Il consacre tout le premier chapitre à une synthèse de la question de la douance et apporte quelques explications innovantes à ce sujet. Les témoignages touchants de ces femmes douées, trop souvent ignorées, sont issus de réflexions profondes et démentent ainsi certains préjugés. Le livre est destiné à tout public homme ou femme, connaisseur ou non de la précocité. « Un enfant précoce très jeune, soumis à un environnement dans lequel il ne peut acquérir des expériences nouvelles enrichissantes peut se trouver être totalement déstabilisé dans son développement cognitif. »

Solo es interesante un cápitulo, no da nada de lo que promete

I found that the book covers more the theme of women with gifted children, so deals more with the difficulties that gifted children may face at school. Besides, this book is mainly based on testimonies of gifted women (or women with gifted children). In the end, I reckon the book did not show that there are differences between gifted men and gifted women though this was announced as the goal of the book (in the book’s introduction). I still have doubt about the foundation of the “giftedness” concept as no medical proof of different brain functioning has been given..
