I never meant to finish this one. I thought I would just start this and eventually I'll get tired of it but here we are. I actually finished it.😅
So this is the story of Lee Jiwon when he died and was reincarnated a year before the great catastrophe that struck Earth.
The five star rating is for the detailed world building and the plot. The length of the novel is also not that long but it was packed with lots of action. The characters are okay, Jiwon is not your heroic mc, he's very greedy and a bit of a coward but he does things he's supposed to do for a protagonist.
So this one is a blend of scifi and fantasy with mmorpg like system not just for Jiwon but for everyone who became a deva.
So in this world, people are divided into three class: mortals, devas and deities. Mortals are those unfortunate ones that can't become a deva. Devas are the lucky ones who were able to transition from mortals to devas. While deities are higher beings with a higher stats when they transitioned.
Jiwon is a deva but he has his memories from his previous life so he's more like a cheat character.😆
So like a game, people have levels, skills and equipments. There are dungeons and monsters that are used to level up. A lot of political things too with the present of various guilds per country.
The story is very engaging and interesting. There are few face slappings but lots of too convenient things that happened in favor of Jiwon. In short, Jiwon is the luckiest guy, lol.
The fight scenes are also great. I did not like the ending that much. But it was really a novel that I enjoyed reading.

Reincarnation, Gaming System, Unique Powers, Intrigue, and Action, the novel is a typical Korean Lit-RPG.
I am a big fan of second chances and leveling style novels in recent years, but most of them out there really suffer from bad translations or get too nationalist or just plain repetitive.
This one is well translated and ends in just 300 chapters. It gets everything right for the genre while skipping over all the pitfalls. There are no innovative ideas or anything to set it apart from other novels of the genre but there is also nothing that's really annoying making you want to drop it.

It has so much action and so so much story, I found this on accident but I stuck around and loved this book.
