Rome

We never play by the rules. In life, in music, or in bed. Rules are for those who give a f#ck what other people think. The only opinions we care about are our own.

We love each other like brothers, only closer. We’re each other’s biggest support and greatest rival, and we give each other everything. In life, in music, and in bed.

We’re the family we chose, not the one we were born with. Our bond is stronger than blood.

No woman has ever been a source of strain on our relationship.

Until we meet Quincy.

With her, something feels different.

We’re different.

She’s the piece of the puzzle we never even realized was missing.

But the friction she causes between us is like nothing we’ve ever felt toward each other, and it’s threatening to tear us apart.

I had her first. She wants him more. Why do I need to make her mine?

Rome is going out of his mind with want for Quincy, the woman in their trio, the woman he can't have because she's in love with King. Normally in a tense situation like this, he'd go out and lose himself in a bottle and drugs and women, but since he's just gone through rehab, those options aren't available to him any longer. So what's a man to do when he's going crazy with wanting someone he can't have?

Except perhaps Quincy has room in her heart for more than one man. If she'd allow herself to accept that notion, to feel the way she wants. And what about King? He's been jealous of his best friend and Quincy for awhile now and he doesn't know how to handle it. Perhaps he too can see through to letting Quincy feel the way she feels, without being a jealous prick about it.

I gotta admit that this conclusion was more angsty than Plucked and it lessened my enjoyment a bit. I wanted the three of them to work things through a bit smoother, without all the back and forth, without all of them being dicks at one point or another. I am glad they finally worked things out, though, and found happiness with each other.

Bowed is the second book in the Classical Badboys Duet and this story picks right off where we left off with Plucked. This is a MFM story surrounding King, Rome and Quincy packed full of drama, sizzling chemistry and heat that radiates off the pages. I am not a lover of MFM stories so I did struggle a little but this is a personal thing and in no way reflects on the writer or the story. However in saying that my connection with the characters was more drawn to King and Quincy and at times I found it hard to find the same bond with Rome. There are ups and downs and pushing and pulling between these three that at times causes tension and struggles. It is highly emotional, passionate, steamy and overflowing with drama. An intense story that shows how complicated love can be at times to finally reach your HEA with a little bit of a surprise.

Bowed by MV Ellis is book two in the Classical badboys Series. This continues the story of Roman “Rome” Ivanenko Anthony “King” Kingston and Quincy Copeland. So, you really do need to read the previous book 'Plucked' before starting this one. This book does pick up about where we left off. Roman is dealing with being in love with Quincy along with her being with his best friend King. They are trying to all work through their feelings while trying to maintain a relationship. I don't want to say to much but these three do find their happy ending and I enjoyed reading their path to it. I really enjoyed this author's writing and will be looking for more books in the future.

“At that moment, it was as though they were the only two people on the planet, or at least the only two who mattered, to each other, or to anyone else. The scene was as moving as it was personally devastating.”

Bowed picked up from the ending of Plucked effortlessly. One of my favourite reads and my favourite duet this year. Ms Ellis is a brilliant wordsmith and is able to put you right in the room with the characters through her narrative. A rhapsody of emotions bubble to the surface, whilst living vicariously through them, as each page is turned. I’m feeling Thoroughly Plucked, on a euphoric high after that scene in the back seat of the limousine. 🔥🔥🔥

We are given front row seating, to watch King and Roman’s friendship take a battering. Quincy has captured the attention of both men, which is creating all kinds of drama. Roman is an addict, rehab may be helping, but it seems like Quincy is the one thing he’s struggles to give up. Meanwhile Quincy has to face facts and make a tough decision. Who will get the girl, will either man be left standing and will their friendship survive?

Bowed seamlessly picked up right where Plucked left off. My memory was instantly triggered as soon as I began ready and I was easily able to get back into the story. Q, King and Rome were just as perfect together musically, emotionally, and sexually as I remembered from book 1 and then some. While the drama in this book was a little let life threatening then book one, there was still a good deal of it. What was lacking for me was the detailed, hot sexual chemistry that I got from one book. Yes there was sex, and yes there was chemistry but it was as in depth or as hot as I was hoping for. Nevertheless, the Duet had a HEA and the story felt whole and complete. Over all, I would recommend this as a good, fast read.

It's intense from start to finish, add in the sizzling chemistry, packed full of drama, highly emotional and so passionate.
This intense trio have you sucked in.
A story showcasing how sometimes love can be complicated at times and how HEA sometimes take time.
There are ups and downs, complications and pushing and pulling from the characters that takes you on a ride.
A love triangle that leaves you with all sorts of emotions but has you captivated.

SCORCHING HOT FINALE!!

DAMN!!! This finale is so DAMN HOT!!! My kindle was smoking with the sizzling words on every page. There is so much emotion in this story (love, anger, frustration and passion) that will leave you swooning for these characters. They have this deep connection that is hard to deny.

“This is life. This is love. If we can’t be there for each other in these moments, when it’s not pretty, but it’s real then, we might as well not pretend to be there for each other at all. I’m your ride or die, you have to know that?...Well, if you don’t, I’m telling you now. I got you. I love you.”

This story picks up exactly where we left off with book 1. But things get heated. Rome and King get angrier and their interactions are always fraught with insecurities and doubt. When the three of them are in the same room things become intense and highly combustible. They are wound up so tightly that they are sure to explode.

With so much sizzling passion on each page it kept me completely enthralled, highly entertained and gushing with love.

Can the three of them find a way to make their unique relationship work before Rome does something they will all regret? You will need to read to find out!

This is a heated, highly emotional, soul searing story with an explosive ending that will leave you breathless and begging for more.

This duet is just so damn delicious. A must read. Highly recommend.

Work hard – Play Harder! Play hard they did, in this case they played hard on and off the stage. Our bad boys King and Rome are brought to their knees by the exquisite Quincy in this brilliant sequel “Bowed”.

Pure joy, Rome on the cover, the dark broody tattooed alpha male. Nothing makes my heart swoon more than this man showing the one woman he loves his tender side. Holding his arms out and interlacing his fingers with hers to support her when she needs him the most.

Three hearts. Two men and one woman. This is a story of relationships. The men, best friends bonded like brothers. The history, Rome and Quincy. The couple, King and Quincy. The band, all three of them. Two men in love with one woman. One woman in love with two men. All of them well aware of the others feeling towards each other. The scorching chemistry between all three of them is blue flame hot.

A showstopper, just like the performance these three brilliant characters deliver on stage. It was an epic visual story, you feel like a voyeur in the room, a real credit to this author and her writing abilities. I’m never looking at a piano the same way again.

Come on their journey right through to the epilogue to see how it all unfolds. I think you have found your forte MV Ellis. Just adored this ending. This duet is one of your finest works.

I am so thrilled with the ending of Bowed. Sorry had to get that out there. This book is so full of angst and emotion. They say that artist are so full of passion and it is so true of King, Rome, and Quinn that it is not even funny. As you can tell I loved Bowed. Kudos to M. V. Ellis for writing an splendidly well written book. I need to say this I didn’t get distracted not once with typos and other grammatical errors as I do with some others. I don’t want to ruin this book for anyone as to me it is a MUST read for everyone. The complete duet tells a story of how three musicians who have only music in common fall in love. It also explores how much trouble and anguish having three people be in love is. While the sex and their chemistry is off the charts that is only part of it. Maybe the best and arguably the simplest thing about three people being in love is. But outside of the bedroom, ok so they hardly make it to a bedroom , there is a lot of other things to consider. Mainly societies norms, jealousy, and expectations of each other’s rolls in their relationship are things that can get in the way. I will let you read this story and find out what happens and how it all ends. You will not be disappointed with King, Rome, and Quinn’s story. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Love should mean never having to choose, love just is!
by sewsummore

Love makes the world go round, and there is undoubtedly a lot of love going on in the book. Trying to live their lives, both personally and professionally, was hard for Rome, King, and Quinn. When Rome fell for Quinn, he knew his best friend felt the same way, and he loved Quinn and King too much to stand in their way—keeping his feelings a secret sent Rome on a downward spiral of sex, alcohol, and drugs. When he returned from Rehab, both Quinn and King insisted he move in with them both. This situation created a further strain on the relationship between the three of them. When the emotional turmoil finally exploded, Quinn never expected they would become a threesome. Both King and Rome loved her too much to hurt her by making her choose, and since she loved them both equally, why should she have to choose. I quickly became absorbed in this story. The emotional rollercoaster that the three lovers experienced should have destroyed the deep friendship between the two men. Instead, they put their doubts aside and discovered what a loving unit the three of them created. Love should mean never having to choose. Love is, and there cannot be too much love in the world.

This finale to the Classical BadBoys Duet absolutely SIZZLES!!
MV Ellis's "Thoroughly Plucked" are back, and this melting pot of sexual tension and soaring melodies, that is the musical trio of Quincy, King and Rome, deliver the goods to burn up the pages of this super hot and swoony, love affirming, standing ovation worthy romantic performance!

There is no pause from the action of the first offering "Plucked" and you won't need to recap as Ellis seamlessly picks us back up with where we left this tumultuous trio.

With Quincy and King relishing in their love for one another, Rome is left torturously feeling like the third wheel, denying his own love of the beautiful Violinist whilst battling sobriety from his addictions.
But can they find a way to be together in love, as they are on stage? Or will Rome self destruct before their eyes?

This union of sizzling passion and tension is effortlessly and respectfully portrayed by this author.
You feel each of their struggles and as such you won't want to take sides. They deserve to be together. This is a heated, soul deep connection none of them can deny.

But can pride, jealousy, and public perception be set aside to see this union thrive?
You'll have to grab this to find out! And just a hint-you might like to do so in private, as this is seriously HOT!!

Bowed by M.V. Ellis took heat to a scorching hot level and the chemistry just won me over. A steamy, passionate and intense story from the beginning to the end. And what an explosive ending to the duet!

Quincy and King are now a couple. But Quincy and other part of their musical combination Rome has this simmering chemistry that just refuses to disappear. Can they find a way? Will King accept Quincy and Rome's feelings? Will Rome self destroy under frustration and anger?

King and Rome are two sides of a coin. King is the more level headed, composed, rational and elegant side. Rome is the more impulsive, reckless and volatile side. But they are both gorgeous, dominating, possessive and alpha to the core. And it takes a queen like Quincy to handle their intensity! She is a powerhouse. Their musical brilliance is in tune with their emotional intensity. The chemistry is too much hot to handle and also equally soul deep. Their combined dynamics is something magical and extraordinary.

Bowed by M.V. Ellis is a sensual and chaotic love story. You will fall in love with the people in the story and their journey towards happily ever after.

Bowed picked right up where Plucked left off, so you HAVE TO READ PLUCKED (Book 1) FIRST! I normally have issues with MFM, but since I'm a HUGE fan of MV Ellis, I went in on the Classical Badboys duet. It surrounds King, Rome, and Quincy, with both guys in love with her. Rome has history with her, while King is her present, and that has Rome really feeling out of sorts altogether which isn't a good thing since they're all in the band together. The push & pull is very frustrating as these three try to maneuver into something that works for them all. Obviously they're chemistry is simmering which doesn't take anything to have it explode into sky high flames. However, this story is more than just the MFM factor, or even a triangle, but real love on a deeper level which makes it all the better. Anyway, that's all from me because it is the conclusion to their story, and I don't want to give any spoilers away for Book 1! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Let me start by saying that I’m quite a fan of MV Ellis’ writing. Bowed is the second installment in the Classical Bad Boys Duet and it picks up where the first book, Plucked, left off. This book falls firmly in the MFM category, which definitely makes and keeps things interesting between the characters. The fact that best friends (King and Rome) are in love with the same woman (Quincy) lays the foundation for so much drama and tension, which gives the story a multi-dimensional feeling and engages the reader that much more. Sometimes stories don’t have enough conflict or drama to hold the reader’s attention, but this story does not have that problem. Who knew a writer could make string instruments and the people that play them sexy? MV Ellis managed to do just that and so much more when she created this book series. The story’s twists and turns make me work to get to the coveted HEA, but I got a satisfying HEA in the end. I highly recommend Plucked and Bowed.

THIS IS HOT! If you have not read the first book then you need to read it before reading this book. We pick up from book one and let me tell you, this book is on fire. Rome, King, and Quincy are trying to pick up the pieces from the tour. Rome is still being his douchy self. Their is a twist, King is paranoid. There is heartache, emotions everywhere and finally everything comes to light. What will Quincy do? I feel like she is stuck between reality and fantasy. What will it take for all three to see what they can have? Let me just say I did not see that coming but was handled with care. This emotional story is an epic love story. I love all the characters and fell for each of them. We do get an happily ever after!!

Battle lines are quickly drawn when Rome reluctantly moves in with King and Quincy out of necessity rather than desire. Consequently, all hopes for the trio living in peace and harmony are quickly tossed out the window. As tension escalates between the men, Quincy struggles with admitting her true feelings to them both. Is she courageous enough to embrace an unconventional romantic liaison or will she sacrifice her happiness and succumb to societal pressures? This is a well written story filled with plenty of tension, friction and some strong emotions – frustration, anger and passion, to name a few. The well-defined characters were compelling and complex. Their MFM encounters were sizzling-hot! I look forward to more stories from this author.

Threesome heaven! The story picks up where the first one left off with King and Quincy a couple and Rome in a bad place. Poor Rome is on the bumpy path of recovery having to leave all his vices behind even the irresistible Quincy. Well, that doesn't last long as the sexual heat between Quin and Rome is alive and well. King is faced with losing his girlfriend or his best friend or both. He loves both too much for any of those scenarios, so it's on. These three are at their best when they're together in music and in bed. So hot! This story is full of emotion and sexy encounters as King, Rome and Quincy find a new normal in their musical and private relationships. A hot MFM with deliciously compelling characters and a thrilling musical backdrop. Uber-talented musicians and hot bedfellows make this a sexy read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

★ Off-the-charts charisma & chemistry - perfect ending ★

—>>> Two best friends and the only woman they’ve ever wanted to keep between them. Off-the-charts charisma & chemistry is still ongoing between this trio, but for Rome, his more self-destructing vices are forced to a stop as King and Quincy make themselves his keepers during his detox under the same roof, their fears of barely having pulled Rome back from very-near death still utmost in their minds. But when a series of events lead to an inevitable build-up of a range of heartfelt emotions each still struggle to contain, it is only a matter of time before one of them activates the hair-trigger, and they can no longer deny what they feel.

Perfect ending for this duet of riveting musicians! Also loved Deone’s unwavering and hilarious support for her girl Quincy and the beautiful song Quincy wrote from her heart.

I loved this trio so much. They all had this undeniable connection that no matter what, they were unable to break it.

To have to be in love with one of the guys but still feel something for the other must have been really hard for the heroine because when you feel such a strong attraction towards both and both of them are best friends, it's just hard to have to settle for one when you have them both at your fingertips.

What I liked about this duet was the fact that it was different, the musicality was totally something unexpected and to have such delectable guys performing this type of music was such a turn on.

But even though these three had their ups and downs they seem to have settled their differences and made this scorching hot read one hell of a book!

They can make music together but can they make a life together also

Bowed is the second book in the Classical Badboys Duet that continues the story of Rome, King and Quincy. This book continues their intense, sensual and amazing story. But not all is rainbows and butterflies between the three not that they are together. The dynamic has shifted and tensions are heightened where they did not exist before. Rome and King are at odds over Quincy and she is having a hard time because of her love for both of them. Sometimes you just have to say scr3w convention and follow your heart. Once these three do that then things really become smokin' hott.

I enjoyed this book as it took what was started in Plucked but add and expanded on it. This book is well written and each of the three characters have depth, emotion and pull you in.

This is the second book in the Classical Badboys duet and cannot be read as a standalone. Bowed picked up right where Plucked left off.

This story is all about the relationships. King and Quincy are together. Rome and King are best friends who are both in love with the same girl. Quincy is in love with both King and Rome.

I absolutely love the trio of Rome, King and Quincy. They are smoking hot. The sex scenes are scorching. Their chemistry is sizzling off the pages.

I fell in love with Rome even more getting to see his softer side. He is definitely my favorite.

MV Ellis wrote a captivating story that will draw the reader in from the very first page.

I definitely recommend this book

This is the 2nd part of this amazing duet and continues straight on from where Plucked ended. King and Quincy are together, but she loves both men. King, Rome, and Quincy are like puzzle pieces which fit together so perfectly. Rome is a dark and broody alpha who is fighting daily with his addictions, King is paranoid, and Quincy is the woman loved by both men. The chemistry between these characters is explosive, but will King and Rome’s friendship splinter and survive? This is a beautifully written seamless story which this gifted author has done an outstanding job in penning. This story is filled with drama, heartbreak, emotions, twists, and love. I cannot wait to read more from this author whose work I highly recommend for all readers.

Like a true triangle each piece is equal to holding to the others. Rome, Quin and King are that definition.

Oh the drama is high and I found myself tugging my hair and holding my reader tight. These three are going to show that rollercoaster and beautiful music definitely work together.

This one is a full on steam train but also the lessons of love, acceptance, power of true friendship and that honesty always finds its way to the surface.

Now to the good stuff. The se* is close to the sun hot, the characters each hold their own and deliver a quality story that had me from the cover right to THE END. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

What an amazing trio. Rome is doomed because he loves Quincy but she is in love with King. The music this trio makes is emotional and exciting but can they continue to live and work together with these unrequited feelings hanging like a cloud around them. Quincy finds herself struggling because she does love 2 men and doesn’t know how to exist in this environment. Will King and Rome be able to bridge their divide to truly unite this trio outside the studio? Exhilarating and off-the-charts sexy journey for all 3 of them. I was truly caught up in their struggle and loved the outcome. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I was given an ARC of Bowed by M.V. Ellis for an honest review. This is the second book in the Classical Badboys Duet. If you haven't read Plucked then I highly recommend reading it before this book. Bowed picks up where Plucked left off. From the first page, the tension between Rome and King is intense. Quincy thinks it's because Rome is dealing with his addictions but it's more than that. The three go through a some tough times. After reading the first book, I was able to guess what happens and how they eventually found their HEA. It was a fun to read. Happy Reading!

This epic story resumes with Quincy and King trying to assist Rome. Rome's actions has it's consequences and it affects them all. This toxic relationship is about to bubble over. King and Rome both love the same girl - Quincy. She is also their musical partner and King's lover. A scandal drops them dead centre of the public eye. Will they all survive this relationship this time around and all that goes with it or will it end in true tragedy for someone?

A great ending to this duet story line.

This book was not my normal trope to read. But what do you do when you are in love with two men at the same time?
Quincy, King and Rome had their ups and downs but had to make a big choice.
Do you make it work or walk away?
Do you fight for those you love?
Felt there was great chemistry between them all.
I guess when it comes to love... nothing stands in the way.
The ending surprised me but it was right for them.

Bowed picks up right where Plucked ended. In this second part, Rome doesn't have it easy and the banter that i really liked between him and King is almost gone in the first part of this book. There's still sexual tension between them and Quincy but this second part is more about the emotional tension between them. I loved this story and the characters, they are perfect for each other.

This duet was a fantastic and quick read with lots of sizzling steam and a satisfying HEA.

“M.V. Ellis you had my heart in your hands the whole time. Just wow!!! Bowed was pure joy and bliss. Did I mention I absolutely root for triangles? Yes, sometimes they do broke my heart but I can't help to love them. Quincy, King and Rome’s story was full of ups and downs with some intense situations and ultimately a choice. Let’s be honest King and Rome both love Quincy so they had kind of a toxic relationship. It’s quite complicated to describe without giving some spoilers but it was a great ending to this duet. Absolutely amazing and loved every second of it.”

This story continues from Plucked and is truly an epic story. The relationship between King, Rome and Quincy is even hotter and steamier, guaranteed to make your panties melt right off of you!
