Jade
I gave my heart away when I was too young to know better.

The idealized version of the man I love is forever burned into my memory. I joined the military to deal with the rejection. He’s moved on without me, and I can’t imagine that anyone else will ever compare.

So, I serial date. I’m not sure if I’m expecting to find someone like him or trying to forget him. Either way—it isn’t working.

After all, I just want to be taken seriously. He never even considered that my feelings could be real. I’m smart enough and old enough now! But instead of finding someone new, the excessive dating has made me a target for the men on the base. I’m considered a conquest.

A chance meeting at the bar has me rethinking my “frigid” reputation. For the first time, I encounter someone who not only makes me feel alive—but impassioned. He’s mysterious and sexy, and my body tingles with awareness, excitement … and lust.

For the first time, I'm considering giving someone—who may be gone tomorrow—my “V” card.

Desin
I’ve never had my affection reciprocated.

My love is forbidden in our society. Something that I only shared with my closest friend due to the taboo nature of my feelings. It wasn’t meant to be for so many reasons—including the fact that she didn’t return my devotion.

All I want is someone to care about me and only me. I know I can’t have what all Sinth dream of—a family. It’s simply not a possibility in our society, and I like to think I’ve come to terms with that.

I meet Jade while my squad is searching for our missing team member, Mavin. But then we’re split up because a potentially devastating virus shows up on Earth. It becomes more important than ever to figure out how to protect the humans—especially as I realize that what I felt before was a pale imitation of what lust and attraction truly are. Saving her life in a warehouse “accident”, I give her not only a second chance at life—but myself, as well.

But for how long? As we continue to look for the source, will the Wen virus keep spreading and decimate the entire planet?

Second book in the Sinth Series. This one takes place at the same time and location as the first book. But it now follows Jade and Desin and the romance they will have. The story works side by side with the first story and answers some questions but opens whole new ones. Jade has to know what is in the mysterious crate and it will lead to only danger. Desin is an alien and instantly falls for her. And she definitely wants to see where this will go. Plenty of mystery and romance.

As the Food Service Manager on base, Jade is responsible for the purchasing, inventory, and preparation schedule for the military facility hidden in the middle of Yosemite National Forest. The forklift operator set down a box of something Jade didn’t recognize, so she takes a picture to send to her boss and let him decide what to do with it. “Additive number TA-14” is stamped at the top of the manifest and the shipping information section only says “Ta’inke.” No address, no contact – very unusual. Curious, she checked for the FDA-approved nutrients in this item. It was “100% refined aluminum powder” even though her boss called it a dietary supplement! People shouldn’t be eating aluminum! Aside from causing other issues, it can bring on Alzheimer's.

In an unexpected meeting at a nightclub, Jade sees a man who makes her feel alive both physically and mentally. She doesn’t expect such an intense awareness of this new arrival. She may even consider a relationship with Desin. Eager to meet her, he had pushed into the tiny bathroom right behind her. She laughed when he realized where he was but reached to shake the hand he had originally held out to her. A profound shock went up her arm!

Desin’s people, actually clones of their family line, are different than humans. For one thing, “love” isn’t allowed. But he truly wants a family. He meets Jade during the search for a missing team member, then they get split up when a potentially devastating virus appears on Earth. Saving her life after a warehouse accident may provide a chance for both of them to find a new future together. But they need to track down the source of the virus before it gets completely out of control and destroys Earth. Will they survive? Will they end up as mates?

The writing and editing of this novel was super clean, with no typos that I caught in the ARC version of the manuscript! The world building was minimal, as it was set in contemporary America. The characterization was competent, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals. The development of the romantic relationship was natural and organic, considering the compressed timeline in this novel. The plot and pacing was exciting, with me turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next. There was low angst in this novel and high stakes. This novel uses the Fated Mates trope and the Mars Needs Women trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were three stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship was three stars. The super clean writing and editing of this novel rated five stars. Therefore, the combined score of this novel was four stars. This novel had a Happy For Now ending, with overarching plot threads for the series left unresolved. I recommend this story to readers who enjoy sci-fi romances. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

Fated mates and mysteries to be revealed!
by sewsummore

Jade was still a virgin because she could never felt a connection with any man like the connection she had with fellow foster brother Charles. Then she met Destin, the attraction between them was immediate and intense. While Jade was a human female, Destin was a member of an alien race known as Sinth. He was a Guardian sent to Earth to investigate the disappearance of another Sinth Guardian on Earth and at the same time, to investigate and help control a Wen outbreak. Destin was sure that Jade was his fated mate because she was able to see him when phased, as only mates were able to do. It did not take Jade long to accept him as her mate, but their troubles were only just beginning. I found this book difficult to follow since it was the first book in this series that I have read. I would recommend read book one before reading this book for better understanding and clarity. Jade and Destin, proved that they were true mates and their connection to each other only strengthened as time passed. There was a hint of mystery and deception woven into this story that kept me guessing, leaving me eager to read the next book in the series.

Sinth Strain is an original and imaginative Sci-Fi Romance series by Pearl Tate. Humanity is supposed to be under the protection of the “Grays”. However, humans are getting abducted and taken to other planets and, now, an alien virus has been brought to Earth that threatens all life on the planet. While all this is happening, Earth’s people are being kept in the dark about the existence of aliens.

Sinth Guardians have come to Earth to search for a missing fellow Guardian (from the prequel, Sinth Savior) but are side tracked by having to help the government try to contain an alien viral outbreak since they are uniquely qualified to help with this type of problem.

Desin is one of the Sinth Guardians trying to help with the outbreak. Jade is in the military and works at the top-secret base that is hosting the Sinth Guardians. Desin feels an instant attraction to Jade and suspects that she might be his mate. As Desin and Jade work toward their HEA, they also start to uncover what might be a conspiracy that will be addressed in a future book.

The series is getting more interesting with each additional story.

Change join the military in order to avoid rejection. When she first as she fell in love she was too young and so therefore got burned pretty badly. So as a result relationships don’t stick. Desin is an alien who gets rejected a lot on his own spectrum. He gives a lot of love or a lot of attention and affection but it’s not reciprocated the way he wants it. Sometimes he’s being used. But he’s learned to just keep moving on and keep trying. They are about to put in the situation where they have to figure out how to figure out an antidote or cure for this virus and avoid other negative interactions you know like people or other aliens trying to kill them. This is A strange action pack type of a story. It’s just a different part of the atmosphere or proper planet location that they’re in. But other than that it was a very good story the characters were developed. Their interactions were funny and steamy. Once they realize faded made to know that other happy stuff that we love.

Stand alone done in one -- overlaps action of the previous story...

We met Jade and Desin in the previous story, and this book starts during the events of the previous story, giving us Jade and Desin's perspective on a few of the same scenes... then continuing out further, allowing this story to stand alone nicely, and further the overarching plot of the series.

Desin is a low key kind of guy, not your classic hero, but the perfect mate for Jade.

Jade is a human who hit the lumps and bumps of life early, and had her suspicions when life, and people, tried to help her for the better. Unfortunately for Design, Jade met her knight in shining armor as a child, and no one since has compared... but maybe, instead of time and distance making the heart grow fonder, Jade will discover a child's hero is not necessarily an adult's one true love.

This done in one Kindle unlimited quick read kept the pages turning, expanding on the world building, playing fair with the reader on revelations, and leaving me curious how things will unfold in future stories.

I started reading the eBook and then received the audio version in exchange for a review. The story is great! The characters and the world the author built are wonderful. It is easy to like and become invested in the characters and the experiences they go through. The struggle they all face with the Wen virus is captivating. The audio version is lacking. Please don't give up on the story if you choose the audio version because you will miss out on a great series. The female narrator, Pearl Tate, does a good job. She relates emotion through her voice. It is believable. The male narrator, Rodney Steele, doesn't do the story justice. He tries to add some inflection to his voice, but it still sounds as if he is reading it. It just doesn't flow. After starting the series with the 1st book, I got the entire series in a bundle and it is actually read in chronological order instead of by book by book. I am really loving this version. All the characters from all the books blended together. It is amazing how they all intertwine.

I realized I skipped the first book but other than some initial confusion, I was still able to read and follow along in this book. I actually listened to the audiobook so more listening than reading. I like the premise of the book. I like the chemistry between Desin and Jade but it was really instant too, LOL. Although, I did have an issue with the audio. With each chapter, the title was also stated which was really strange. I don't know if that's how it's stated in the book as well, but that was weird to hear each chapter read that way, "Sinth Source Chapter...". Also, when it's the Sinth having a conversation with the humans, why did they sound like they were "slow"? The narrator speech slowed down for them, but in conversation with one another, the speech was fine. I'm not sure if I make any sense, but it really threw me off, thus the reasoning my rating is not higher. Overall, it's still a pretty ok read.

I live listening to this audiobook! The characters were very well developed. We’ve all been in a situation where we’re felt romantic interest for someone who did not return the emotions. This was a classic case of both Jade and Desin having that particular problem. I was relieved when they both realized what they had in one another was a 1 of a kind, genuine affection and love for each other. I must say the AI, Lana, worked some dirt and it has me wondering if they know more than they are letting on. There were a few places during the reading that the reader would have an extended pause, so much so I’d quickly checked my phone and make sure it was still playing. Also I’d love for the characters to sound more relaxed and less robotic, thankfully this did not take away from the material and essence of the story. Overall this a great audiobook and I Leo’s definitely recommend it.

I so enjoyed this story very much. There lots going on with the plot that it will keep you glued to the story till the last page. Jade is responsible for purchasing, inventory and the food service for the Military base hidden in Yosemite National Forest. Jade sees a man at a night club that finally makes her feel alive. Desin is also in a hurry to meet her and pushes in the restroom right behind her. Desin is a clone from his family line and "love" isn't allowed. He wants a family and he wants Jade. Will they get their chance at happiness? What about the boxes in the warehouse and the virus that's destroying Earth? Read the story and find out what happens. ★ It begins at The Pit… ★

—>>> Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - Good introduction into this author’s multi-layered world of human military, unknowingly working with alien species, specifically the Sinth, who make a startling discovery in book 1 (Sinth Seeker), and this first couple’s story (Teresa and Payak) is continued parallel to Jade and Desin’s in this second installment. Jade has managed to elude all intimate interactions with males until she spies a male who refuses to back down in his eagerness to know her. Both make meaningful discoveries which may rock their world as well as others, and it is a fast-paced read filled with action and a bit of suspense set in a creatively constructed world.

This is a good sequel to the first 2 stories Synth Saviour, and Synth seeker. It is about aliens finding their mates in earth women. There is a back story of trying to save earth from a deadly virus that turns beings of all types into flesh eating zombies. This is not really standalone except for Synth Saviour the prequel to the series. After that you will be lost when it comes to the back stories. So you have to read the series in order. I have eagerly awaited this story and can not wait for the next one. The prequel is free so it is easy to see if you like the series.

Jade sees an unknown company in the delivery supplies and notices that its harmful to people. She talks her friend into investigating with her and they end up in trouble. Jade met Desin at the club her and herr friend are at and they hit it off immediately. She doesn't expect to see him again and then he saves her life. Their journey begins. I love this new series and reading about the characters falling in love. Some action as someone is trying to keep the Sinths from having their mates. Someone is working hard to separate them. Must read.

This is book 2 of the Sinth Strain and I enjoyed Jade’s and Desin’s story. Desin is on earth with his squad looking for his missing team mate Mavin, Desin meets Jade in a nightclub and the attraction is instantaneous and Desin has a intense feeling for Jade but love is forbidden. Jade joined the military to deal with her first love rejecting her she took it really hard and became a serial dater but that all ended when she meets Desin in a nightclub. When Desin saves Jade’s life they fall in love but first they need to find out about this virus that is on earth before it wipes out all of the people on the planet. Fantastic story I enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book.

It’s Only Getting Better!

Sinth Source is book 2 in the Sinth Strain series. First, I recommend finding Sinth Savior (I got my copy from Pearl Tate’s website) it’s a prequel to this wonderful series and should not be missed. The characters and events from the prequel play an important role in the series.

Sinth Source runs almost concurrent with book 1, Sinth Seeker but be sure to read these books in order since there can be some spoilers if not. Sinth Source dives into some of the other character’s points of view of shared events and they also develop their own exciting and dangerous journey.

Sinth Source is full of instant attraction, danger, jealous AI’s, government conspiracies, lonely aliens and a virginal sassy human woman. This is creative, well written; with engaging characters and the perfect amount of spice… you know fated mates and all!! I cannot wait to find out what happens next so I am off to read book 3, Sinth Seized!

This is the third book in the Sinth Strain Series, a Sci-Fi alien romance, and fates mates romance. This story is interconnected Sinth Savior (Amy and Mavin's story), and Sinth Seeker (Teresa and Payak's story), and I recommend to listen to this series in order. Jade and Desin's story is sweet, sexy, and filled with suspense and intrigue. Pearl Tate and Rodney Steele did a great job with the duet narration. I love their voices together. They have the perfect voice has Jade and Desin. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Sinth Seized. #StoryOrigin

This book 2 in the Sinth Strain Series is an exceptionally written story with Well-crafted characters with strength and depth. These characters have chemistry and learn to trust and love each other. This series is really out of this world with adventure, twists/turns, romance, fated mates and love. This is a must read book and series. I cannot wait for more books from this Author

Jade works at the secret military facility in the Yosemite National Forest. Desin is a Sinth warrior that is there trying to find out about an outbreak. He knows that Jade is his mate because she can see him when he is in his veiled space. They have to overcome several obstacles before they get to their HEA. But it’s an interesting and fun read

The story kept.my attention eventhough the first part is a bit of a repeat of what happened in book one but through Jade and Desin's eyes.
There are several new mysteries brought forth in this book as well as solving one or two from book one.
Desin seems to be a more likeable character than Payak to me. Jade needs Desin's calmness several times.
I can't wait to see what is up with Lana, the Taxin and the other Sinth team.

There’s something weird going on. Jade gets a container containing an unknown substance. The paperwork is not in order. She’s suspicious. Desin is an alien on a team searching for a missing member. When they meet there is an instant spark and soon after Jade runs into trouble and Desin saves her. But there’s a virus that’s even more dangerous.

Well plotted and does work as a stand-alone but you’ll want to read book 1 as well. There are aliens and bad guys and a mystery. I’m ready for more.

I enjoyed this story. The characters are interesting and we get to read about their past as well. The plot is well-built, and the book is full of mystery, romance, and action. We see two couples in this book, Jade and Desin, and Teresa and Payak, although the book is primarily about Jade and Desin. I found the story quite original and I look forward to the next book.

Mostly a retelling of the book one from a perspective of different characters. Tiny drop of new information at the end of the book, but overall, the series plot didn't move forward at all. Dissapointed.

Not really interested to read the next book due to suspicion it will be just a retelling again just from the POV of again a different couple. I can take just so mutch of rechewing the same information over and over again.

This is a good read. Gives me something to think about. It's nice to know that both friends end up with Mates It's good that they find out where the sickness starts. Before it spreads too far And hopefully They find a cure before takes over the whole planet. I hope Somebody Ends up pregnant in 1 of these books. Think about it They're clones they wanna know they can reproduce with their mates. So they don't have to clone anymore.

Sinth Strain
It seems there’s a lot going on at the secret military base in Yosemite where Jade’s assigned. She’s shocked by the intense attraction she has with one of the new arrivals named Desin. So much so that she’s ready to take that important next step for the first time. That’s the first of many surprises for Jade.

The second book in the A Sci-Fi Alien Romance: Sinth Strain series a well written short story that kept me turning pages. Jade and Desin's story, I think my favorite moment is when he comes into the women's washrom to introduce himself, nothing happens then. Intriguing 4 ½ stars - Desin's story is as intriguing as Payak's. It is also illuminating a lot about the new world. I like that Jade is brave, confident and is not afraid to acknowledge her feelings for Desin. The book sure is steamy! I do wish I know more about Mavis and how he met his mate. The whole idea of personal dimensions makes my head spin, but it's certainly a convenient way to get out of Dodge in a hurry.

Once Desin lays eyes on Jade, he's hooked, and his appearance in the Ladies Room both shocks and thrills her. And when he saves her life, well, she's a goner. This tale is a winding one, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter to see what is actually going on.
