Phour A.M. In Brooklyn

Rate this book
Phour Alicia Harper is the definition of beauty, brains and hustle. Growing up in Gravesend Projects made her who she is but she never allowed it to hold her back. On the fast track to graduating Brooklyn Law School and gaining a clerkship with one of the most honorable judges in New York City, she sees her life as nothing but golden. She has the man of her dreams and all of her goals are being checked off left and right.
It isn’t until a kinky night of passion goes wrong that Phour realizes her life isn’t as golden as she thought. Hurt, slightly broken & jaded, she finds herself searching for the real her. Her quest brings her into the presence of Cassius ‘Casper’ Carter. The two bicker more than siblings but find themselves entangled in each other’s words.
To loosen her up, Cassius makes a deal with Phour. She has to stay by his side for the next 24 hours. Hesitant at first but ultimately throwing caution to the wind, Phour agrees. The two embark on a journey of passion, devotion, and affection that only they can understand.
What is understood doesn’t need to be explained and in 24 hours their intimate journey starts to speak a language that’s even deeper than words.

text KKP to 22828 for updates on new releases, Sneak Peeks, & so much more.

Kellz Kimberly 24, fell in love with urban fiction after reading 'Baby Girl' by Jihad. The was only the first of many urban fiction novels she fell in love with. Eventually Kellz took her love for reading it and redirected it to a pen & paper. Dropping her first book in 2014 Kellz Kimberly has been building a name for herself ever since. With 27 books under her belt & 9 of them being Amazon Urban Fiction Number One Best Seller, Kellz Kimberly is just getting started.

She is slowly but surly taking the Urban fiction world over by storm. She recently took home the AAMBC BreakOut Author of The Year award, solidifying her as a force to be reckon with. This is only the start for Kellz Kimberly, she is always working and coming with new material to give readers then same feeling she got when she read her first urban fiction book.

Not only is she an author but she is a publisher as well. She works with her authors to help them pursue their dreams and encourages them to tell their story in a form of another story.

At only 24 she has accomplished a lot but she's nowhere near done with her list of goals. For her writing is so much more than just telling a story. It's about being able to have a reader full in love with a set of characters so much that they feel invested in the book. For her that is the greatest feeling of.

The best way to sum up Kellz Kimberly is 'She Writes, She Grinds, She Slays"

I really liked what this book stood for. I liked the message it sent of right person, wrong time and the importance of getting your mind right before hopping into a situation that, if played right, is meant to be successful. But also, like Cassius mentioned, understanding that those types of situations are out there and possible despite the hardships and obstacles. There’s a person for you but are you ready? Just loved that message! I enjoyed Phour and Cassius’s story and their characters and wish there was more! I also liked that they lived in the moment and had fun with one another. I also enjoyed how they joked with one another and warmed up to each other no matter how serious and hard to get they tried coming off as! Just makes it even better when they do fold! For a novella … this hit!

solid read

I really enjoyed this short story overall, but there was one thing that didn’t sit right with me. A man initially opens doors for her and elevates her because of his money and influence, yet it’s her knowledge and hard work that truly make everything possible. When she discovers he’s a snake and he takes those opportunities away, it’s a huge blow. Then, another man steps in to lift her up and remind her who she is. I think that’s the part that bothered me — it started to feel like she needed a man to save her or validate her strength, when she was already capable on her own. I still liked the story, but that underlying theme kept pulling me out of it a bit.

I need more! Please tell us that there will be more to this couples story! Casper was an interesting guy. One would think that he was just a street dude, but he was so much more. He had such a commanding presence, and demanded respect from everyone. Phour, a smart girl who worked her way out of the hood; but lost a bit of herself in the process. Spending time with Casper, taught her so many things about herself, in that short amount of time. Really good read!

Growth

I read Jeezy and Keisha's book first and it was okay. I enjoyed reading Casper and Phour's book better because she showed actual growth and actually listened to Casper. James wanted Phour to play at being his wife while he did whatever he wanted to. One would've thought that those grits got him all the way together but I'm sure Casper rocking him to sleep did. I want a book about Kylie and Bailey making positive moves and finding love.

This was good, it was short but good. I feel unsatisfied though I want more of these two I understand it's a novella but I really, really would like more hopefully Kellz will find it in her heart and Phour & Casper in her mind she will give us a full novel on them.

Oh my feelings are so hurt

In my defense I knew exactly what I was getting myself into but dang I don’t know why I thought it’ll be a sequel to this 😩😩😩 The ending left me with so many questions that I’m so distraught that I out myself through this torture voluntarily & for free 😩😩

Amazing! This was the second book I read by this author and I must say I love her style! The ending took me by surprise, but I was so invested in this story I hope there will be a follow up. I loved the chemistry with the main characters. The banter with the cousin had me in tears. I think I found a new book bae. His honesty and realness was on point! Definitely a must read.

James and grits will never be the same 😂😂🤣. I must say I was surprised by the way it ended but I loved the ending. Phour had so much she needed to work on before thinking about a relationship. Good book!

Nooooooooo! I’m so sad!

This definitely needed a little epilogue at the end. Please write us one for like after she graduates college, gets her career started and then she goes to see him at the club.

Chile James had enough audacity for 2 men. But he had the right one in Phour. I bet he’ll never eat grits again lol. His mama was on that good BS. Ma’am what?!?
I’m not fully sold on Casper but Phour had a good time and she needed that.

Phour A.M. in Brooklyn: A Cute Lil Novella

Casper is bae ! I’m so glad he got Phour to see her worth and helped her more than anyone had! James irked me as did his whack mama. I’m glad Phour knew what she had to do before moving forward; shows how strong she really is. Of course I wanted more but it was a very good and cute story
