nothing for what we assume is weeks. The timeline after the prologue is just hinted at. The dialogue is non-existent. Most of the story is told via inner monologue. So the pacing feels super slow. I honestly started flipping through large chunks and didn't feel like I missed anything. There was gross underuse of secondary characters for levity, storytelling and cuteness. I really wanted more of the kid and brother which were just filler. At the end of it all, I didn't care about the characters or what happened to them.

It was a bit to slow for me. It didn’t “capture “ me on the first page. I ended skipping through most until I arrived at a part that interested me (for example when Asia told Drew, he was Ollie’s father). She felt a bit to controlling/dishonest/manipulative for my taste in female characters. I like strong female characters but I do expect a more integrity from them.

I didn't like this book, at all. The writing was so boring and full of unnecessary details and lacks so many necessary details. Everything was wrong in this book. The heroine was so on my nerves, she was so selfish and culprit but she's the one who gets to be angry and acting like she was a victim. I don't know why people rate it high but it wasn't worth it.

Such an experience helped him to know that whatever good that was to come to him in the world would be the product of his brain and his initiative. Her parents offered opportunities and financial support, but not out of love for the child, but how the child’s achievements could help polish and adorn the family’s reputation. No achievement was without critique or room for improvement. First place in the race—the time could have been faster; an A on a test—it wasn’t a 100. Her parents’ high expectations propelled her to strive and achieve, but when she failed to meet their expectations, and becoming pregnant without an acceptable candidate to offer as a husband and father was judged a failure, she was dropped from her parents’ world. And that experience of not being accepted and love unconditionally for herself blinded her to her own worthiness to be loved leading her to believe that she was good enough.
Drew and Asia were constantly in contact and competition in college, what they had not done was to share their feelings honestly and openly. And, that inability to honestly reveal themselves created a gulf of years, ripping apart a family before it is even formed.

The story of Drew and Asia sets up a romance that is challenged by the misunderstandings of past that continue into the present. This is a great second chance love story of Asia & Drew who after giving in to the the connection & chemistry between them had been together spent a week together but them being from different backgrounds they could not be together. After having a big argument about her being a rich girl whose parents wouldn't approve he stormed out & never went back meaning it was over for them, however, when she found out she was pregnant they disowned her so she movdd to New York to start her apprenticeship & make a life for her baby. Six years later she had been recommended by a friend to join a company he was a board member of & it turned out to be none other than Drew the father of her son Oliver that she had told him about. After finding out another company she wanted to do business with aswell would not take her on as she was a single woman came up with a plan for Drew to be her 'fake' husband for her to get the job. Although wary at the start eerything was going well between them until one night they ended up in bed together which the next morning she was ashamed of. The connection they had was still there & their feelings changed both wanting each other but didn't want to say but then he overheard a conversation she had with her friend telling Mark she loved him when he left & Drew totally misinterpreted it. He couldn't take it anymore believing she was going to leave his business as she had gotten what she wanted when she was given the other job, flying into a rage he stormed to Asia's house where she was happy to see him, without giving her chance to talk he told her how he couldn't believe she was leaving him after getting everything she wanted when he thought things were going well between them & she had just been using him, she returned his wrath telling him she never lied about what was happening now that the only thing she lied about was not telling him he had a Don & went back in her house shutting the door,Drew was angry walking back to his car. For a week neither of them couldnt believe that it was happening between them again they both loved each other but were too stubborn to talk to the other & it seemed like the happy ever after as a family might never happen until Drew got a lecture off his mum once he told her what had happened. I loved reading this story which had you hooked to the end.

**Spoilers** The plot was well written and the characters developed. And I'm glad Drew and Asia got a second chance at love. But I did struggle with parts of the story though. I really liked Drew. He's sweet, caring, and thoughtful. I think this is first story in a while that I didn't really care for the heroine. I disagreed with Asia 100% in hiding her pregnancy and son from Drew for six years. That's wrong on so many levels. She should've told him the truth from the beginning and given him the choice to decide what he does from there. What she did was make a decision for him. I've been there (the latter, not hiding a pregnancy), and it's not a good feeling to find out the truth years later.
Also, Asia came off a little snooty to me. She didn't take any responsibility in the argument that broke them up in college. It doesn't go into full detail about what was said, but she was mad at him for walking out and never coming back after she made a comment about their relationship being just fun and her parents would never allow them to be together because she's upper class and he's pretty much beneath her (not the exact words but close enough). Who wouldn't be mad after that?? And especially after he blew the internship of a lifetime so she could get it. Even after she started to get to know him again, she could easily ask him to be her fake husband to get a job but not say I'm sorry. It was only after he apologized at the end that she apologized for keeping his son away from but nothing else. It just irked me.
Lastly, we never learn if her parents ever come around. After finding out she was pregnant, they disowned her for keeping the baby. Talk about irony. Drew wasn't good enough for her, and her parents don't love her even enough not cut her off completely. Sounds like a little karma to me, although the baby didn't deserve it. But it would've been nice to know if her parents realized the error of their ways and want to be a part of their lives. She is their only daughter and only grandchild.
I still give it 3.5 stars because I love Annie J. Rose's books and writing style. They have depth and give the characters something to overcome. Hopefully, I'll like the next heroine better.

There were aspects of this book I absolutely loved but there were others I thought could have been done better. Overall I didn’t hate it, I probably would not pick it as something I’ll read a second time though.
This book featured something I haven’t come across before. When Asia meets Drew in his office the first time she falls into deep thought. We got to experience it as Drew watching her and wondering what it was all about. I’ve never seen it as a first person perspective from the observer. It was a unique aspect I loved and I felt it gave me a better understanding of both Asia and Drew. We see as he saw her. I also liked how Asia was the one who broached the fake marriage, it was her plan to get a job opportunity she wanted. I did not understand why she would want to put herself into a job (position) that had those particular views on women in the workplace in the first place. She seems like a pretty smart and put together woman otherwise.
The part I did not enjoy and did not understand at all was why Asia never told Drew he was a father. She was not a victim, nothing overly terrible happened so there was no reason for her to keep it from him once she found out. It broke my heart when he rushed to her house after learning not only was she a mother but her kid was sick. He practically dropped everything, got comfort food and rushed to her side to help out. This is after seeing her and speaking to her just the one time (across the room by chance doesn’t count) in 6 years.
Drew and Asia work great together as a couple and I really wish the author had come up with some other viable reason why Drew wouldn’t know he was a dad. It’s a familiar story type and some authors make it work, this was a case of it seeming not as well thought out and not at all original.

I gave this book 4 stars Married to my Boss is a Secret Baby Romance, but it's also a second chance at finding a true connection that leads to love.
This is the first book I read by this autor, and I really enjoyed it.
This was a light, quick romance it did have moments more intensity, and some funny moments.
Asia met Drew in college they had known each other for a while but she was focused in her studies, never gave herself the chance for an opportunity for a romance with him. Until one night at a party they danced, drank, kissed had sex and spent every minute of the whole following week together. Unfortunately they had a huge argument, they fought words were exchanged, Drew stormed out the door and never came back. That was the last time they saw each other until 6yrs later. Asia did get pregnant during that steamy week in college, but she never had a chance to tell him. He now has his own company, and she works as a freelancer helping companies with software issues. Drew has an interview to hire her, she has a plan of her own......she needs a husband! He doesn't know he's a father.
This story comes with a bit of complete misinterpretation, lies, manipulating, family life, steamy sex, mother's love ❤ I liked the secondary characters. I just couldn't believe that Drew couldn't figure out that Oliver was his son, when Asia kept saying liked just like his dad? I wanted to whack him over the head a couple times. Oliver is 5 and smart as a button. You can definitely feel the chemistry in between them Asia & Drew.
This story does end with a HEA, it's a standalone with no cliffhangers.

I loved reading Married to My Boss by Annie J. Rose because it was a very steamy story about Drew and Asia. Drew and Asia were dating each other back in college. They had a pretty intense love affair and were both applying for the same internship program. Asia came from money and Drew did not. Asia didn't wan to have distractions in regards to the internship and they had a huge fight. They never saw each other after that until fate stepped in and gave them another chance. Drew worked with his best friend in a company that they both started. Asia was a single mom and a free lancer who was trying to make a name for herself in the business world. But one of the potential clients that she is trying to get wants her to be married. He is old school and won't hire her even though she has all the qualifications that he needs. So, fate steps in and lands her at Drew's company. She needs a husband and he needs her expertise in providing bug support for his company. So they agree and that is where things get complicated. I really hoped that Drew and Asia would get together for the sake of their son and that Asia would tell Drew about their son Oliver (Ollie). It was a very good book that I highly recommend reading. Also, I love the cover of the book. I like to think that this is what Drew looks like and he is hot!!

Nope just did not work for me - But it will for other readers
What could possibly go wrong when you fake marry or secret baby daddy, where he doesn't even know..............not a thing right??? But wait as you also need to throw in that he is her new boss. So Asia is about to find out a whole lot can go wrong when she and Drew reconnect again after six years. They had first met in collect and spent a great week together but then went their separate ways. What she never told him was that she got pregnant and had a lovely little man. When they cross paths again things end up going really strange in a short amount of time in this story.
So I have read and enjoyed a number of the author's book but this one just did not do it for me. I thought the premise was good but there were too many tropes thrown into the story and then not the most likeable FMC in Asia. I think I liked the kid the best on from this book. So this book was a disappointment to me. I know that others will love the story so if you are already a fan of Annie J. Rose then pick Married To My Boss up and see if you like it or not. But if you have not read a book by this author then I would suggest you pick up a different book to start your reading experience with.

Should all women get a happy ending! Maybe? Okay I enjoyed this book, but I wasn’t very happy with Asia’s decision to keep her secret. This story is about Asia and Drew. This story starts off with them both meeting in college going for the same internship. After meeting her at a party and sharing a kiss, he decides she deserves this internship and botches up his own interview. She gets it and they end up spending the rest of the week together. Note, Asia comes from a wealthy family and he works to keep living. They have a fight on their last night as Asia tells Drew that her family will never accept him, and that the week was all they could have. Surprise, surprise he gives her something for the rest of her life. Now fast forward six years where she moves to CA with her son Ollie. You will need to read the story to find out who she is married to the boss and does Drew forgive her for the secret she kept. Like I said you would need to read this book to judge it for yourself. I like this author, and I am never disappointed in what the outcome and this book definitely has HEA as well.

Finally in their senior years, at a party, they actually communicated with each other. And Drew decided that Asia deserved the internship. They spent the week following her win, in each other's pockets, until things were said and it all falls apart.
Six years later, Asia, a single mother, disinherited by her parents for that "bad" decision, has been recommended to a relatively new company, as well as interviewing for another company. When she finds out the first company is owned by Drew, that's one thing and when the other job's (one she really wants) interview ends badly, due to the fact that the owner has something against single female employees. Asia's solution is to work for Drew, have Drew pose as her husband so she can land the other job as well. Now with their past history and their current proximity, can Drew and Asia work through their issues and come back together...and when will Asia tell Drew he's a father?
