While sometimes this series may feel like it’s more violent than some other books by Thomas A. Watson I think it matches the story perfectly. I kind of miss having the family members in the story since I like the way the closeness of the families has built the characters but I totally understand why they can’t be more present at this stage in the series. I continue to enjoy this series as much as I did Blue Plague and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any books by this author. Off to the next book…
I've read all six books that are available at this time. They started off as an economic SHTF and kept my attention throughout all the books. The problem arose when the main characters took prisoners of their enemies and conducted horrific torture on them. As the books progressed, the torturing got worse and extremely graphic with totally unnecessary details of what was done to people. There was indiscriminate killing of innocent men, women, and children! This graphic detail of killing was completely unnecessary to the story line and only horrified me, the reader. I enjoy a good war story where the bad guys get payback for their evil doings but this went above and beyond righteous payback. I can't recommend this series because of the graphicness of the language and the actions of the characters.
This book is very.Entertaining. The sin eaters are very effective but I do not believe a person could be able to operate for any period and be sane. Since the book the sin eaters came to be i have anticipated the next book in this series. Now I have another wait but I will stay strong and wait with the rest of you.
One of my favorite series! Eagerly waiting the next installation. Reaper is the darkest place in every American Patriot. The place we never want to go, but know we will for those we love.
Obviously theres going to be another book, maybe 2 or 3 lol (i hope), the only part i dont like about it.....i gotta wait until it comes out lol. Loved this one like i loved the previous 5, just keeps gettting better and better.
This is number 6 in the series. Oh, it is good but extremely disturbing. I hope this never becomes our reality. There are the expected proofreading errors, but Watson just says "deal with it". He has a detailed, scary imagination.
Just love Thomas A.Watson’s imagination and creativity. His stories never disappoint. Even though I’ve read these before, it’s easy to get lost in the stories and I find myself unable to put it down.
I devoured this book in one sitting, and was left wanting more, it was an edge of your seat read, full of action and suspense. I'm desperate for the next instalment it can't arrive soon enough.
Reaper, aka Nelson Jackson, continues his quest with the Sin Eaters to avenge as many wrongs as possible caused by the Federal States and its supporters. The Sin Eaters have spies on both sides otherwise known as angels. President Fern is aware of this and does his best to keep the Republic within the binds of the Constitution. On the other hand, President Gifford has Colonel Marshall actively pursuing Sin Eaters and their angels.
Watson’s sixth book in the Forgotten, Forbidden America series, Sinners is full of emotional turmoil. There were times that I cried; others that made me mad. And, those that had me cheering. At this point in the series, I can hear the characters in my head when they are speaking or thinking.
The end of the war is so simple. Yet, the Feds continue the fight. It appears the tide is turning in favor of the Republic. But, is it sustainable? What horrors do the Federal States have yet to unleash?
And you thought Book 5, Sin Eaters, was the epitome of how evil the Federal government can be - just wait! And even in this day and age, history can repeat. There are sins to be consumed! Nope, no spoilers here. Thomas Watson, you are the master of diabolic twists and turns! You have characters that readers love like family or hate with a passion and the ability to bring the reader right into the story. Reaper, Titan, and the Sin-Eaters are the weapon. Can they consume enough to succeed?? Well done, Thomas Watson.
The Sin Eaters are taking it to the Federal Government big time and after they find a refuge camp that really isn't what it seems, the FEDS better watch out. They are in for a world of hurt. This 6th book in the series has plenty of graphic violence so for people who have weak stomachs, this isn't for you
