Abigail Weathers loves her husband so much that she’s kept something hidden for years—contact with her troublesome brother. Her brother has been an albatross around her neck for years but he’s her only living kin and every time he contacts her for money, she gives it. Only this time she has to pawn something very dear to her heart and she’s worried that it’ll cost her the one thing she loves—her husband.
Constantine Weathers loves his wife so much that he’s kept something hidden for years—paying his brother-in-law to stay away. Every visit from this scheming cheat has brought Abigail pain so Con has paid the man to stay away. Only this time, he’s worried it’ll cost him the one thing he loves—his wife.
I love stories about already married couples. Abigail and Con were sweet together. They have been together for years they were each other's first and only and they have a long history. The problem is Abigail's brother is trying to ruin their happiness and she keeps secrets from her husband.
Good story but I needed more angst. I wanted them to fight more, doubt each other more and cry more. I know I am crazy but I am a sucker for drama and angst. So yes they were a cute couple but the passion was not there. Cute epilogue with two kids. Safe: dual virgins, no other man, no other woman, no cheating!
A cute love story about childhood sweethearts, whose very passionate marriage has a small glitch, and then things go back to their already happening HEA. The plot has them lying to each other to protect each other, and basically benefitting the heroine's leech of a brother.
I enjoyed that this was not short and we learned a bit about them. The overall conflict was a bit silly though.
This one was up in the air for me because I swear all they had to do was be honest with one another from the start. Couples do keep mini tiny secerts.. but both hiding that they are seeing Abigails conman of a brother behind their backs?! Like really not hard to tell eachother. So that was what annoyed me.. even if the couple was super adorble together.
That was pretty much the whole story.. beside the "trying" to get pregnant and bits of secondary charas.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary charas, Drama, sexy times, no virgins

Still love you de Ella Goode serie Marriage of convenience libro 2
Aww I love Abigail and Con!!! Con will do absolutely everything in his power to make his wife happy. Even if that means paying off her brother to stay away from her. But will her brother eventually be the one thing that drives them apart with the secret they keep?
-safe read -married couple -one and onlys -no om/ow drama -epilogues a few months and a few years
A super sweet read, a love like theirs is something you dream about. The devotion Con has for his wife Abigail will have you melting into a pile of goo.
Keeping secrets from the one you love to keep them safe goes both ways here. Our leads are devoted to one another. Con will do anything to keep Abigail safe, even if it's to keep her brother away from her. He's a leech and only ends up hurting her each time he comes around.
Con's smart though and he tries to play them off each other, planting doubts in both their minds. What he doesn't get is that a love like theirs if solid.
Seriously it’s a joy to read something that may be over the top but it still makes you feel good.
Another good book by Ella Goode. This one wasn't as great as the first one, but I really enjoyed it. I hope there will be a story of Blank and Cindy coming up soon.
Wow this has never happened before. Me giving 1 star to an ella goode book is astronomically unbelievable. Especially since this book has all my fav tropes - high school sweethearts, kind respectful husband, established relationship, virgin h and virgin H who have only ever been with each other.
So why a 1star?
This is in no way a reflection of Ms. Goode's writing but all in the account of the female MC. She got on my nerves! Rare coming from me because my gr friends would know that I go lenient on my h and I'm overly critical only on my H. But I can't believe I spent the past two hours holding out hope that the stupid FMC would stop doing everything in the wrong way. I wasn't convinced she even loved Con.
It's not like I'm averse to lying. I understand that Con did what he had to with a motive to protect to his wife, but this ungrateful Abby didn't lie for the sake of her husband or her love at all. Worse, she used any opportunity to betray her husband for the good-for-nothing runaway brother she had. At the point I dnfed, she was even ready to pawn off the very expensive jewellery her loving husband had got her ( I later found out she in fact went through with it and pawned it off). And for what? To pay her brother for him to spend it off like he always carelessly did? Did she even plan to ask her brother in detail of what he was going to do with the money... her husband's money I might add...? NO. And of course she hid every single thing from her husband. She tells her body guard repeatedly not to tell Con even some simple things. But she gets hurt when her brother implies her husband might be hiding something from her. Wtf girl friend. Your toxic ass didn't deserve the H's love.
This was the first time I read a safe romantic novella and wanted the MMC to end up with someone else... someone who could have truely loved him.
“He wouldn't hide something from me.”
“I bet if you asked him, he’d say the same thing about you.”
His blow lands hard. A tear slips out from my eye. Layla pulls the car over to the side of the road. I mouth to her to take me home. Teddy’s drunk and in pain. So he’s lashing out at me.
Lol. Look at my girl rationalizing her toxicity. Even her drunk af brother sees through her facade. He is not lashing at you gir friend. This is the truth. This comment from her brother was the highlight of the book for me.
I was truly rooting for this couple from the first time we were introduced to them in Always Loved You. Con and Abigail were a wonderful couple and you could tell how much they loved each other. I read an advanced copy of this book.
I don't know why this annoyed me. Both mc's were being played, they both made stupid decisions. I hated all the sneaking and lying. Was hoping for bettet
What an interesting twist. This long novella has two very appealing features. One, it is about a married couple and their undending love and passion for each other. Love that so, so much! They are sweet and sensual and affectionate together, and it melts my heart.
The couple has a lot going on. An elusive pregnancy, his financial job, her investment in her friend's food chain store, and especially a conniving brother who is putting a wedge between them. The couple's relationship with him is at the base of the plot that sizzles with secrets, guilt, trust, and protecting the other from harm.
I really enjoyed the married life the characters share, their funny moments and their erotic ones too. I find it extremely romantic when two people know each other well, share a past and find each other irresistible.
Now, this couple is going through a test. However, only love lies at the bottom of their cloak and dagger operation.
I had a lot of fun with the way Con deals with his adversaries along with some hilarious male help. The different threads of Abby and Con's lives are well handled throughout the story. I wasn't sure how they were going to solve all the problems, after all they go through some sad moments, but they do it as a team and their dreams come true in the most charming way.
The epilogues couldn't be any prettier, especially the second one which is so heart-warming that my face hurt from smiling so much. Really enchanting.
Con loves Abigail so much, that he tries to keep her brother at bay. Abigail loves Con so much, she keeps her relationship with her brother to herself. Super sweet story with brother drama. I’m not usually big on couples who are already together when the story starts, but this one stole my heart!
Ella knocked it our off the park with this one! This story was great! Not many authors can write a great story about a married couple who had insta-love and are still experiencing it. This one hit all my favorites in a short(er) romance story. You will not be disappointed with these two! Add in her idiot brother for some drama... and a few funny moments for a good laugh... I highly recommend this one!
I skipped so much. I understand family and loyalty. I do but my God... She pawned the jewelry her husband got her. Her brother said things that made her question her husband a man you say is sweet and you love him. Simply open your mouth! For me the ending was the best and the epilogues were awesome minus no mention of what happened to teddy after he terrorized them both for the whole book... SMH I just hated this book and I'm in shock! Shock! I Loved Con it's his wife I couldn't deal with. After all the crap her brother put her through she became a TSTL heroine for me. Maybe I'm projecting my own family I have Three Teddy's one my Father and Two Siblings and by the time I was 18 I knew my father for what he was and cut him out oh when I saw him with my siblings I was nice but I knew he wouldn't change. I did hang out hope for my siblings for a few more years but now at 34 I know. No matter what they won't change. I didn't fail them they failed themselves and me. Me for everything I did and all the love I gave. I still love them but the rose tinted glasses are gone I see them for their faults and who they are. So like I said maybe that's why I couldn't stand her. So other might or will enjoy this book it was a big big no for me.
The h best friend from the 1st book. This book wasn't as good as the 1st. The h&H have been in love since high school and married after college. The h brother is a loser leech after money from them and gets money from the H to stay away from the h, and the h gives him money in secret, not knowing that her hubby pays him to stay away. This book is about them lying to each other and keeping it secret. It just was too frustrating. The entire time ur like come the hell on h, just stop. Why lie to ur perfect husband. Uhhhg. Just no. The steam in this book was super glossed over and vague 2/5. There was quite a bit but it was casually mentioned. Overall I liked them both but hated the plot.
°MCs have been together for 12 years (3 married) °They are each other's first and only °Switching POVs °Sweet protective obsessed OTT alpha hero °Weak naive heroine - I felt like slapping her when she pawned the jewellery the hero gave her, I know he was also keeping secrets but I found the heroine's actions particularly frustrating °Free of OW/OM drama °No separation °No cheating °No push/pull °Intimate scenes only between hero and heroine °Epilogue: a few months and a few years later
The characters are fucking idiots. Also let's switch up the genders a little, let's say the wife got the husband a super expensive gift with a lot of love and then he goes and fucking sells it without giving a second thought about the wife, would you be ok with it? Hell to the no. And it's pissing off that he's so damned forgiving.
Still Love You by Ella Goode is the story of Constantine 'Con' Weathers and Abigail 'Abby' Weathers. Con and Abby are married but they are keep a secret from the other because they want the other to be happy and not worry. That secret is Abby's brother...both are trying to protect the other but sometimes secrets come out and can cause damage. Loved this quick hot read.
Another great read by Ella Goode. The love Con and Abigail have for each is true and everlasting. Only Abigail's brother is trying to come between them. Can't wait to see what comes next.
First things first; I love the cover of this book! This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. This story is Abigail and Constantine’s story who we met in Orchard and Heaths story. Abigail and Constantine have been together for twelve years. They are a happily married couple that have hit a bump. When both Abigail and Constantine hide secrets from one another will they work through them? The chemistry between Constantine and Abigail is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I really disliked Teddy. I understand why Abigail was the way she was but she was super trusting at the wrong times. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
Still Love You is Constantine (Con) and Abigail's book. You will remember Abigail is Orchard's friend from the first book in the Marriage of Convenience series, Always Loved You. Con and Abigail have been together for years now and already married. For Con he believes his marriage is solid and nothing could tear them apart. However, there is a secret that both Con and Abigail are keeping from each other.
Now this story was super cute and extra sweet. But I guess that's why I knocked it down in ratings too. When we get a book with a married couple that's already established I kind of wish for more drama or angst. I wanted Con to be at least a little upset that his wife would rather pawn a rare jewelry set to help her brother out rather than tell him what was going on. I can't be mad at Con, because even Abigail acknowledges that he of course would hide things like her brother still coming around to protect her.
If wishing to read a story about a guy who is so in love with his wife that he makes her the centre of his universe and will do anything to protect her then this is the story you want. Con who is extremely wealthy and Abigail have been sweethearts since there teens, Teddy who does not believe in working for his money being her only living relative plays the guilt trip on her to wrangle money out of her while at the same time manipulating her hubby to get funds from him. Throughout the book we watch the love and devotion this couple has for each other and when her brother turns on her he will learn nothing can shake this couples foundations.
