Adeline Rimbauer has been settling in with the seven Alpha wolves in the private world of White Peak. Because of them, she is discovering a new side of herself she’d never imagine existed. She was stronger than she thought. Truly and completely different. That was okay, though, because she had her men, her friends, and new life growing inside of her, just waiting to be held in her arms.
Life, for the first time in forever, was magical.
Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with a partial-Fae woman rising to power. She was a threat to a dying conclave who were bound and determined to keep things the way they had always been. Threats were meant to be dealt with in a permanent way.
It will take Adeline, her loved ones, and every ounce of strength she possesses to keep her hard-earned family from falling to a darkness more malevolent than the depression that reaps within her soul.
*** Trigger warning for scenes of graphic violence and mental instability. ***
Guin is an old soul caught in a sometimes-naughty body. She lives in upstate New York and enjoys nights out on the back deck listening to the crickets chirp while she reads another book. There's not much better in her world than chilling with the animals and getting lost in a new book boyfriend (or a few).
great ending, i loved that epilogue at the end when we get a glimpse of their future with all of their kiddos. I want to read more about their kids and their familyyy. I felt like the MC was so fragile sometimes , it was both good and bad i guess. I was not seeings that it would be a duet, so i was expecting a chliffhanger but it never came. Which i am thankfull for, i hate to wait months until i get the next book
MUCH better than the first book. The author dialed down on the yammer while still keeping the details. The MFC got a bit of a kick in the butt and got a stiffer spine. Even with some of the darker scenes (they're twisted and kind of ooked me out and made me nervous) I jived with this one. It might've even been able to be a standalone now that I think about it instead of a duet. I'll be looking for more from this author.I
Also, loving that epi. I wanna see books about the kids.
What a great conclusion to this duo series!! It had the possessive, protective alpha males and the strong, take no shit female that I love so much!! Definitely a must read!!
Its so long. The language is so annoying. Who uses the words her mons and cleft. And the world bulding is just ….lacking explanations and just expect the reader to just go along woth it.
Still liked her depiction of depression, and her trauma being written so real.
